@greenfrogs1 hi and welcome! It's an interesting one and a lot of us here have actually had our first jab & not ACTIVELY stopped TTC. I'm doing ivf and I had my first one a couple of weeks ago & im going to ask the question about how soon we can start after my second jab when I next speak to my clinic (hopefully next few days) as my jab was after my last cycle of ivf so they might want to wait. But I'm not using protection in the mean time as I know it's only because the body of research isn't there to say what WOULD happen. So it's all to cover their backs really. Other ppl on the thread can give their thoughts but if you are young & healthy & only just started trying then maybe leave it. For ppl who have been trying a while it's more of a concern to stop IYSWIM. I think it's just ass covering like @DKDK123 says.

@Juno231 @clolo bloods were taken for AMH 2 weeks ago tomorrow they said 2 weeks at least for results but I think they will speak to consultants first. I don't know whether to try chase tomorrow or Friday

@lucyrp I've never got the lemon and sugar, we used to get orange juice and sugar but never lemon and sugar but apparently my family were weird for this??

@crazydoglady123 the only thing that's worked for me with preg constipation is pure orange juice by the bucket load and loads of veg!!! I literally feel your pain it is horrible. Might be worth seeing if you can get some otc lactulose it tastes vile but does work xx

Thanks @Minster2012 I had been drinking prune juice but felt better this week so poured away what's left 😩 Thank you @Kirky658 I'm trying to see if I can speak to a doctor atm.

@paintfairy these are similar to what we used to use but was prob about 15 years ago so I'm sure they're more modernised now 😂

@Crazydoglady123 I use a warm water enema in those situations - but if you don't have that at home I'd go to a pharmacy and get something like microlax or fleet (it's usually over the counter). Basically go for something that goes up the pooper rather than taken orally like dulcosoft.

Why are doctors no help 😩 Sit on hold for 15 mins to be told no appointments today...call back tomorrow.

@Crazydoglady123 oh darling I feel your pain! You might need to take two different types of laxative if it is that bad, something to get it to suck up some water and also something to help the gut get moving. Honestly if it is that bad they might suggest an enema or suppository for hopefully more instant relief. definitely try and speak to your doctors but actually the pharmacist may be able to help you over the counter ! Xx

Well I'm going to have to eat my words... video appointment with consultant this mornings and he was actually really nice! His hair still looks like it was brushed with a cat but hey ho! I'm getting a scan a week today and we'll then have a look at prospective dates for my ELCS so at least I'm not having to battle him on that one this time 🙌🏻 celebrating with a takeaway caramel latte 🤤

@Meredithgrey1 Im sort of similar, when pregnant with dd I was crawling into bed by 6.30pm so greys went on until I fell asleep, remember crying ALOT (bloody hormones) so I'm unsure of how great an idea doing it again is 😂

@Minster2012 much more fun that way.... be boring if they were placid and well behaved all the time 😂 my ex sil had a wee boy who was an actual dream child would sit quietly and colour without doing the walls or anything destructive... she used to look down her nose at me as dd was never particularly quiet and was generally always into something 🙈 her second came along as a no holds barred, million mile an hour rascal who liked to bite 😂

@larrythelizard 😂😂 at the parasite... good description there since I'm pretty sure there are tropical parasites that don't actually make you feel quite as grotty as 1st trimester does!

@Franklydear definitely not crazy my lovely, 95% of my work (speech and language) is with autistic children, my nephew has autism and that's what pushed me to focus on asd. It's his birthday today and the way he views the world is just the best thing, I adore him, he was my first nephew so I have such a soft spot for him. He's recently become a big brother himself. He's so practical and matter of fact. "Dad, she smells funny, I do not like it, you need to fix it", he tried to get her to play with trains (his passion) as a tiny baby "I don't think this is working well". His grandad is his neighbour so when the baby is fussing/crying and he's trying to do something he just goes through the gate between gardens and heads into grandads and announces "grandad I just need 5 minutes peace and quiet" 💙 like I said I adore him!

@Juno231 @Franklydear my brother is the golden boy, he hasn't lived at home since 16 as he works in the sticks and house comes with his job but for the last 12 years my mum goes to his at least once a month to clean, do shopping and batch cook for him. In between he takes his washing to her. She has access to his bank and arranges payment of all his bills, his wage slips, bank statements, everything goes to her address. He doesn't know how to insure or tax his car, how to pay a tv license, arrange an mot, absolutely nothing 🤯 he'll be 30 in just over a year!

@Crazydoglady123 welcome to join me in the "we can't poop" seats! Severe constipation for about 6 weeks now 😭 I've put on 9lbs but I'm convinced most is just unpooped poop 🙈 lactulose is gross but it works, currently on 4 sachets a day of laxido, hope you get through to dr soon. It actually makes you miserable!

@gem176 so glad the appt went well lovely! I have napped for 2 hours and still feel like a zombie! Genuinely considering calling in sick to work tomorrow, but I'm at home, so wondering if I just do the bare minimum as it's only a 3 day week!

@Gem176 omg that takes the biscuit. I hope no woman marries him whilst he's still halfway up your mother's fanjo! I'm pushing to get my brother to move out in the next year (he's insisting on buying a place so is saving for a deposit) but if he doesn't then this could be him in the near future!
