I am weirdly enough about to do a pregnancy test to check that it is negative and even more weirdly am really hoping it is so I can start my OPKs and DH and I can get back to TTC!

Hi all - can't believe we're on thread four already! I know that's not much compared to some other MN groups but when I first joined here I thought SI was a weird thing that nobody has heard about - it has been so amazing to know a bunch of strong women who are exploring the same options 🥰

@Makingnumber2 hope you got your bfn today - such a weird thing to say but I know exactly how you feel. I bled for five weeks on and off after my mc - honestly it was such a hellish limbo, and I peed on so many sticks hoping to get rid of that one line I so desperately had wanted to see just a few weeks earlier... @Carol1980 hoping your situation clears up quickly too.

@Oily - I think we're cycle buddies this cycle! I am also due my period most likely on Monday but might be Sun.

Oily thank you for thinking of me ❤️ I’m still not pregnant-AF got me on Sunday so CD5 today. Feeling as crap as ever but trying to stay positive. I do read this thread every week or so to see what everyone is up to. How annoying your AF is due later but I really really hope its your cycle and the twinges are good twinges!
I also have a pregnant best friend and a work pregnant friend... neighbour had her baby a few months ago but anytime I’m in my garden I can hear it which is like a stab through the heart! Not even safe in my own house anymore! it is so hard to process other people’s pregnancy’s when they get pregnant 1st try and have no problems and I can’t shake the feeling of feeling unfair but I have to remember that’s life and it’s unfair for everyone. I’m sure our time will come and like @MrsKin90 said our babies will be the little ones new to the group ❤️ I really can’t handle another pregnancy announcement so I don’t look at my fb anymore - not until I’m in a happier place myself anyway!

@Lori23TTC hello my lovely, always thinking of you. So sorry you feel it’s a bit inescapable and sending you a big squeeze. Good idea staying off social media, I do too save the very rare occasion I click on a link and it takes me to fb. Last time I did that and clicked the back button two distant friends were announcing their pregnancy. I find it’s safer to stay off it then run the gauntlet of emotions it can stir up. You’re protecting yourself and your wellbeing for now which just adds to being healthier all round ☺️

I agree, it is really unfair as we all desperately want a baby and for a lot of us this will be our first time becoming a mum. Hurts when it’s so longed for.
At acupuncture yesterday I had to listen to a client tell the acupuncturist about her early pregnancy, when it’s due etc etc. I’d already been thinking about my little departed gorgeous cat so hearing that I started crying during my acupuncture, cried on the drive to Tesco and on the way home-opened the floodgates! Our next door has the sweetest little girl, she’s absolutely adorable and I hear her and her mum chatting and it breaks my heart-I want that so badly.

Sorry about you feeling upset or getting down, most of us are with you in the same boat so big hugs and as always sending you lots of luck for your next SI.

Just to update it is still a BFP but very, very faint so I feel reassured still that hormones etc are moving in the right direction. I also did an OPK with same urine sample as thought I may as well but it was negative, which I wasn't surprised by once I realised a faint pos had shown on the HCG one.
@Lori23TTC I'm so sorry AF got you and also that you're surrounded by pregnancies and babies currently. It must be so hard having one right next door and feeling like you can't escape.

@primrosechill I really hope AF doesn't show for you this cycle- but I hope knowing you've got a new plan of action up your sleeve is helping take the pressure/nerves out of the TWW for you.

@Oilyoilyoilgob I'm so sorry your acupuncture session was disturbed in that way- I know how you've found them to be such a wonderful sanctuary to relax and be with your thoughts. Would you be able to bring some headphones and music next time so you don't have to overhear any similar conversations in future? Just to try and protect your head (and ear) space a bit? Sending a massive hug.

@Makingnumber2 that’s a great idea, I’ll bring some earbuds (if they stay in, I have small ear canals 😅) and do that. Perils of being a community acupuncture clinic! I know this can happen, there was a pregnant lady in last week. It’s more me because I’ve been really teary the last few days so pretty much anything could’ve set me off!

That’s good news that hormonally things are moving forward, hopefully it’ll settle soon for you. Nothing wrong with doing a daily opk either, at least you’ll get a good idea of raised LH and see a darker line building.

Thanks for tagging me. I'm 7dpo, having some breast tenderness and can't stop eating so am really hoping these are good signs.

I've had all my fertility tests done in the last few weeks. AMH is 14 which is apparently "excellent" for my age. My progesterone level yesterday was 27.4, which while a touch low, hopefully means I ovulated.

@Oilyoilyoilgob Ahh I don't think I could take listening to anyone talk about pregnancy when you're meant to be relaxing and healing. I'd have cried my eyes out. I'm sorry that happened ❤️

@bitheby hope your symptoms are good signs! 🤞🤞 Great news on your tests! One less battle to fight.

Maybe I'm 2dpo today 🤔 maybe. I'm meant to have progesterone test redone this cycle but as it's such a mess I'm gonna conquer it next cycle if I don't get a bfp this time.

Ultrasound for my uterus on Monday. Then hubby's SA on Thursday followed by more acupuncture for me ❤️ things to.. "look forward" to. One step at a time!

@MrsKin90 it wasn’t ideal, I do understand I may overhear things due to community sessions. Just stung that bit more due to feeling emotional anyway. I think I needed to just release the tears in general, it felt good to have some really good cries to even myself out!

