Hey everyone

We're ttc on cycle 2, I'm normally on a 25-28 day cycle but on CD31 now and nothing, I did a test this evening but was negative, going to try again in the morning

I'm never this late so not sure what's going on😓 anyone else late but negative test?

I’ve got pink blood again. Nothing about this month makes sense. Got stomach pains too and am exhausted but don’t think that’s linked!

How are you both feeling?

A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 · 12/03/2021 19:29

@surreychick Annoying. Did either the Dr or the clinic say what was up or what to expect? I'm similar to you I think, tiny bit of brown blood, stomach and back cramps all day.

choccrumpet · 12/03/2021 19:39

That sounds very frustrating, I hope you get your period soon and are able to start a new cycle!

I'm a bit overwhelmed with the amount of information out there about pregnancies, chemicals, miscarriages, reasons for all, to go private and investigate or not. It's so hard to know what to do. This will be our 8th month trying and I don't know at what point do we decide that something isn't right and we should start getting tested, looking into clinics, spending money towards that etc. On the surface we think we're both healthy and everything is okay according to basic bloods.
@surreychick how did you and your partner decide when IVF was the next step or to do any testing, if you had any done? This might be very personal so you don't have to share if it's too much.

surreychick · 12/03/2021 20:24

We were trying for 18 months but after a year we got referred for testing. I have had numerous bloods and an HSG and my husband has had semen tests - everything came back normal and I was having a regular cycle.

We decided to go private after my husband was told we’d have to wait 3 months for a semen test only to then be told due to COVID it had to be delayed again. When we called the private clinic they booked him in the next day and we had our initial appointment three days later.

We were recommended the clinic by a friend and So far they have been amazing. We are Surrey based by it’s in London - if you’d like the recommendation I can let you know. Honestly if money isn’t a problem in that sense I would highly recommend it but I am 37 so time wasn’t on our side so much!!

choccrumpet · 12/03/2021 21:15

@surreychick thank you for sharing. Sounds like private was the best option and I can see why. I'm sorry you've had such a difficult time.

We've decided to give it a few more months and reassess then if nothing happens.

I'm glad the clinic is great! I hope things will work out for you. Believe that they will 💕

surreychick · 13/03/2021 08:26

Thank you @choccrumpet

I finally got my period this morning, I’m not sure how long it will last but it was there and I’m slightly relieved to be honest! It’s the second best thing to not having a baby!!

A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 · 13/03/2021 21:21

@surreychick it is a relief, I think mine is finally starting also!

I've ordered all of my stuff for next month, incl a thermometer, the soy I mentioned before, Proceive vitamins and pomegranate juice to thicken lining up. Kind of throwing everything at it this month, and if nothing, I'll go get private tests also

A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 · 13/03/2021 21:26

Fingers crossed for us all!

A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 · 21/03/2021 13:57

@surreychick and @choccrumpet how are you both doing?

surreychick · 21/03/2021 14:02

Hi both

I was thinking of you both yesterday and thought I should drop a message on here, you’ve just beaten me to it @A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 Smile

I’m ok, feeling more in control again - my period was very heavy and had a weird blood clot in which I’ve never had before from memory. Was a bit bigger than a raisin and very hard - no idea why I had that.

I’m about to start ovulating again according to the calendar but no idea if I will or not! I have my second appt with the clinic on Friday so we’ll know more then.

How are you both?

X

A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 · 21/03/2021 14:19

Hi Surrey, pleased you're okay! Good here thanks, the weather changing has been so good for me, feeling really positive and getting out lots.

My period was a bit like that too, v long and heavy and clotty 😥 and just allround unpleasant. V strange, maybe you'll get an idea of what that could be at your appointment.

That's awesome you've got your appointment this week, things are really moving for you.

I think i'll be ovulating hopefully in a week, but I'll have to monitor in case the soy iso have brought it forward x

[AUTO]ggqpnkmj8xba8 · 21/03/2021 14:21

Has anyone tested yet?

choccrumpet · 21/03/2021 16:43

Hi both, glad to hear your both doing well!

Perhaps they were chemical pregnancies and HCG levels were too low to pick up?

@surreychick hope your appointment goes well!

I'm doing okay, feeling better (as is normal for me during this time of my cycle). Waiting for ovulation to happen any day hopefully. I've been using the clearblue ovulation tests so the results are easier to read and I don't have to do the guesswork. This cycle is going by quite slowly so am trying to enjoy the time while we can instead of worrying and wishing it away and for things to hurry up. The lovely weather helps!

