Anyone else TTC over the age of 40? I have a 19 month who was conceived first attempt. TTC #2 since June without success so far. Be good to hear from anyone in the same boat! I’m still bfeeding so wondering if that might be a factor. Plus my age obvs!

Which CD is everyone on and how is everyone feeling? I am on CD4, and on my 5th day of taking Ovum so that won't have kicked in yet so not hopeful for this cycle and will have to miss July cycle as DH away with work, so August will be the next cycle I am feeling more positive about as will have been taking Ovum for two months and DH has been taking testosterone supplements and other sperm enhancing vitamins etc
In other news, if anyone is feeling particularly emotional, anxious or just out of sorts, it could be because it's a June Strawberry Moon tonight! I'm no expert on the moon and its effects but I know that I always get my period around the same time as the full moon and I never sleep well!
Anyway, any updates from anyone else still on here that's ttc would be good to hear...hope one of us (or all of us in fact!) have good news soon! xxx

Hi @41ferriswheels. I'm still here!

It's CD10 for me so really need to start DTD. DD was full of toddler lurgy last week which she has passed on to me but am starting to feel better now after feeling very ropey over the weekend so hopefully we will manage it!

We are away early July which i had hoped would coincide with FW but it looks like it will instead coincide with AF!

Have you had your DH's testosterone levels tested or just taking the supplements as extra help?

Hi all, sorry I have been awol… but for those that remember me… I successfully delivered my baby boy back in April and he is 11 weeks old already! I am absolutely in love with him and enjoying my baby bubble so much!
For those ttc, don’t give up! I’m 43 (44 in august), had 3 previous mcs but now have a sibling for my 6 yo daughter in my arms. It’s a tough journey but so worth it. X

ttcbecca · 30/06/2022 13:47

@Lastyearttc Congratulations and thank you for sharing! Love hearing these positive outcomes 😀After 2 miscarriages and now nearing 43 I’ve pretty much given up hope of giving my daughter a sibling but you’ve shown me there’s still a chance. I hope you are enjoying life with your new baby and getting some sleep at least 🤣

Jem1979 · 10/07/2022 10:04

@Lastyearttc congrats on your baby boy, my little bubba is 10 weeks today, time is flying by!! I will be 43 next month so I agree don't focus too much on age. If you are still ovulating you can still make a baby! Hope everyone is doing ok and enjoying some nice weather xx

Hi @Jem1979 lovely to hear from you. I agree, life is hectic with two! God knows how I’m going to manage everything with I go back to work lol. We have starting weaning here so it’s messy fun times! Hope everyone’s is doing ok? Xx

Hi everyone, I've not been on here for a while. Lovely to hear news of healthy babies!
I'd appreciate any knowledge about Cabergoline please. Anyone know if it can affect LH/FSH? Been taking it for 3 months due to pituitary adenoma. Blood tests a few weeks ago (age 43 almost 44) had awful results: prolactin back to normal but LH/FSH had gone from 8 to 100, meaning they class me as in full-on menopause. My period should have come back when the prolactin went back to normal, but it hasn't, which clearly isn't great. I've been pretty devastated.
To top it off, this news was delivered in an extremely blunt letter with no detail, no information about whether to keep taking the cabergoline, a recommendation to start HRT without any reasoning, and no offer to discuss. Next appointment in March 2023. I had to call to find out what it was all about.
In addition, I'm now really confused about the cabergoline. I have run out of it (I know I'm sounding really disorganised here and I am - just so stressed about this and other things) so I've missed one dose. I'm due to pick up the new supply today and had planned to take a dose, but my period just started (sort of) for the first time in about a year. I now don't know what to do and can't think straight. Could anyone help please?
By the way, with cabergoline you take one dose twice a week.
Thanks to anyone who can help x

Jem1979 · 07/11/2022 11:19

@Lastyearttc started weaning here too! Forgot how messy it is! My house is a total tip lol.

@Sash78 oh sounds like you've been having a stressful time really sorry to hear that. So not helpful just getting a letter like that in the post with no discussion. I've no idea about that am sorry, hopefully someone else can help you or else I would request an appt to discuss further? Sounds promising you have got your period (even sort of) though? xx

Thanks @Jem1979 I've just called the fertility centre and left a VM, though always good to hear from others too. x
