@kerrym87 thank you for replying, I've been trying to handle it with paracetamol and ibuprofen but I may get some codeine in for next month. I've never really thought about a moon cup to be honest but that may be a good solution so I'll definitely look into that, thank you. I've actually got my referal letter through today to see a gynaecologist in august so that's much better than the November they originally said! Hopefully they'll book me in for a lap. I suspected I may have pcos before and I do have Lh double my fsh if I've got pcos and endo that would make things really bad so I do hope not!

There's a new thread now, link is a few posts ago xx

@Marvellouslymadmum my lh is double my fsh but in normal range, I have pcos x

@Marvellouslymadmum sorry a bit behind had no signal on holiday. I use paracetamol and ibuprofen with endo periods ( not an issue for using a few days) and codeine if I need it. I have also found, weirdly that using a menstrual cup doesn't leak at all and they hold up to 30 mls a time, it means things don't dry out and it doesn't hurt as much as removing a tampon. Don't worry about using painkillers as a temporary solution there's no harm from it at all. Just keep ringing the clinic/doctors repeatedly as if you don't keep on at them then they don't realise how bad it is or how quickly you need seeing. You can get removal during a lap although at some point does grow back x

@notyetamumbuttrying I am okay thank you, just bleeding quite heavily but no pain thankfully!

@polejunkie everything with fertility takes forever doesnt it!

notyetamumbuttrying · 11/05/2021 12:51

@Annny27 I think they will, they did with me. How you feeling today?
@polejunkie agree, long protocol is defo living up to its name, I won't lie! I didn't realise the lead times before starting as tbh I'd thought I'd be on short.
@Motherofkittens28 glad injections went well! What you said to @Marvellouslymadmum sounds right. I'm not too hot on lh and fsh as I am about afc and amh.

@Annny27 fingers crossed for you! Luckily I have referral etc and all in place but there's still loads of waiting around, especially if you get put on long protocol

Annny27 · 11/05/2021 10:03

@polejunkie I feel the same I think my ivf referral will be ages away! Although as we have an issue (endo) as opposed to being unexplained then hopefully after the surgery they will do it quickly

@Motherofkittens28 yay to the first injections - hope you find some energy from somewhere, I'm always tired and I sleep loads haha

@Marvellouslymadmum I can't remember precisely but if your estrogen is high it can be artificially lowering your FSH so the results have to be looked at together. Trouble is you tend to get all these results from a GP and they generally don't know much about what they mean. When you see fertility would ask them about it specifically as then you'll get a proper answer!

Morning all, absolutely exhausted today for some reason. First injections done, fiddly but all good and no pain. I obviously don't have any nerves in my thighs!

@notyetamumbuttrying I'm right in the middle range for Lp so I'm guessing it would be right in the middle for fp as well which would make it around 7.5 in fp I think

@Marvellouslymadmum yeah that's right. Mines higher than yours and I'm younger than you, so looks good to me! X

@notyetamumbuttrying I would guess so, there's probably some studies that say it's better day 3 and some that say it doesn't matter! I'm guessing being right in the middle for fsh should mean I have a decent ovarian reserve though especially for my age, because it's supposed to be low isn't it?

@Marvellouslymadmum oh interesting. Tbf mine came with a chart as well with the different ranges across the different phases of the cycle so must be fine yeah. Weird why they even bother with day 3s in that respect then. Suppose each trust does it differently.

@notyetamumbuttrying I tried asking the doctor that and they just said no it's fine because there are different ranges for different times of the month so I have the list of all the ranges for every time. I've attached a pic. So my Lh is double my fsh but my fsh is right in the middle range which I think is good

@Marvellouslymadmum interesting that you got lh and fsh on day 21, they should be on day 3 for accurate readings.

@got2be I'm not sure it makes any difference when oestrogen is tested to be honest, it says on my results that the levels in follicular phase should be 114-332. Can't believe the doc didn't pick up on mine being so high!
