Husband and I have had various losses the last almost two years. Last year we had our baby boy prematurely and heartbreakingly died an hour after he was born. Since then we have been trying unsuccessfully- some months, I think through the grief I would make myself believe that there was a line.

I’m 8 days post ovulation today and I think I can see a vvv faint pink line that came within the ‘window’.

I don’t want to tell my husband and get his hopes up bcos I’m scared that I’ve got line eyes. I am feeling a little rough which prompted me to take the test so maybe I am pregnant?

So very pleased for you. I don’t have any advice, other than try to relax and enjoy nurturing your beautiful baby all to yourself before you have to share with the world x

What a lovely thread to read Smile very pleased for you! Enjoy every second, and take good care of yourself Flowers

Yes, get a stitch and take the progesterone, there is no reason not too and they really do help. I’ve taken progesterone in both of my pregnancies after a previous loss and it also helped to reassure me. I think one of the worst things with pregnancy is the feeling of having no control, however this helped me feel like I was at least doing everything I could possibly do to help the baby.

This was a lovely thread to read OP, I’m so happy it’s going well for you. It must be terrifying but absolutely try & enjoy it as much as you can, doctors will be keeping a close eye on you, you have the benefit of experience this time around.

So, so sorry about your son. He’ll always be with you & his new baby brother or sister. All the best Flowers

Congratulations on your pregnancy! I was in hospital for about 2 months before I gave birth and I met many women in there who had had miscarriages previously. One lady from africa had problems with her cervix and sadly had 14 miscarriages in her home country. When she came to the UK she had a stitch on her 15th pregnancy and carried her baby long enough to successfully give birth. I don't know alot about stitches but I know a lot about people who bled throughout pregnancy and went into premature labour which was stopped. I bled several times during pregnancy for weeks and went into premature labour once at 32 weeks. But thankfuly I gave birth successfully at 36 weeks. You will be surprised at how many people bleed alot yet still go on to have successful pregnancies. I am sure someone with more experience will come on to advise you but I really think from what I have seen a stitch is a very common and simple procedure and will give you some reassurance. Good luck.

I could see the line on those early tests and then read the thread - so delighted for you OP and wishing you the very best of luck.

Jillypots · 16/03/2021 09:09

Huge congrats! Wishing all three of you health and happiness Flowers

Roonerspismed · 16/03/2021 09:11

I have spent hours of my life staring at those tests.

I can see a line and have everything crossed for you my love xx

Splicedbananas · 16/03/2021 09:17

I also bled through pregnancy because of my cervix and had a healthy baby who's now 20! Because of your history, I'd be tempted to have the stitch and progesterone if that is what the medical team recommends. Got everything crossed for you.

trunumber · 16/03/2021 09:17

Congratulations OP, I didn't see a line at all on your first test but when I scrolled down to see it getting stronger and stronger my heart lit up for you! Very best wishes for the rest of your pregnancy

Ohdofuckofdear · 16/03/2021 09:21

I've never had to have the stitch but do know some people that have had it and they said for them it was 100% the right choice.

Over the bloody moon for you both OP,shall have my fingers crossed for you and don't forget if your ever worried talk to your midwife/Dr asap they won't mind and I think it's always best to ask for reassurance/help as soon as you need it,I've lost a baby(pregnancy)so I know the fears.Best of luck to you both Flowers

lovemenomore · 16/03/2021 09:25

Aww congrats OP!

I could see the lines on your first tests posted in January!

I would take all the advice you can - you will know whats the right thing to do.

x

Hopeful201 · 16/03/2021 09:25

I am like you, early pg symtoms and normally test c8dpo and get faint positives. Which then get stronger. I had many losses, including a full term pregnancy-I totally understand why you are testing early. I never could help myself either. Good luck. x

Tootsee · 16/03/2021 09:27

Fingers crossed for you both. Please keep us updated, you will be in my thoughts and prayers. 💐

SeaShoreGalore · 16/03/2021 09:48

So pleased for you!

vivariumvivariumsvivaria · 16/03/2021 10:08

If you are undecided about the stitch you need to have more information. Have another chat with your midwife, they'll be happy to talk through pros and cons.

Am very pleased for you. Lovely news. Keep sticking, baby!
