@Canadadarling oh I 100% agree with you! Before my MC I had been off the pill for 4 months not trying specifically in FW and nothing - on the 5th month we DTD day before positive OPK and day of and got a BFP! Sadly it has now been 8 cycles of totally focusing on FW (we had a few months off TTC after the MC) and nothing is happening - makes me think that luck must have a lot to do with it also! All we can do is keep trying... fingers crossed 🍀 I’m 2-3 DPO today and feeling quite resigned to getting another BFN even though we DTD every other day in FW (plus day before and first day of positive OPK). I’m giving it until July and then we will be seeking fertility treatment...

SLCxxx · 06/05/2021 10:36

@SamBass I when I had my MMC I bled for a week then stopped for a week, then I started bleeding really bad again, when they scanned me they couldn’t see anything but they gave me medication and I started passing (sorry TMI) black debris. That stopped after another week, then for about a month I would bleed after intercourse for about 30mins which stopped once I had my first real period at about 8wks post MMC. They never done any bloods though, didn’t really seem to want to know tbf. I hope this all resolved for you soon 🤞🏻

@Canadadarling glad you managed to have the chat and make him understand, men can be clueless sometimes. My OH knows I’m in my fertile window and still said “can I have a night off?” I was like ffs WHAT?? Lol

@bez91 fingers crossed for you this month if it’s your last one tracking, lol, pull out all the stops! I’m CD14 (LH rising but not yet peak), have started using a fertile-lily which I line with preseed (another new introduction this month), I’m wearing socks, taking all the supplements under the sun and am considering trying the cough medicine 🤔😂

SamBass · 06/05/2021 10:45

@SLCxxx thank you for reply its strangely comforting knowing I'm not alone in this frustrating period. Im glad you got your first cycle and return to normal eventually. My GP wanted to do bloods to see why I hadn't had AF any why i was still showing faint positives....

I might try push for a scan if next weeks bloods are no different

SLCxxx · 06/05/2021 11:34

@SamBass are the tests still positive? Mine took about 6weeks to go negative I think. I know what you mean, it’s nice to find reassurance that we are not alone in these things, for me I don’t have anyone who has been through this so if I say anything then ppl either change the subject or get worried that there’s seriously something wrong.. which does not help 🤦🏼‍♀️

SamBass · 06/05/2021 11:40

@SLCxxx I'll attach my tests for you to see and to me they are a faint positive...
yes i knows exactly what you mean, I honestly stop telling people what is going on/I'm experiencing because people around me just don't get it and think I'm just moaning but my god its so mentally difficult 😞
My best friend is pregnant and her due date would have been 1 week after mine so i find it really hard to confide in her 😥

SamBass · 06/05/2021 11:41

@SLCxxx sorry forgot to attach ha

justwant2beamum · 06/05/2021 12:06

Sorry to hear @SamBass glad docs listening and investigating. Have they/will they check for retained product? Xx

SamBass · 06/05/2021 12:38

@justwant2beamum literally no checks in the 8 weeks since surgery other than bloods on the 26th I'm back on Monday for second set of bloods... if it was retained products wouldn't i be experiencing bleeding?

SLCxxx · 06/05/2021 15:50

@SamBass still looks positive to me, did you go to EPAU when you had the positives a few weeks ago? If not uou could always go to them and say you are getting positive tests and occasional bleeding. They will likely want to scan to ensure you don’t have an ectopic etc x

gizmo167 · 06/05/2021 15:58

@SamBass aw hun been thinking about you!! Hope you get some answers soon, it is showing a faint positive so theres obviously something going on, keep us posted x

SamBass · 06/05/2021 16:11

@SLCxxx i rang EAPU when i got the faint positives and they just said to speak with my GP for bloods. The pregnancy test have not got any darker so it can't be a new pregnancy 🤷🏽‍♀️

@gizmo167 my head has been all over so took some time out but now I'm just frustrated and angry with still being in limbo

bez91 · 06/05/2021 17:50

@Loulou237 thank you, it's strange as negative on IC OPK this afternoon 🤦🏼‍♀️ have had ov pain though 🤷‍♀️

@Canadadarling glad you managed to
Talk to DH, it does feel better out in the open although sometimes I feel we go round in circles every month. Hopefully you can cover all bases.

@SLCxxx snap 😂... talk to me about cough medicine?

