@2020mission I didn't actually think about it before but we actually didn't have the SA results back when I had my first appointment. He was actually awaiting his repeat SA results and my consultant was happy for me to forward them to him when we got them. In the meantime he booked me in for a Hycosy and went through my options depending on what the result was.

@Crazydoglady123 yeah been sorting out what I'm gonna pack in my bag and got prune juice yesterday and charcoal tabs arrived today so feel set! Just need to try and sleep, my sis dropped a bombshell tonight about her starting ivf with donor sperm (she's single), likely be same time as us or before so gonna be major awks if one catches and the other doesn't etc 😖 knew she'd had fertility tests but didn't know when or if she was gonna start!
@sunshineandshowers3 have you started investigations yet or you waiting until next month?

Oh @notyetamumbuttrying I recommend difflam spray for your throat after, mine was killing me for three days after having the breathing tube in.

@Motherofkittens28 thank you! Yes I did, my local pharmacy had them so got one from there and then the hospital rang and said the courier was defo coming! He did come so now I've got a spare 😆 getting the back of my tonsils was rough! I hope I left it there long enough.

@notyetamumbuttrying it's been OK, the most painful AF I can remember, but hopefully thats just it clearing everything out post surgery! I'm having issues with my mental state, just feel like I can't carry on with the stress of it all, been trying to think of ways I can cut my working days whilst still being able to afford ivf. Just need to be pregnant already as I think I could cope then!
Make sure to take it easy over the next few days post surgery and get your OH to wait on you hand and foot!

@notyetamumbuttrying wow what a bombshell about your sister, hopefully you’ll both catch! I know a few sisters that seem to get pregnant at the same time so maybe there is something in the air.

All good, we’ve got a consult with the Doctor post the AFC and AMH tests for them to explain what it all means so I’m looking forward to that! Other than that I’ve been a bit distracted from TTC as have had a lot on with work but it’s a nice break to be worrying about something different 😂 hope you’re well and all goes smoothly for you 🙏

@MiniBaker I'm the same no idea what my results mean now finally got a follow up appt 10th june for a plan. @aimzie I'm not sure if those lines are there or evap lines, was that soon after doing them? could GP do a blood test for you?

@kerrym87 I did a few of them last week and the evaps came after 15mins and was just a thin line, they showed like that after 2 minutes, yeah I just don't want to go back to the doc yet incase its nothing as she will think I'm mad 😂 was in 5 weeks ago with the CP so I think il just wait until I get a clear test 🤔 if not I think il just put it all out of my mind until my clinic appointment next Thursday

@Motherofkittens28 eeek! 😱 It’s insane amounts of money isn’t it? I know my med costs will be similar if the first round fails and we go private for second round as I’ve got similar AFC and AMH to you. It sounds like they have a much better grasp on how you respond now though so there’s a really good chance for your next round!! 🤞🏻

Thanks @crazycatlady1981, yes they have made quite a few changes for the next cycle so fingers crossed. It's much more like the cycle I did when I had my eggs frozen and I got 6 eggs then, albeit I was younger. We've now spent more than £12.5k on ivf, I know we have to keep going but it's scary when you think of how much it might end up costing!
@Marvellouslymadmum I think because they are private prescription you are essentially paying the full price with no NHS subsidy. I still haven't got over how crap it is that I wasn't entitled to anything on the NHS because I live 2 miles the wrong side of a county line!

@Juno231 he just said "They must be closed until June since that's the soonest they can give" so he thinks it wasn't his fault. I told him that's not true but I've let it go now since he eventually did call himself and book it and there's nothing I can do now. Men 🙄

I just noticed the assisted conception unit we are having the infertility appointment through state on their website:

"Since the results of your partner’s semen test will influence which treatment is most suitable for you, it is most important that your partner has had a sample analysed prior to your appointment. This should be arranged with his General Practitioner. Please note that:
• if, despite this request, your partner does NOT supply a semen sample as instructed, your first visit to ACS will be cancelled and you must contact us to arrange another appointment."

That's not what the receptionist said when I called 😬
