The Ferti-Lily

Hey,

So... this is month 24 of TTC and I've just invested in a ferti lily! 😂 it's last resort before turning to science!

So long story short, I have 2 DC from a previous relationship. I have been trying for 2 years for another as my new partner doesn't have any and obviously I would love another one. I have had all tests etc and I have been diagnosed with a blood disorder which hopefully will be sorted with Asprin. I have had 2 chemical pregnancies along the way.

DP has low mobility hence trying the ferti lily!

So my question is.. has anyone else been using this?

I have one which I have used a couple of times. I found it tricky to get in correctly though and when I pulled it out to try and rearrange it literally "sucked" everything out Grin

Marvellouslymadmum · 27/02/2021 15:02

Hi all, I've used a ferti-lily on occasion before but trying to use it every time this month, it's nit worked for us so far but I'm having tests at the moment to find if I'm even ovulating! Good luck all 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻

MummyT13 · 27/02/2021 15:27

@jazzabella Maybe if you know someone with a fit bit then you cagoule ask to borrow it and see if it works for you 😊

@truetuesdays I hate to say it but it really is a case of needing to master the skill of putting it in and taking it out. I did find it easier if it had been put in hot water recently as it made it a bit more flexible

@marvellouslymadmum is this your first that you’re TTC? Have you had any tests so far? How long have you been TTC now?

@MummyT13 hi, no I have two teenagers, so does my partner but we have none together so are ttc our first together, we've been ttc for almost 3 years but we're just taking it casually for a while, just no contraception etc but have been tracking etc more recently. I gave blood tests booked on 9th March for progesterone oestrogen Lh and fsh then I'm looking at booking in a scan to check my follicles, ovaries etc too

Jazzabella · 27/02/2021 16:41

I have all the fitbits lol. I get obsessive with them and while I've been homeschooling my elder children I wasn't able to be as active as I wanted so gave them a break for a long while. Just got a static smiley on a Clearblue opk and a huge positive on a cheapie too so know I'll ovulate very soon. May get it out and wear though to see if I get a drop at all before af if she comes!! Thanks!

Used the firtil-lily for first time! It was fine putting in and not uncomfortable at all - only thing was that I really struggled to push it all way up to the cervix , so not sure if it was in place properly. I asked DP to help me but he was really weirded out by it 🙄! 🙏🤞 that it does the trick this time round!!

Marvellouslymadmum · 28/02/2021 12:25

@SlothMamaToBe I have no idea if I've ever got mine in the right place but they do say it'll still help as the little guys are still further up and can't get back down 😂

MummyT13 · 28/02/2021 19:59

@Jazzabella That's good news! You'll be into the painful TWW soon. Do you track your cycles with an app?

@SlothMamaToBe as long as you only have a tiny bit hanging out (the little ball) then you should be all good. Maybe your cervix was a bit tilted? 🤔 mine gets like that occasionally where I'm like... I had it yesterday but I've lost it today 😆 like it just pops out for a cuppa! X

SlothMamaToBe · 28/02/2021 20:39

@MummyT13 😂 yeah mine def does a disappearing act! Although it’s meant to be high when you’re ovulating any way doesn’t it?

MummyT13 · 28/02/2021 21:14

During ovulation, the cervix rises to a higher level in the vagina. It will be lower in the vagina around the time of menstruation. If you've conceived, the cervix will remain in a higher position.

It is often completely normal if you cannot reach or feel the cervix. It probably means that it has moved to a high position and you should consider yourself at your most fertile. If you often have difficulty reaching your cervix, you may be able to reach it using a different position.

☝🏻☝🏻☝🏻 I live on google 🤣😂🤣 x

@MummyT13 in the tww here, I think! My ov is all over the place from my bbt so think it's over and I'm in the tww but still dtd just Incase and used the ferti-lily almost every time 🤞🏻 how about you?

SlothMamaToBe · 06/03/2021 08:01

@MummyT13

I’m also in 2ww - around 5dpo I think ... I used it twice but then couldn’t be bothered the other times ... I’m not sure we dtd enough this cycle but there is still hope I suppose 🤞. How are you getting on? Hope everyone doing ok!

Kitekat81 · 06/03/2021 10:57

@MummyT13 I'm 11dpo, AF due on Monday. Didn't manage to use the ferti-lily this cycle, but if we aren't lucky this time I'm planning to use it next cycle. Hoping to hear some good news from those of you who've used it this cycle! 😄🤞

MummyT13 · 07/03/2021 15:28

@Marvellouslymadmum @SlothMamaToBe @Kitekat81

I'm also currently in the TWW and I think about 10dpo today but I feel extremely hormonal and my bbs hurt like AF is coming. With any other pregnancy my bbs don't hurt at all until AF x

I'm a bit late to the party but.... I got my BFP this morning. First cycle trying ferti lily after almost a year trying. Might be a coincidence but I'm so happy after so many months of blank tests!

Best of luck to all of you in TWW Smile

Thank you so much ladies 💕💕

Sydney1986x · 09/03/2021 21:47

Hi all, May I join? I've been using the Ferti- lily for the last 2 cycles and this month too. Great to hear you got your BFP @Slomi this month! Anything else you did differently this time or tips? x

Slomi · 09/03/2021 22:17

@Sydney1986x Thank you so much and best of luck for your upcoming cycle, I hope it's successful🤞. It was all I used this cycle, just DTD and ferti-lily in for 45 mins while I lay down. I'd tried loads of other things, conceive plus etc, previously and they never worked for me. The only tip I have for the ferti-lily is I tried to get it to body temp before putting it in, just held it for a bit, I was paranoid if it was cold it would kill off the swimmers. Not sure if that's what worked but there you go Blush
