@climbershell I had that sensation yesterday!! I was out walking and was so panicked because it felt like AF had started in full flow, 6 days early! Rushed home and nothing there!
I don’t think I’ll test early unless I get absolutely no spotting. Because I always get a few days of spotting before AF, therefore don’t end up needing to waste a test 🙁

@TTCat39 I’m temping for first time this month but it’s all gobbledygook to me. Hoping it becomes clearer the more cycles I do.

climbershell · 02/03/2021 09:18

@Misty84 strange isn't it! Tho I expected cm rather than AF, I'm too late for implantation bleeding now. I'd love to see some creamy cm lol

That makes sense. I often only get spotting one day before, tho sometimes I have a day of spotting nothing at all for 2 days, then AF

Geriatric1234 · 02/03/2021 10:47

Just checking in to say hello to anyone new and crossing everything for all you imminently testing!

I’m trying OPKs for first time properly this month. I say ‘properly’ but I think I already missed the first day I was supposed to test! Oh well, good practice to be in a little routine! For next month!

xx

climbershell · 02/03/2021 12:14

I'm back with another probably not related symptom... This morning had uncomfortable feeling around my belly button, it's not very nice. Especially when I'm bending over, which is a fair bit atm as I'm out at work. 🤔

Kitekat81 · 02/03/2021 12:47

Good luck everyone approaching the end of the 2ww! There's enough of us on this thread that statistically surely we have to have some bfp's this month! 🤞🤞🤞

WrongendoftheSTIX · 02/03/2021 12:51

Don't know if it's down to the supplements this month but I often have long, drawn out periods 4/5 days with 2 days of spotting.

This month I'm cd3 and spotting - only need panty liner! Day 1 & 2 were heavier than usual and day 1 was ridiculously painful with nausea etc (v unusual for me) but I'm done!
My BBT is rising now too so chart shows I'm over too and gearing up for ov. Glad I ordered the ubiquinol on CD so I have been taking it for a couple of days ready for ov!

Noodella18 · 02/03/2021 12:54

Bloody hell @Marvellouslymadmum that is some impressive dtding! Really hope it works for you!

Noodella18 · 02/03/2021 13:03

@Magnum99 I have my partner taking the wellman conception vits and told him to cut down on the booze. I'm also going to stealth dose him with some maca powder baked into a cake! I did the same trick when I conceived last time!

In fact I was reading a post on the main board from somebody who had been trying for like 18 months and then started taking maca powder and raspberry leaf tea and conceived that month! So maybe it's worth eating some of the cake myself 🤔

WrongendoftheSTIX · 02/03/2021 13:13

@Noodella18 maca powder? Is that just from Holland & Barrett?

Noodella18 · 02/03/2021 13:23

@wrongendoftheSTIX oh we're cycle buddies! I'm in CD3 as well. Just downloaded the premom app and trying to decide when to dtd...

How does everyone do it? Do you shag as much as possible through fertile week or just stick to the 3 or 4 days around ovulation? Surely the sperm have to regenerate or something...

Noodella18 · 02/03/2021 13:24

@wrongendoftheSTIX last time I actually got it from the wholefoods section of Tesco, there were a load of supplements to from quite a slick looking brand, can't remember the name. This time I just ordered a pack off ebay. It tastes a bit like arse but not too bad if it's covered up with other flavours.

Noodella18 · 02/03/2021 13:27

@wrongendoftheSTIX I just had a look and it was the Naturya brand which is the same one as they sell in H&B...

Noodella18 · 02/03/2021 13:28

Ooh, I've just seen they do capsules too... that might be better than the arse taste!

Marvellouslymadmum · 02/03/2021 13:46

@climbershell I had that last month! Thought it may be something but turned out not to be for me 😕

@Noodella18 thank you, not holding out too much hope as we've missed ovulation day but hey ho

climbershell · 02/03/2021 14:01

@Marvellouslymadmum oh doh, wishful thinking. I'll wait another day or 2 then test anyway. Ovia reckons test Fri

I think research recommends DTD every 48 hrs (ish) as more often can mean that he produces fewer optimum sperm (immature). It's like a conveyor belt where sperm mature as they go along, and ejaculating sooner speeds up the belt and not all sperm are as mature as necessary when they 'come out' 😁. So DTD multiple times in one day for example is probably not going to achieve much (and may tire you both out). But you never know! My last BFP was from DTD 3 days in a row up to ov. No way of knowing which session did the trick!

Marvellouslymadmum · 02/03/2021 14:10

@climbershell yes just because it wasn't something for me doesn't mean it isn't for you!

