I am going to pick up dd1 from school. Will take lots of deep breaths and again be very gratefull for my 2 beautiful dds.

OOOO I am so wanting to do something about this now. Maybe this could be my new job.
Ronshar the MC avenger.

Can I have a special cape or pants outside my jeans. (Need Big Pants)

sweetkitty · 19/11/2007 15:24

Reading some of the lack of care stories on here has made me very and

lissie - I cannot believe your Doctor refused to take you seriously you have had 6 mcs, how many more does he want you to have ffs, he obviously is out of his depth and not read up on current developments. I would complain and take it further

herby - cannot believe your story, but I think you are right it is very much a conveyor belt mentality, even having a baby is, it's in delivered, back out in as short a time as possible not seeing the same person twice

TJuice · 19/11/2007 15:25

haha! you crack me up, ronshar. i will join your crew of MC avengers (new thread title - perchance?)

i feel quite strongly about this too. although i have to admit that my care was inpeccable. that's what we pay half our salary for here in denmark - good healthcare - and they actually deliver it.
tax rates are relatively high in the uk and the healthcare system is "piecemeal" at best. its got to be worth medical insurance at this point (i have no idea what premiums are though and probably pregnancy isn't covered if its like my company's private insurance here)

OracleInaCoracle · 19/11/2007 15:28

thank you all. i know it sounds daft but im hoping that the scan will show a bean. i know its unlikely but i cant help it. love the mc avenger theme!

Oh yes, sorry Lissie. I did mean to say that if he is referring you for a scan so early then he might think there is still a glimmer of hope!
Got a bit carried away with the whole super hero thing

OracleInaCoracle · 19/11/2007 15:46

Popping in to see how Lissie's doing - and sorry to hear you've had such crap treatment. What is it with some of the medical proffesion and their inability to empathise and realise we're not all robots ?

Gilly - hello ! Nice to see you. Sorry you've not been around. I too frequently take breaks whilst wondering when it will be my turn.

LOL at Ronshar and your big pants - Go Ronshar, Go Ronshar,

Am CD12 so getting near the zone - although am later rather than earlier and am feeling like pants with a chest infection so not sure we're going to manage much this month. Am sure we'll give it a bit of a go as can't let a month go and not but am not holding out much hope.

ronshar · 19/11/2007 16:33

I have just been loking at the MC association web site and I am going to become a member and start kicking ass.

Gilly and Wheely. I know exactly what you mean about wanting a break. Sometimes it is so hard to be nice and join in the conversation. I have found that this thread has dragged me through this nightmare and I feel a little responsible to everyone else. I kinda want to help everyone else. I guess it is the nurse in me desparate to get out and back to work.

Has anybody seen Winemakesmummyclever?? I know she went to Italy in the summer but did she ever come home???

Ronshar Not sure how it sounded in your head, but the need big pants comment i heard in a very bridget jones type of voice . I'll join your team of avengers too, but i need big pants tooooooo.

Wheelybug · 19/11/2007 17:19

Changing the subject to something frivilous if I may - ALBS - Did you get your outfit sorted for that wedding ?

cricri · 19/11/2007 17:31

Hi all,
I've been keeping an eye on the thread all afternoon but haven't had time to post (work deadlines!).
Lissie - so for you at your doctor's attitude!
Also very and at all the mc stories I've been reading. Ronshar I'm with you on the big pants and I will look into how to join the MC Association.
I have also just realised after reading posts from Lcy and Starlight that I was tested for chlamydia without my permission too when the dr confirmed my mc - didn't think to query it at the time as I had other things on my mind and just thought it was standard procedure. I feel a letter to the PCT coming on!
Nobody should have to put up with the sort of treatment some of us have had in this day and age and in what is supposedly one of the richest countries in the world.

ronshar · 19/11/2007 17:32

Frivilous is always needed on such an angry afternoon.

Jules can I ask what your impression of MC association is? Are they organised, as I am surprised that I have never heard of them even having worked in NHS for years. Also I wasnt given anything in the way of literature by my GP or hospital either time of my mcs!

alittlebitshy · 19/11/2007 17:34

wheely yup - i got that Monsoon dress you suggested

got a red pashmina type thing

and some not tooo high shoes cos i was wobbly when trying on, so attemptomg to wear all eve would be a disaster.

and this afternoon just found a bag in primark with simalr beady bits to the dress!!!!

dress is fairly flattering to sticky outy tummies. I swear i look pregnnat even though i'm not.

OOH - I feel all Trinny and Susannah . I think we're similar shapes/heights and thats the sort of thing which looks best on me. I too am frequently scared someone is going to ask me 'when is it due'- I will be joining the (and attending) once I can breathe again.