Can I please ask, is your uterus ultrasound on the nhs or private? If nhs is it because you are under the care of a fertility clinic?

Hi ladies I'm new here. Ttc baby number 2. This is our 4th month trying. I read about the syringe method yesterday, mentioned it to dh and he jumped at the chance

We did it last night and again tonight (currently lying with my legs in the air!)

It's really taking the pressure off. DTD is fine the first 2-3 times in the month but then it becomes such a chore!

I supposedly ovulated yesterday and trying to follow the sperm meets egg method so keeping my fingers crossed!

@Oilyoilyoilgob I'm always happy to be asked anything 🥰 this is literally just a standard ultrasound ordered by my doctor to look at my ovaries and uterus and make sure it's normal looking I think? It's not the one that I actually want with the tube dye to see if the fallopians are blocked. That's, I assume, only under the fertility clinic? If we need that I think I might pay privately as don't think I can wait until my BMI is good enough to be referred and then the waiting list after that just for a standard test. I'm no where near being referred to a clinic 🤦 still need the SA to be done and my weight to come down. So probably like five years away 😂
Crying is really good for you health-wise. Helps to release all those stress hormones!

@inkworks273 welcome to the SI club! That’s exactly how we felt and feel about SI too.. definitely takes the pressure off both of us. Fingers crossed this month is your month.

Ladies, I need your expertise... excuse the erray of OPKs cello taped to paper 😂 what the f is going on here? Am I due to peak soon? the last 4 were all taken today as I was assuming peak would be now. I am CD17 and tend to ovulate around this time. What do you think is going on?

@MrsKin90 that’s good to know, thank you. Not something I was offered but we’ll see after I get my second mmr and we ask for a fertility referral on the nhs. For us an nhs referral depends on the timescale of waiting, if it’s months then we’ll start privately.
I think you can get a hycosy privately, and it definitely won’t be 5 years until you get referred 😅 You really doing amazingly getting the ball rolling, you’re already taking steps to get there 💖

@Sydney1986x aww thanks, it’s honestly ok, real life is going on although I do wish she’d have cut it short because there was two of us in there laying back trying to relax 😁 Probably not a chat I’ll be having really soon, tried a pregnancy test stick this morning and it’s come up negative. It’s not a surprise to me as I do believe these heightened emotions are down to lovely PMT!

I think your stick 5 down from the top, and also 5 up from the bottom look your darkest lines to my eyes there.
Do you have a few months worth to compare, as in do you ever get your test line come up much darker than the control? Or does your darkest line of any month still tend to be slightly lighter than the control line? I’d say the lines now look like your lh level is going back down, but I’d keep testing for a few days to make sure you don’t have a double peak! Wishing you all the luck in the world for your SI this month ✨

Hello. I just wanted to say hi and thanks for tagging me into the new thread. Even tho I was only on here briefly I love this thread and I do still check in on you all.

I've been doing an IVF cycle. Finished the stimulation phase and have had a transfer (which basically means the embryos are now inside me and we just have to wait). Test day is Tuesday 13th April.

I know there have been some hard times since I was last here and I send so much love to all of you xxx

@Oilyoilyoilgob I feel the same about any holistic therapy or massage- I want no one to speak to me, or hear anyone, I want to unwind 🤣 no small talk please! oh no, sorry that some Pre menstrual symptoms seem to be coming. There is such a big overlap though so try to keep positive no matter how hard that is.

Iusually have a very obvious OPK which is darker than the control line but not this month. Here are the previous 2 months 🧐 so I’m stumped with how this months look but I agree with the two you pointed out.

I think just to cover all bases I will continue to test 3x a day and also continue with the SI 😁 just incase!

@Sydney1986x I agree with Oily about the 2 darkest ones- 1st one being 5 from top. Which day was the first v dark one this month? I have read online and also remember eloise mentioning it before that some women have 2 LH surges in a cycle- a big one, then a smaller one before ovulation. So it's possible your cycle is doing that this month rather than just one LH surge directly before Ov?
This is from modernfertility.com: According to a few studies (here, here, and here), there are many different LH surge patterns: 42-48% of cycles have a short LH surge before ovulation; 33-44% of cycles have two LH surges (an initial big rise, small drop, then a second rise in LH); and 11-15% of cycles have a "plateau" pattern (when LH levels remain...
I would deffo get/keep SI-ing and testing twice-3 times a day just to keep an eye on what's happening.

@Makingnumber2 thank you for the info and reassurance! The one at the top was CD15 and the other strongest one was CD17. I had no idea that could happen twice, I learn so much all the time 😆 will def keep on testing and DTD thank you.

Looking at this month and the previous two from your photos, I would say you have not ovulated yet. Also I don't think there's darkness variation in them that cannot be explained by variations in urine concentration and dye amount in each strip, does that make sense? I think you've had more or less stable LH levels so far, however, it looks like your surge can start quite suddenly, so it could happen any day! Fingers crossed 🤞🏼 it doesn't keep you waiting too long! And best of luck with SI! ❤️

@Janefx40 great to hear from you and hoping for the stickiest bean for you. My ivf medicine/injections arrived yesterday (forcing me to freeze half of stuff from my fridge - I didn't realise just how much space they will take up 😂) so unless by some miracle I find out I'm already pregnant in the next 2-3 days, I'll be joining the club next week. How have you found it? Would love to hear some ivf stories from the fellow baster/SI convert.
