Hey,

So... this is month 24 of TTC and I've just invested in a ferti lily! 😂 it's last resort before turning to science!

So long story short, I have 2 DC from a previous relationship. I have been trying for 2 years for another as my new partner doesn't have any and obviously I would love another one. I have had all tests etc and I have been diagnosed with a blood disorder which hopefully will be sorted with Asprin. I have had 2 chemical pregnancies along the way.

DP has low mobility hence trying the ferti lily!

So my question is.. has anyone else been using this?

Yes will also be reporting back! It seems like a newish product

Marvellouslymadmum · 31/03/2021 17:58

@PurpleUnicorn01 I think it's been around for a little while but so few people know about it that it's hard to get to know the true stats, I've read some great reviews on it though!

SlothMamaToBe · 01/04/2021 17:21

@MummyT13 I’m well thanks - how are you doing? 5dpo here so looong 2ww to get through!! Used it only twice again but that was because that’s all we managed during fertile window 😄.

Marvellouslymadmum · 01/04/2021 18:15

@SlothMamaToBe I'm 6dpo here and I think I used it two or three times lol

MummyT13 · 02/04/2021 08:30

@SlothMamaToBe I'm okay thanks. Currently 8DPO today. Been a weird month though. I've been taking conceive plus fertility vitamins and they've made me hormonal since day 1 🙄 used the fertilily twice so will have to see... I don't even have ovulation symptoms thins month but I'm guessing that's the vitamins regulating my hormones 🤷🏻‍♀️ x

Hi everyone how are we all doing?
I’m 10dpo and had spotting. Not looking great...
@MummyT13 weird about the vitamins having such a strong effect but makes sense I suppose. Hope they are working positively for you!

Marvellouslymadmum · 09/04/2021 20:45

@SlothMamaToBe I'm 14dpo here and no af yet but I'm sure she's on her way, had lots of good signs all through the tww but now I think it's af instead!

MummyT13 · 09/04/2021 21:03

@SlothMamaToBe @Marvellouslymadmum I'm also 14DPO and Af is defo on her way 😞 hope you're all okay! X

Marvellouslymadmum · 09/04/2021 21:17

@MummyT13 sorry af is on its way I'm
Just feeling rather meh if I'm honest, I really do feel like it's just never going to happen for us and everyone on the other threads I'm on are getting on with tests and ivf etc and I'm stuck where I am with no time left 😔

SlothMamaToBe · 09/04/2021 21:28

@Marvellouslymadmum sorry you are feeling low 💜. I can relate. It seems impossible for me to even imagine a BFP after so long of trying. Sending love your way.

Marvellouslymadmum · 09/04/2021 21:40

@SlothMamaToBe thank you, I know there are many others in our position too and I'm luckily that I do already have two children and so does my partner it would've just been so perfect for us to have one of our own. Plus with just turning 42 I'm really worried that it's just too late for us now. Hope you're ok

Sydney1986x · 09/04/2021 21:46

I’m around 8DPO, my ovulation sticks weren’t playing ball this month and had strong lines on both 15 and 17.. AF will be due next Thursday. No real signs apart from tearfulness but I think that’s due to everything going on at the moment on top of TTC. @SlothMamaToBe I feel your pain and heartache, it is a terribly hard and isolating experience TTC. My best friend announced her pregnancy last week.. I feel numb. I can’t take any more announcements in my personal life it is killing me 💔. Sending you a virtual hug and hoping AF stays well away from you both x

PurpleUnicorn01 · 09/04/2021 22:31

I know what you mean.

The wait is hard. I only managed to use it once and I'm pretty sure i ovulated early and missed the day. So not holding out any hope.

Fingers crossed for you all

PurpleUnicorn01 · 13/04/2021 11:57

Hi guys, i am so anxious right now. Im about 10dpo but I've had some slight spotting the last 3 days.

Sydney1986x · 13/04/2021 14:27

AF arrived this morning with a vengeance..!

