Hi Hattie,

That's so exciting and a great age gap with your little one! How has lockdown life with a 10month old been treating you?

We're currently TTC our first and I'm 2PO according to Flo & Fitbit, although wondering whether I ovulated earlier as feeling a bit rubbish! But will wait a while before testing because it's no doubt my brain playing tricks on me. xx

Hey!! It's definitely been challenging without the family support haha, but we're in a good routine ☺️

Oh how wonderful!!! 🤞🤞🤞 Worst thing about trying the symptom spotting haha, I swear your brain just makes it all up lol. I was super lucky with my first, as we started trying and I was pregnant the month after!! (I'd had two previous miscarriages in a different relationship) so blessed!!

Sending you baby dust ✨ xx

Hi, I hope you don't mind me joining in too. I have a 5 year old DS, and we have been TTC on and off for about 2 years, had a long break because of the pandemic and this will be the 3rd month of TTC again. When I say on and off, its been a sort of casual "if it happens, it happens" approach, I was on the depo before then and I think that's made it all harder. Its so frustrating, I've ordered some Ovulation Tests (never used them before) and after 2 years of reading these forums, I'm now finding the courage to join in 😁

Hey, welcome ☺️ Hopefully the ovulation tests will do the trick, they definitely helped me last time ❤️ I've got some in too but I'm not sure when to start doing them as I only had my implant removed today. Should I wait until after I get my period, or just start right away 🤷🏼‍♀️ x

I think I'd be tempted to test straight away🙈 you never know, you could ovulate straight away and get a BFP this month 🤞😁 Im on CD1 (still getting used to these acronyms) so I dont even know when you start testing- I'm sure they'll be in the instructions 🤣 Do you use any apps that you think are useful?

HattieJJ88 · 29/01/2021 22:43

That was my thinking haha. Yeah Sod it... I'll start right away lol. Do if I were you I'd just start testing like a couple of days after your period finished. As ovulation is technically 14 days after your period starts. But you can ovulation sooner or later. I'd also recommend doing one in the morning and one in the evening and then when you see them getting darker maybe step it up to 3 times a day. At least that's what I did last time. And absolutely my favourites were (which I've also reinstalled today ☺️) Fertility Friend and Premom x

I'd do the same, I wouldn't be able to help myself. Thank you Smile have just downloaded it! Its all exciting and nerve wreking at the same time isn't it. I didn't know that I'd have to test more than once a day, thank you for the tips 😊

Natta1 · 02/02/2021 15:06

@HattieJJ88 sorry for the late reply! Glad to hear you've managed to get into a good routine though, I'm sure that helps massively :)

Aww well sending you lots of baby dust too! Seeing your other messages I'd say wait until your first period (of course you can just have fun trying until then) but I think you have to have your first withdrawal bleed to track ovulation correctly, I could be wrong though :)

Natta1 · 02/02/2021 15:08

@Dinomama21 I think you're meant to start testing anywhere between 10-14 days into your cycle, as that's supposedly when ovulation occurs, but then again I guess it depends on length of cycle.

We're not bothering with it for the first couple of cycles, just baby dancing every second day! I know if I start with ovulation test strips so early in our TTC journey, I'll fall down a rabbit hole with it all haha x

missrose0110 · 02/02/2021 15:20

Hi everyone. We have a 16 month old & We're starting ttc baby #2 this month 🤞

Glad to have found a group to symptom spot with haha.

Dinomama21 · 02/02/2021 15:32

@Natta1 Thank you! So jealous- We've moved back into my parents house for a couple of months as we're buying a house so should be moving out hopefully the end of Feb, which makes BD harder 🙈 But I might try with the OPK and tracking just to get the hang of it!

@missrose0110 hi! Sending you lots of baby dust!

I'm on CD5, what about everyone else?

dippyegg32 · 02/02/2021 16:15

Cd11 here 👋 only half trying though, what will be, will be. I have two daughters and had a miscarriage in December.

