Husband and I have had various losses the last almost two years. Last year we had our baby boy prematurely and heartbreakingly died an hour after he was born. Since then we have been trying unsuccessfully- some months, I think through the grief I would make myself believe that there was a line.

I’m 8 days post ovulation today and I think I can see a vvv faint pink line that came within the ‘window’.

I don’t want to tell my husband and get his hopes up bcos I’m scared that I’ve got line eyes. I am feeling a little rough which prompted me to take the test so maybe I am pregnant?

I can't see a line. But it's hard to capture in photos.

I personally made the decision after trying for a while to only test if my period was at least a day late - to avoid going crazy with things like this. It also let's you have a bit of hope whereas if you're getting a negative e.g. 1-2 days before AF is due, then it's probably an accurate negative which is upsetting. But appreciate it's personal.

GeordieGreigsButtButtZoom · 05/01/2021 14:43

I'm so sorry for all your losses, OP. I cannot imagine the heartbreak.

In the kindest, gentlest way, because it's so completely understandable why you're testing so early, I really think you should wait until you're a day late. This squinting at tests days past ovulation (if you even know when that was) and long before your period is due can drive even the most grounded woman completely insane and you've had more tragedy than most. It's crazy making. If you are, and I hope you are and have a healthy child, you'll know soon enough.

Good luck.

WhatTiggersDoBest · 05/01/2021 14:43

I can't see a line. I'd do about three tests to be sure, at least 2 days after missed period, but I've lost a lot of babies and wouldn't want to get my hopes up (been there, done that, it makes you crazy).
Good luck!

Becxs · 05/01/2021 14:48

I can also see a line on all 3. I also agree with LividLovely hold off with the digital, the digital is not as sensitive and will not pick it up just yet.
Good luck x

Iwasonceabrownie · 05/01/2021 14:48

Sorry, I can't see anything.

BashfulClam · 05/01/2021 14:51

They look like all my sadly negative ones I’m afraid. Test again in a few days if you can see a line and it will give you a stronger result. I hope you get what you wish for, I never did.

Chabbylis · 05/01/2021 15:06

Sorry I can’t see anything

whatsoccuringnow · 05/01/2021 15:14

I can see a line in all three. I really hope you are!

Godimabitch · 05/01/2021 15:52

That's exactly what I would expect at 8dpo, a digital wont tell you anything for at least a week. The test you're using is the best really, test again in 48hrs. Goodluck :)

PattyPan · 05/01/2021 15:53

I can’t see it on any of them, sorry. Fingers crossed for you!

Banana0pancakes · 05/01/2021 15:54

My 18mo's first test was like that at about the same dpo.

MissBaskinIfYoureNasty · 05/01/2021 15:58

I feel like I can see a line but not sure if its just because I really want to see one! Fingers crossed for you!

caringcarer · 05/01/2021 15:58

I just can't be see a line. Wait a week then try s digital one. I hope you are pregnant.

londonmummy1234 · 05/01/2021 16:03

I can see a line in two of them. I hope this is it for you. I have everything crossed. Don't do a digital one... this early you'll get a negative. Try and put it out your mind (easier said than done!) and test a day after missed period.

Greenbks · 05/01/2021 17:36

Thanks guys, I’m really feeling the love from you all and have at times today just burst into tears from your messages. I’m sorry to all the women who struggled, and didn’t get their outcome. If this baby does by some miracle stick then I am at risk of another premature birth so we won’t be getting too excited.

I won’t take the digital yet but have ordered one so it’s ready to go on Sunday when I’m due on. Haven’t told my husband and I won’t until I know for sure but it’s difficult when he is around! We’ve both been trying for 10 months since our son and I really don’t want to get his/my hopes up just yet.

Hopefully next time I post it’ll be good (sticky) news 🤞🏽

I can't see anything OP sorry. Why not test when your period is due and wait a few days. I appreciate you must be desperate to know but be a bit more patient and you'll get a more definitive result. I had a faint line the day my period was due about 14 dpo. By testing so early and getting different responses on here you're potentially working yourself into a frenzy for nothing. However I wish you the best of luck for the next few days

Tomcullenisahero · 05/01/2021 17:58

I'm so sorry for all you've been through and I wish you so much luck. I have had a terrible time with FRER and have had several lines but I wasn't pregnant, just terrible indents I think. I really wish you all the best but I don't want you to be so disappointed as I was. This picture is one if the many lines which wasn't a pregnancy.
I truly hope you are pregnant though

Northernmummy80 · 05/01/2021 18:18

I feel like I can see a line....or I desperately want there to be a line for you 🤞🤞🤞

DressingGownofDoom · 05/01/2021 18:29

I've had disappointment from FRER lines before too but I really hope this is it for you OP Thanks

BrainAyche · 05/01/2021 18:44

Sorry for your loss.
I've struggled with trying to conceive and can empathise a little with your anguish, personally I tested daily and obsessively from far too early on in my cycle as even though I had to deal with the disappointment, the hope and excitement was still nice each most months. I used mostly 'internet cheapy' strips though so they were fine to waste. I saved my FRERS for the day before my period was due.

I had the faintest of a shadow on a cheap strip test when I was pregnant from around 10dpo, maybe before. The shadow had no colour but it was different to the 'evap lines' or indents when compared to the negative tests I was used to, I even compared it with one taken with water and there was an ever so slight difference.

It matters a lot if the line/shadow came up before the time limit or not. Personally I can see a hint of a line but then I still remember how I used to scrutinise these tests so much so it might be that I want to see a line.

Another thing to mention is that sometimes second morning urine can actually show a stronger line than first, I can't remember the reasoning behind it but I remember reading about it at the time as it was the case for me and others that I spoke to on a TTC forum.

Just things to consider if, like me, you can't resist testing again, though I'd have to agree it makes more sense to wait until your period is due.

Good luck!

knowledgeablyclueless · 05/01/2021 18:54

I can see it clear as day!

SlightlyJaded · 05/01/2021 18:59

@Tomcullenisahero

That is a really strong line - I would have been very confident if I'd seen that. I'm so sorry that it wasn't a pregnancy for you.

Proceed with caution OP. Evap lines are notorious and misleading. Have a look at the conception threads - loads of 'line eyes' posts on there with people posting tests at similar points in their cycles.

TheNinny · 05/01/2021 19:05

I defo see a very faint line in the 1st pic xx

allthewaterinthetap · 05/01/2021 19:13

I can see that, it's just like the one I got five years ago...he's playing dinosaurs now!

Good luck. God bless.

DrManhattan · 05/01/2021 19:17

I can only see one line in each pic