@PurpleUnicorn01 spotting is usually a positive sign.. what colour is the spotting? If it’s pinkish that’s good and could be BFP coming

PurpleUnicorn01 · 13/04/2021 15:23

Thank you. Just a waiting game. Pinkish red but it only happens in the morning. Very odd

PurpleUnicorn01 · 13/04/2021 15:27

@Sydney1986x im gutted AF arrived for you. Im not getting my hopes up too much.

suzy124 · 13/04/2021 16:20

Hi girls,

Hope you don't mind me jumping in, I'm so glad I found a thread on this! I'm in my 2nd cycle of using the fertilily, not sure if I'm using it right either I just poke it up as far as I can and then pop back with the stem. Only the little ball pokes out so I'm hoping this is far enough. I've never been able to locate my cervix tbh I don't know where the hell that thing is!

Do you think it's important to keep lying down after insertion? I lie with my hips propped up for an hour and then insert cup for 1 hr while I go about my business. I figure there's no point putting it in straightaway if I'm lying still anyway, but want to give them more time up there after I get up. Just for info we can't do dtd 'normally', so am syringing the goods in. Currently in my 2ww and not very hopeful

Also does anyone get any pain after using? I try to keep it in for the full hour but around 45mins it starts to mildly ache up there

Sydney1986x · 13/04/2021 20:39

Good luck @PurpleUnicorn01 keep us updated! Hope it’s a BFP for you!

@suzy124 welcome and of course you can join. I don’t tend to lay down afterwards as the ferti-lily is meant to help keep the sperm in the right direction. I tend to DTD at night then lay down for bed though.

I do sometimes feel sore after use. You may also want to join some of us in the SI thread.. we use SI and traditional, as it helps ease pressure off my partner! Xx

suzy124 · 13/04/2021 21:04

@Sydney1986x thanks for your reply :) Does that mean you go to sleep with the cup in? Or you only use it when you won't be lying down after?

I'd love to join that thread could you send me the link? I started one of my own re SI because I am just feeling so alone in doing it that way so would love to hear how others are getting on. We are not able to dtd at all ttc, it's kinda a relief to know others actually choose to do this!

PurpleUnicorn01 · 13/04/2021 21:17

Just did a test was BFN but it could be too early to tell yet. Im not hopeful

Sydney1986x · 13/04/2021 21:45

@suzy124 yes I do go to sleep with it in, it’s safe to do and prob do that 1-2 of the nights but also think you can leave in as little as 20
Mins and carry on with your day. I’ve just tagged you in the thread I hope I’ve done it right...

@PurpleUnicorn01 might be too early, if AF doesn’t show then test again. It’s so hard In the 2WW.. it feels like a lifetime doesn’t it?

PurpleUnicorn01 · 13/04/2021 21:49

@Sydney1986x going to give it a few days. It does feel like a lifetime.

How are u feeling?

Marvellouslymadmum · 13/04/2021 22:01

@PurpleUnicorn01 that sounds promising! May just be too early for the test 🤞🏻

@suzy124 I can't find my cervix either the elusive little sneak so I do the same as you! I usually lay for about 10-15 mins then put the fertilily in amd go about my business but don't get any ache, I once fell asleep after dtd and woke up a while later, went to put it in and it wouldn't go - super painful! So may be that you're leaving it a little long before putting it in?

suzy124 · 13/04/2021 22:13

@Sydney1986x thank you, I look forward to reading that thread tomorrow or tonight if I can't sleep! I really didn't think it was safe to leave in longer than 1 hr as per instructions, but then I don't see how's it's any different to leaving in a menstural cup overnight. Perhaps it worth a try but then a menstural cup made me ache during the night when I used to try that

@Marvellouslymadmum haha I know right! I honestly wish I could have a lesson with the doctor or something as I've done all the googling and still can't find it. As for the pain it's only really after it's been in for about 45mins I start to ache, not so much the putting in (although it's sometimes tricky!). I think I'm just super sensitive or something. How long do you leave it in for?

@PurpleUnicorn01 been reading the thread, fingers crossed for you!