@SamBass When I had my MMC I was still getting a positive about 4 weeks later on a FRER, EPU saw me and before the scan asked for a urine sample. They stated negative test. The FRERs are a lot more sensitive than what they use there,I just stopped testing after that because it was doing my head in. Have you tried with some cheapo ones? I'd push with EPU, if they managed the procedure that's really shit of them to pass the book to your GP

OP posts:
SamBass · 06/05/2021 18:02

@bez91 yeah I thought that about the sensitivity of tests but its the no AF 8 weeks later and the bleeding after intercourse and discharge thats making me worry slightly.

bez91 · 06/05/2021 18:07

@SamBass I was lucky my EPU were really good on both occasions. Definitely push it with them, can you call back and hopefully speak to someone different? Say GP recommended you came back because of the pain to check that nothing relating to the procedure is causing the bleeding. It's not fair to leave you in limbo

Marvellouslymadmum · 06/05/2021 18:57

@Canadadarling I totally understand! I had exactly the same problem with my oh when he's not feeling great (nothing to stop us dtd) I get very cross as he says he wants this too but then doesn't dtd when we need to 🤦🏼‍♀️ great that you spoke to him, it never occurred to me that he wouldn't actually realise the fw was small!! Since it took him 2 years to conceive his 14.5yo with his ex I just assumed but now you say that, maybe he has absolutely no idea 🤷🏼‍♀️ I'll have to have a little chat with him haha

@SamBass so strange that you're still getting positives, hope you get some answers soon

@SLCxxx cough medicine? Not heard of that one and I'm doing all the rest 😂😂

SamBass · 06/05/2021 19:42

@bez91 im gonna say how my bloods go next week then perhaps call EPU and push for a scan as i'll be approaching 9 weeks with no AF by then

@Marvellouslymadmum i know its odd isn't it! I just want answers now 😞

Marvellouslymadmum · 06/05/2021 20:02

@SamBass I bet you do! Hopefully someone will be able to help you

SLCxxx · 06/05/2021 20:11

@bez91 @Marvellouslymadmum on another group a lovely ladie who said she got pregnant on the month that she used the ferti-lily, preseed, socks to keep her feet warm, legs up in the air (ferti-lily in place), vitamins and drank cough medicine in the FW to unblock the mucous in the cervix.. when I thought about it I realised I got pregnant the day after my smear test 🤔 so the mucous thing might be worth giving a go as I can’t perform a DIY smear 🤣🤣.. but hey, I’m willing to give it all a go!xx

SLCxxx · 06/05/2021 20:18

@SamBass how bloody frustrating! If the bloods on Monday don’t shed any light then I would request (or demand since it is tax payers money) an urgent gynae scan, but if the pregnancy tests are still positive then really EPAU should be looking for answers. If you still have pregnancy hormones then your cervix will be very vascular and that would explain your/our spotting after intercourse. 🤞🏻 Your levels have dropped on Monday and AF visits by next weekend

Marvellouslymadmum · 06/05/2021 20:34

@SLCxxx oh how interesting! I've got to book a smear for after af shows!!

SLCxxx · 06/05/2021 20:45

@Marvellouslymadmum try to line it up close to ovulation 🤣🤣

Marvellouslymadmum · 06/05/2021 20:55

@SLCxxx gotcha 😂 you never know!

Canadadarling · 06/05/2021 21:14

@Marvellouslymadmum I think men are just a bit clueless tbh and don't realise that you can't have sex twice a month when you feel like it and expect to get pregnant. It's like, I'm peeing on sticks every day, taking multiple vitamins & changing my diet/ lifestyle.. all you have to do is sleep with me! Lol

Well I've noticed my ewcm started today so I've bought some new pjs and lingerie bc I don't want to miss this 🤣 fingers crossed it works🤞🏻

SamBass · 06/05/2021 21:29

@SLCxxx thank you for explaining the hormones/ cervix bit as I didn't realise that can be a cause of the bleeding/spotting after intercourse. Yeah i think i will be requesting a scan if blood test don't give it me any clarification. Im just not the best at being stern/demanding I usually just roll over and accept things lol 😂

Marvellouslymadmum · 06/05/2021 21:44

@Canadadarling you're absolutely right men are totally clueless as to what we are changing every month ttc and what we are going through I know they're going through their own little journeys but it's of them same, I fear my oh would think I was crazy if I told him everything 😂 hope the pjs and lingerie do the trick!
