Plus who is alisesia and why do her messages keep getting deleted? I haven't managed to read one yet 😂

polejunkie · 09/05/2021 10:54

@Marvellouslymadmum I don’t really have much advice but when I struggle with pain I was prescribed mefanamic avoid which helped but I wasn’t ttc back then, there are stronger painkillers that your docs can give you. Flow... no idea, day 1 and night 1 for me are intense, I often leak - it’s horrid but you’re not alone. Emotionally, one step at a time, there’s no simple fix here I’m afraid. You need to be seen professionally ASAP in my opinion so keep nagging!!

polejunkie · 09/05/2021 10:56

Acid that should have read haha

And I’m intrigued by the deleted messages too although based on how I feel rn if they’re mean or trolling I could probs do without reading one...!

XPeach123 · 09/05/2021 10:57

@notyetamumbuttrying diagnosed as unexplained infertility groans
After my appointment the other week they cant see anything wrong with myself or DH.
Had a good look online and seems in my area we will qualify for two cycles. It's just waiting for that letter, and then a next date.
I have a job interview next week so really torn as to if in offered to take it up. Mat leave in current place is horrendous compared to future potential employer hut you have to be there 12 months to qualify. Is is wrong to take a job, hold back going for IVF for some months just to qualify for a better Mat leave option?!

Marvellouslymadmum · 09/05/2021 10:59

@polejunkie thank you, the doc said she will speak to me again after the scan so should be around next af so I'll get onto her again then. It's day 1 & 2 are a nightmare so not long to put up with it each month luckily then I'm ok again for a while

That's very true about the message lol

polejunkie · 09/05/2021 11:02

@XPeach123 I got a new job and waited 12 months (probation) before trying for a baby, now I wished I hadn’t as that was 2.5 yrs ago and here I am still not pregnant... only you can decide I’m afraid but if ivf is offered and funded I probably wouldn’t put it off as you can fall in and out of the qualifying criteria so easily!

Motherofkittens28 · 09/05/2021 11:46

@XPeach123 I agree with @polejunkie if I had got a new job when I first wanted to I would now qualify for maternity provision! As sad as it is you also have to remember that it often takes 3 rounds of ivf to be successful so that's 9months plus of your life potentially to be holding out (you have to wait 2 months between each cycle). I think we all just have to carry on with our lives and when the baby comes manage it then. I think we've all learned that you can't plan for these things!

notyetamumbuttrying · 09/05/2021 12:35

@paintfairy they don't seem to listen unless it's painful periods, sex and infertility. It's ridiculous as you don't need all 3 to have endo by any means!
@polejunkie first scan booked for 17th May and happy to keep you updated if you think it'll help you know roughly what to expect etc? I know exactly what you mean! It's like you're in limbo if things aren't happening. It'll be soon tho 💕
@Marvellouslymadmum omg exactly the same as me then! Why do we torture ourselves! 😩
So endo pain, you need two painkillers really. Paracetamol and ibuprofen didn't cut it for me so I swapped paracetamol for codeine and took that alongside ibuprofen every 3 hours as I couldn't reach 4 hours before the pain got unbearable again. Hot water bottle is also your friend. Can't help with flow as mine was "normal". Coping emotionally is a tough one as everyone's different. For me, I knew I was getting a lap so that kept me going. I hope you get your lap soon too!
@XPeach123 I really feel for couples with that diagnosis as it isn't really one is it.
I don't think it's wrong to do that. If it's the job you want, don't let ivf hold you back as you'll only regret it!

Yes please @notyetamumbuttrying if you’re happy to, it’s nice to know how someone’s journey has gone in real life (I know everyone is different) but I have nothing to go by right now, other than down regs (nasal spray) to egging with and on long protocol. How are you feeling about it all? What meds are you on again?

crazycatlady1981 · 09/05/2021 19:10

Just catching up! Been out visiting gardens in the rain and getting lots of fresh air this weekend! 😊🌷🌳

@Motherofkittens28 omg! You have the most beautiful hair!! 💕 absolutely love the style and colour!!

@Crazydoglady123 yay for your embabies on board!! And so great that you have some in the freezer too!

@polejunkie @paintfairy I also get spotting for about a week before af arrives and have slightly shorter cycles usually 26/27 days. I’m unexplained too! There’s got to be some reason why it’s not happening for us 🤔🤷🏻‍♀️

@XPeach123 welcome to the group! I’m also waiting for ivf to start! Hoping I will get the go ahead for my next cycle! 🤞🏻 It’s such a tedious journey!!

