@larrythelizard a temp rise above your baseline happens after you've ovulated so you can use that to confirm ovulation has occurred so long as it continues to stay higher in the days after and not a one off fluke.

@kirky658 do they not do priority post boxes where you are for the covid sampling? We took part in it but didn't have to wait in for a courier as long as we posted it in one of the designated priority post boxes before 4pm the day we did it. It was far more handy than waiting in for someone.

Today is my day off work and I need to spend it doing work for a college course I stupidly signed up for in a moment of insanity. As if looking after a 3 year old, while working in the middle of a pandemic and ttc weren't all stressful enough some idiotic part of my brain decided hey let's add a college course into the pressure mix for all that 'free time' you have on your hands 🤦‍♀️🙄

@Minster2012 @DKDK123 so I've found the last couple of times if i do a few kegels for a few minutes after DHs finished it seems to do the trick 😂 might be a fluke

@Vil10 @minster2012 what's the lube recommendation? We don't use it a lot but running out of the backup stuff

@DJmum83 yayyy on the 1-2 weeks. Workmen can be such b*stards. They better get it sorted for you 🤬 I work in contract management for repairs and maintenance and I love having workmen round, if they're being tits or ask if DH is about (obviously they can't talk to me, I know nothing because I'm a woman) I just intimidate them by talking technically, then saying I think it needs this, this and this etc - it's quite empowering sometimes making sexist men look 2inches tall 😂

The second day of peak here, will try to squeeze some DTD in. Both DH and I are coming down with some sort of bug/cold (doesn’t feel like COVID – we both had it), tons of runny nose, so even with all my imagination, I could not come up with a way to make ANYTHING look sexy. So we skipped the peak day 1. Hoping we’ll be covered though as we did it the day before, and planning on today.

@bez91 I've used preseed & really liked it as a "normal lube" too, and @Vil10 is using conceive plus. I'm a "pretty dry" lady so tend need lube full stop then as we've been having to use condoms it's been kind of necessary. Just bloody run out & I don't have a DH who magically appears with some 🙄what are kegels???

Hi ladies! Had 4 pages to catch up on this morning so am a bit overwhelmed and sorry if I've missed anyone/anything.

@Kirky658 did you ask me about hsg vs hycosy? They do the same thing and have the same accuracy rates apparently - HSG is the more outdated mode though as it exposes you to xrays whereas a hycosy is via ultrasound. I do think some docs still argue an HSG is more thorough than a hycosy though - god knows. That was one of the things I didn't dare ask yesterday @Justanothercyster i.e. why I'm getting an HSG instead of hycosy - but ultimately I'm just happy I'm getting one of them so soon.

I started bleeding this morning - not sure if it's full blown AF yet. I think I'll call today to schedule the HSG in as otherwise I'd have to wait until Monday to do it if AF shows up properly tomorrow.

@Gensola ah yes just like the internet cheapie ones that are like OPK strips, you can pee in the pot then dip the end in (make sure you dip the right end in if it's anything like the one I get given it's not that obvious!) it doesn't have to be dripped over to make it easier, it's not over hun they give you a date for a reason we know that, and today isn't it, but I've done the exact same thing in your position & know the feeling. It's f ing shit, lots of hugs. Have you told your OH? Do you have Frosties? 😘

@juno231 now I know! I had a really bad reaction to my HSG last year, it made me so sick. Turns out the dye they used, they forgot to tell me I was meant to stop taking my amitryptyline I was on for chronic pain a few days before as they could interact....

@Kirky658 ha why am I not surprised! I'm personally looking forward to the rectal antibiotics I am supposed to take for it - already told OH he can administer it and he said he'd go get the broom...

Hey ladies. Just started my tww (I think 🤣🤣) listened to my body as I was having some twinges which I assumed was ovulation... I'm moving in 2 weeks so I'm going to focus on that for now. I'm hoping that once I'm settled in my new place we will finally conceive xxx