Markygirl1995 · 02/02/2021 18:01

Hello everyone! I am back! After having a couple months off were back to trying. How is everyone doing xx

Neom87 · 02/02/2021 18:47

Hello everyone! I'm right at the beginning! Stopped taking the pill last Monday 25th actwr being on it for 16 years (!!!) and had a small withdrawal bleed 28th & 29th. Now feel like I'm in a limbo period until I have my first proper period. Really want to know what my body is doing so bought some OPKs and did one yesterday just to see if ovulation was anywhere near and it was totally blank 😅 May just check again in a few days to see if anything has started to wake up!

Markygirl1995 · 02/02/2021 19:29

@Neom87 hey welcome, not in the same boat as you but I tend to do an opk everyday and just started to take my temperature every morning when waking up to see if I can see what's going on. All exciting though!!

Dinomama21 · 02/02/2021 19:47

@dippyegg32 so sorry about you MC Flowers sending lots of baby dust!

@Markygirl1995 Hia! We had a break from TTC after the pandemic came about and now in #3 of trying again. How long have you been TTC before your break? If you don't mind me asking 😊

@Neom87 I'm sure it will regulate soon 😁 and hopefully the OPKs will help, this will be my first months of using them aswell

Markygirl1995 · 02/02/2021 20:04

@Dinomama21 hiya nice to meet you, so this will be month 2 of trying. Tried november dec and break jan now were here 1st jinth starting again. But worried this time as its baby 2 I've gained weight managed to lose over 2 stone to increase chances but my cycle lengths are different each month so its 28 days one month next 33

Hayesdays · 02/02/2021 20:10

Hello!
TTC baby no2! We have a 15 month old and have decided to stop putting life on hold and just go for it! I’m on cycle day 21 and should find out if we’ve been successful on Valentine’s Day...!

Good luck everyone xxx

missrose0110 · 02/02/2021 20:35

@Hayesdays we're the same! We have a 15 month old and have decided to stop putting life on hold and just go for it too! Would be a nice 2 year age gap :)

Sending baby dust your way

Dinomama21 · 02/02/2021 20:42

@Markygirl1995 I'm still loosing my baby weight and DS is 5! I was doing Slimming World before Christmas and they do say if you loose 10% of body fat your fertility increases, so fingers crossed 🤞 I lost 2 stone before Christmas put I've definitely but half of that back on!

We've been on and off trying for about 2 years, and kept having breaks because it didn't seem like the right time, always weddings, holiday, a Pandemic coming up etc... I suppose its never the right time, but I love that @Hayesdays, need to stop putting life on hold. Let 2021 be the year ladies Smile

yellowspot · 02/02/2021 20:43

Hey!! Trying for #2 ... first is coming up for 17 months old. We'd out trying on hold due to the pandemic but have decided to just go for it. 2dpo and remembering just how nerve wracking the wait can be!

Markygirl1995 · 02/02/2021 20:46

@Dinomama21 glad to know I'm not the only one trying to shift baby fat. My ds is 2 now when he was born he was 10lb 8 so now my tummy is literally pancaked 🤣 very true cant put life on hold!! Which is what we were going to do because of the pandemic but it's going to be around for a while! Had the vaccine now so baby 2 should cook nicely now x

Fraanne · 02/02/2021 20:49

Hey! Thought I would join this post :) we are ttc baby no1! Eeek! We have been trying for 11 months now with 0 luck! But I have long cycles so trying to pinpoint ovulation is so difficult! (Last cycle was 90 days!) but yesterday it looks as if I have ovulated so fingers and toes crossed!

Hayesdays · 02/02/2021 20:58

Yay! Glad we’re not the only ones ‘just going for it’. @missrose0110 @Dinomama21 @Markygirl1995

@Fraanne have you tried ovulation strips. I used them and found them very helpful with my first

pixiedust21 · 02/02/2021 21:00

Hi ladies hope you don't mind if I join?

Been lurking on MN for a long time and finally signed up.... can't believe I'm even on these boards to be honest!

It's month 1 of TTC for us and AF is due this week. I swore I'd be super chilled but I've been symptom spotting like crazy. Trying to act chilled again now and prepare myself for AF coming.

What a crazy ride already!