Noodella18 · 02/03/2021 14:28

🤣 all I can think of now is sperm on a conveyor belt being flung off the end, urrrgh!

😂 it's obv more a series of tubes. Think waterslide?! 😂😂
thislittlebird · 02/03/2021 14:46

Day before ovulation is better anyway (apparently) @Marvellouslymadmum so you never know.

I lost it today. I’ve been dealing with a mystery skin ailment that’s made the last year pretty awful tbh, it’s been ongoing for 17 months now, and I feel like it’s stealing my ttc years from me when I need them most 😭. Anyway, I can’t take this anymore, or the lack of sleep that comes with it when it flares up so I booked an expensive dermatologist today and I’ll be going next week. If I can focus on getting this resolved I feel like I’ll be in a better place mentally and physically for ttc. We’ve saved plenty during lockdown and planning to use it for ivf (although would rather not) so going to spend some of that on dermatology I guess. I did see a dermatologist in January but she was useless, and the whole outfit there was weird (I only went there because they said they did a certain test on their website). I asked my GP for a referral for months and they kept saying I hadn’t requested enough prescriptions or called enough about it, they’re absolutely ridiculous, but I’m going to push them for a referral again later this week (the doctor I’m seeing privately is actually the one from my local hospital, thought it might be a good way of finding a decent one).

Eventually one of them saw photos of my skin in December and gave me stuff to use, it got better for a time, and now it’s worse again. I don’t think any of this is helping my mental health, stress levels, and general health for ttc. I’m exhausted by it, so I’m really hoping this doctor can help me, I’m going to ask her to test me and test me and test me some more because I’m over it, I just need answers, even if they’re expensive.

God I hope the supplements don’t make my periods lighter @KG1145 Confused. I’m hoping for the opposite effect, let’s see.

@Noodella18 fertility doc told us every other day all month which isn’t my cup of tea but we’re trying. We did it in the pattern attached in the photo this month (where it says AM and PM) because we were aiming to do SMEP but my LH surge surprised me and came early. Now I can’t be arsed to do it anymore, even though she told me to carry on Hmm

@climbershell @Misty84 I’ve started logging all my PMS symptoms each month to see patterns because every month I seem to get a new one which is ultimately nothing when AF arrives 🙄. It messes with my head.

@TTCat39 huh, that’s weird. Which thermometers did you get? Maybe try vaginal temping, I find the temps more consistent.

And welcome to @Em371983!

Speaking of weird symptoms, last month at 7dpo I got this bizarre electric shock from my left ovary area running directly from there up my torso, very odd, it stopped me in my tracks. Obviously I thought it was significant but it turned out to be nothing. 🙃

Marvellouslymadmum · 02/03/2021 15:03

@Noodella18 @sickofthisyear little sperm water slides 😂😂 omg I'm dying!

@thislittlebird let's hope so! Lol
That must be so frustrating for you with the skin condition, I completely understand - I had an ichy rash all over my body from hair to toes when I was pg with my son from week7 all the way through, it was horrible! I was itchy and blotchy and it drove me mad all through summer! I was tested and tested, even spent a week in hospital and they concluded - it was a pregnancy related rash and would probably go once I had him and blow me it did! A few days after I'd had him it all started going away, such a mystery and I didn't have it with my daughter 🤷🏼‍♀️ let's hope they find out what is causing it and sort it for you 🤞🏻

Noodella18 · 02/03/2021 15:29

@thislittlebird every other day all month?!?!?! Erm that's a no from me.

@sickofthisyear 😂😂😂 the sperm water slide. Gross! Also you know when spunk and water sets like glue? Urrrrrrgh!

thislittlebird · 02/03/2021 15:34

Yeah it really sucks tbh. Having a mystery pregnancy rash is a pain, and I won’t lie, I do worry what my immune system will do if (when?) I get pregnant. It’s very reactive so I anticipate a rough ride @Marvellouslymadmum.

After so long it’s really effecting my mental health and stealing my time and energy. I’ve had eczema all my life but it was really well managed and controlled for the last 15 years but it got much worse suddenly and wasn’t quite like my regular eczema, it just came out of nowhere, was much worse and has never been properly under control since 2019. I bought probiotic supplements and have started taking those because I now there can be a link to bacteria in the body and skin issues, no harm in trying.

thislittlebird · 02/03/2021 15:34

Tell me about it @Noodella18. My face might have dropped when she said it Confused. I’m so over dtd, just let me rest.