@Annny27 🤣🤣 that would’ve been hilarious!!

paintfairy · 09/05/2021 19:16

@crazycatlady1981 @polejunkie yes mine are 26/27 days too. My spotting varies in time and heaviness. But can be any time from ovulation onwards. If I'm really lucky its just the last 4 days before AF. Sometimes it's just spotting. Other times it's really more than that.

crazycatlady1981 · 09/05/2021 19:39

@paintfairy yes I sometime get cramps along with the spotting which makes me feel really uncomfortable during the tww and my spotting is also quite variable, but most often starts from 7/8 dpo. My acupuncture has helped with the cramps, but still get the spotting.

notyetamumbuttrying · 09/05/2021 19:48

@polejunkie yeah not a problem at all! I'm not even on the spray. I'm injecting buserelin daily and then will switch to menopur once I'm scanned and they give me the go ahead. Feeling ok. Get headaches from the injections and go a bit weird sometimes. Do you know what stimming drugs you'll get?

@Annny27 haha omg that would've been amazing if you did 😝

Motherofkittens28 · 09/05/2021 20:25

@paintfairy, @crazycatlady1981, @polejunkie I have 27 day cycles too these days, they always used to be 28 until about a year ago. My cycles vary, sometimes I spot from day 21 onwards but recently that has stopped and I had nothing at all this cycle. I spotted from day 4 post embryo transfer I my ivf cycle, 6 days of spotting and then AF arrived 2 days before my official test day. This time I have extra progesterone injections to try and stop that happening again.
It's odd that there are a few of us with similar issues. I think they put everything for me down to my age and low AMH and I guess the endo doesn't help but I often wonder if its something more than that.

Annny27 · 09/05/2021 20:34

So spotters- I am one too. My friend had this and she actually found that she had endo on her cervix so I reckon its endo related!

paintfairy · 09/05/2021 21:27

@Annny27 can you see endo on your cervix? Someone peered at mine and reckoned it was ok. I always bleed after a smear though. Never through sex.
@Motherofkittens28 @crazycatlady1981 @polejunkie they tried me on progesterone randomly before IUI. That month I didn't spot at all. But when we just did the IUI cycle- i started spotting Monday (AF came Thursday tea time) despite the progesterone. So 🤷‍♀️ I will mention that to them next time (when I eventually go) and I'm not sure if they'll give me more. But if you Google progesterone symptoms- one is breakthrough bleeding so potentially too much could also cause a problem. I'm which case how the hell do you know what it's from?

crazycatlady1981 · 09/05/2021 22:20

@Annny27 @paintfairy @polejunkie @Motherofkittens28 I used to get spotting after sex about 10-12 years ago, went to GP about it and it was a cervical erosion which I’m assuming healed up after a while as I eventually stopped bleeding after sex. I’m wondering now if it relates to endo in any way? 🤔 will have to consult Dr Google!!

paintfairy · 09/05/2021 22:24

@crazycatlady1981 I was just thinking about this. I went to the gp before we really started ttc with my spotting in 2019. People there looked and saw nothing. But when referred to gynae she said i had an erosion, although claimed that wouldn't be causing my issue? But if it started to cause problems with sex or whatever then they could burn it off. And that was that. I next went back as I don't bleed with sex. Just in my LP.

Juno231 · 09/05/2021 22:31

@paintfairy from memory spotting in the LP is def a symptom of endo!

@Motherofkittens28 holy cow your hair is worth of a Disney princess?! 😍

@notyetamumbuttrying sorry about the BFN :/

Just plodding along here. CD5 so waiting around for FW to start on Fri. Feels pretty pointless though but hey ho.

Marvellouslymadmum · 09/05/2021 22:40

@notyetamumbuttrying thank you, I'll try the codeine and ibuprofen and see if that helps! I think I'll be ok when I know things are actually moving but at the moment I feel like I'm in limbo again and I don't have time for it!

😂@Annny27 that nearly just made me snort my decaf tea! Ewcm 🤦🏼‍♀️

Annny27 · 10/05/2021 06:43

Unfortunately guys the excitment has been short lived, think I am having a chemical pregnancy as had a bit of spotting last night and now today's test was barely even a line, a definite squinter :(

Gutted obviously! 2 miscarriages now and still on the ttc slog

got2be · 10/05/2021 09:08

@Annny27 since you’ve already had a mc the epu should see you.
But spotting can be normal at around the time you would normally expect af, and could your urine be diluted? Fmu never works for me...
fingers crossed everything works out ok xx