A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 · 21/03/2021 17:55

Hi Choc, don't think mine was, just think the lining for me had a lot of time to build up.

Aah fingers crossed for ovulation soon, and glad you're enjoying the nicer weather also! What do you think of the Clearblue? I got so many flashing smileys, too many, and no peak. I bought the bog standard peak or not clearblue ones this time, will see how those are

choccrumpet · 21/03/2021 18:27

@A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 let's hope for a more positive cycle this time!

This is only my second time using the clearblue ones, I was using the normal strips before but last cycle they didn't show a peak and were difficult to judge so I thought I'd try these again. First time I used them I had flashing smileys for about 11 days and then finally got a static. If you use them again don't give up testing as it says on the pack. My ovulation was late that cycle so am going to keep going until I hopefully get it this time too. On CD14 today and expecting ovulation in a few days so will let you know if it works. I'm also using fmu because I can't be bothered holding my urine for 3/4 hours to test in the evening so it's a bit of an experiment

choccrumpet · 21/03/2021 20:30

Btw if either of you are interest and have the premom app, you'll be able to get 25 ovulation tests for £0.09, just follow the 2 steps it asks you to do (can share to specific people on fb so not everyone can see) and use the code it gives you to buy on Amazon. If you don't have the apps I'm not sure if the offer is available

Wow that's such a good deal regarding the opks!

Just caught up so sorry to hear about the struggles with you all this month, I'm now out of my fertile window think I ovulated last week, got a positive opk on Wednesday so now just waiting again to see the outcome 🤷🏽‍♀️

Hope you're all well fingers crossed we have a better month xx

choccrumpet · 21/03/2021 20:54

@Gspps nice to get something on offer considering how much money we spend on all of this every month!

Fingers crossed for you!

I'll be so happy once we don't have to do all of this again for a while.. this experience has not been fun. I hope we all get to that point soon xx

A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 · 23/03/2021 09:03

@choc thanks, for some reason the flashing smiley enraged me 😂 the bog standard clear ⭕️ seems better for me. Flo is saying I’m 5 days away from ovulation so not far behind you I don’t think. Am temping for the first time to try to figure things out also

A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 · 23/03/2021 09:05

I took soy isoflavones this cycle at the start, and my nipples are tingly and boobs sore at the front still a week later. Plus some headaches, apparently this means a strong estrogen response. Don’t normally have any of this so it’s doing something, but I don’t know if it’s a good thing or not 🤷‍♀️

choccrumpet · 23/03/2021 09:40

@A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 those symptoms sound positive! Are you expecting to ovulate earlier?

I'm feeling a bit down and frustrated. On CD16 and still no peak. I think maybe I ovulate quite late into my cycle so the luteal phase isn't long enough. I've ordered the isoflavones you recommended for my next cycle as I'm not counting on this one to go well, might be a bit premature to feel like this but don't feel like it'll happen this time. It's getting harder to feel positive with each month

A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 · 23/03/2021 13:50

I don't know actually, Flo is saying it'll be 5 days, and I've clear circles on the Clearblue opks still. Temp has been stable all week. I'm on the soy iso thread, and some managed to move their ovulation forwards by taking it 2-6. Taking it beyond this has delayed it. Ovulation pains and nausea were mentioned though when taking it, so hopefully it does something!

Do you think your losses might have your hormones a bit out of whack? I don't think I used to ovulate so late either, and I've not had as many as you.

Its definitely premature! Hopefully you'll have tempted fate and wasted money on the soy

choccrumpet · 23/03/2021 17:50

@A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 that's the risk of taking soy iso so makes me nervous but if nothing happens this month then I guess worth trying something different.

Potentially? Or maybe I've always ovulated later. This is only my 3rd time using OPKs so can't say I knew when I was ovulating during other months so maybe the problem is later ovulation and shorter luteal phase, who knows.

I hope so, wouldn't we all love that 😫

A1b2c3d4e5f6g7 · 23/03/2021 18:42

I'll update, I should know something from my cycle before you have to consider taking it. I know what you mean, I was concerned it could mess up my regular cycle for this and next month and waste two months. But we'll see

Gspps · 25/03/2021 22:01

Hey ladies,

I'm 7dpo getting bad cramps, anyone else had this before ? I don't know if it's normal in my cycle I do get them before af due but not this intense, really hope it's something!

Hope you're all well xx
