Tracking your cycle and possible BFP using RHR - part 5

Hi ladies,

This is for all of us with heart rate monitors who wish to help each other analyse the RHR patterns throughout our cycles.

Early research shows there's a correlation with increasing RHR and BFPs - so let's try and spot some together!

@Kona84 aah that's so sweet, proper bean in there! What's your due date? Remind me, is this your first?

Not got much to update on my side. Cycle 17 now but can't TTC this cycle as I have a laparoscopy scheduled end of the month.

Oooh @Kona84 amazing!! Look at that scan! So clear! I can't wait to get to that point again! 🥰

@IndigoJam @Cakelaur congratulations 🎉

@LS2020 how are you doing? Hope you are well!

@Juno231 hey! Hope you are well. Hope the Lap goes well for you at the end of month.

@Kona84 lovely pic!

This is my second pregnancy but first getting to 12 weeks
I miscarried at 8 weeks with first pregnancy January 2020
They put my due date as October 17th.

I had such a painfully full bladder for this scan- the letter said to drink 800mls An hour before attending. It was actually too full and had to go empty half way through.

It was so weird going on for the scan I had braced myself for bad news so when she actually said everything was okay I was relieved but the shock stopped me from getting too excited.
My partner was sat looking at the tv monitor and he said he just felt overwhelmingly happy which was sweet.

We had been trying on and off since March 2020 but due to covid and partners MH we were not trying every month and we couldn’t get the timings right.
Then in January this year Everything Seemed to line up for us.

I did try to squeeze in another BD at peak but it was too much pressure so I had to just hope. And luckily for us the 2-3 days lead up worked.

Juno231 · 09/04/2021 17:19

@Kona84 that's beautifully written! I'm so glad it worked and that the stars aligned for you, your husband and the bean. Oct 17th is my dad's birthday :)

For anyone interested I just came across this as I was on my phone on my lunch break, this is my rhr chart for the year, I got my BFP in December and it's risen ever since!

How is everyone? @mumof23188 @Kona84 @Cakelaur @IndigoJam all going well I hope?

@Ls2020 anything new on your end?

I'm not TTC this cycle as I have a laparoscopy tomorrow but am hoping it will mean that cycles 18 and 19 are extra lucky lol.

@Juno231 aww thanks for thinking of me. All is going well at my end (I think) we've booked an early scan for mid May when I'll be 9weeks. Nausea is just starting to kick in. My heart rate is generally up... but then I have mega drop days, not sure if it's something to worry about.
I stopped charting once I got my bfp, so no idea about temp or anything.

But generally I'm feeling ok.
How are you feeling about skipping a cycle? Fingers crossed for the next one! 🤞🏻🤞🏻

Hi everyone,
I posted last month thinking I had a steady rise but AF made an appearance Sad

Congrats to all of the BFPs! It’s so nice to follow a thread and see people’s BFP charts Smile

I was just wondering if any of you could take a look at my chart for this month and help me out as to when I could have ovulated as I have my Fitbit saying I ovulated on 19th and another app saying 24th... if I ov’d on 19th, I will be 8DPO currently.
I have labelled my chart for the first and last day of AF, the day of my Fitbit ovulation and the day of my other app’s ovulation

Thank you Smile x

What cd is the 19th and the last circle on your chart?
When did you BD in relation to these?
That double peak is identical to mine I couldn’t work out if I ovulated Cd15 or cd16 I counted the day after the double peak as my ovulation - I BD’d CD13 I got my BFP at 10dpo. I’ve attached my chart to show the similarities to yours.

@Juno231 hi lovely! Yes all good here thanks. 21 weeks on Thursday. We are having a baby boy 🥰.

Hope your lap went well today and fingers crossed the next cycle is yours. Genuinely can’t wait until you post your BFP here!!!

Oh and my HR is generally around the high 60’s now!

@LS2020 how are you doing?

NJOBX · 28/04/2021 09:59

Hi @Kona84

Thanks for your reply, congratulations, I’ve seen your scan pictures!

The 19th is CD 17, the last circle on my chart is CD 22. We BD CD: 11, 12, 13, 16, 17,18, 19, 20, 21 and 22 so I think we have covered it either way FC 🤞🏼

So was CD15 / CD16 the day after the second peak on your chart? What did your chart look like at 10DPO when you got your BFP?

I noticed yours goes down after the big M, but this morning mine has gone up slightly... I’m not sure what to think as I could be either 9 DPO or 4 DPO. My AF is due on Tuesday if I Ov’d on CD17 but if I ov’d CD22, my app says it will be later next week x

NJOBX · 28/04/2021 10:00

I have attached today’s chart, it has only gone up by 1 x

Kona84 · 28/04/2021 10:14

@NJOBX mine dropped from the 72 at peak to 68 and then from 7dpo it started rising 1bp per day until it got back to 72bpm- at 10dpo I was at 72dpo it rose right up to 75 day of missed period then dropped again which made me anxious but all had been okay I even had that steep drop off and I honestly though a miscarriage was on its way.
Feb 6th is 10dpo.
My dating scan is 2 days ahead of where I thought though so it’s possible that I ovulated cd14 - after first peak rather than cd16 after second peak.

Kona84 · 28/04/2021 10:16

Looking at your chart if you count the first day after first peak on the M you are 5dpo I think but from the 19th you are 7dpo so this rise could be looking positive

NJOBX · 28/04/2021 11:27

Ahh yes, I can see where yours has risen before your BFP. So yours started to rise at 5DPO like mine is now... do you have any ideas as to when implantation occurred then? And when did you develop any symptoms you had?

I am kind of worried that my luteal phase is too short for implantation if i am only 5DPO, because I’ll only be 10/11 DPO when my AF is due if I ov’d after the first dip x

NJOBX · 28/04/2021 11:27

Sorry @Kona84, forgot to tag you in it x

Kona84 · 28/04/2021 13:48

I had cramping I honestly thought my period was coming.
I was emotional at the smallest things.
My boobs were painful but this wasn’t unusual for that time of the month.
Since getting a BFP other than boobs and fatigue and some cramping my symptoms have barely been noticeable. No sickness, nausea etc

NJOBX · 28/04/2021 14:52

@Kona84 That’s good that you’ve not had any morning sickness or many other symptoms. How far gone did you say you were now?

I have had a bit of cramping yesterday and Monday and have been really fatigued and tired since Monday - been going to bed so early. But other than that, nothing. I’m going to keep my eye out for any potential indications of implantation on my chart as well! Although I know that doesn’t show for everyone x

Kona84 · 28/04/2021 15:10

Only the cramping in hindsight made me think of implantation. I remember there was a day when the cramping was quite stabby.

I’m 15weeks and 3 days today.
My heart rate goes up and down but sits around 76bpm average at the moment attached is the last 3 months since BFP.

Fingers crossed for your BFP

@Kona84
I’ll be watching out for everything now especially now I have seen that my chart is so similar to yours!

Awww, I’m so happy for you! Smile
So in the last 3 months yours has dropped quite low in some areas but all in all, it has pretty much stayed quite elevated throughout most of it hasn’t it. I wish you a healthy rest of your pregnancy, thank you for helping me with my graph, I’ll post mine if I get a BFP FC 🤞🏼 x

mumof23188 · 28/04/2021 17:47

Hi @NJOBX good luck 🤞 I had a dip of two beats at 9dpo and also had some twinges so
I’m guessing that’s when the egg implanted. The dip was on 31st January. Will add mine for you! I ovulated on the 22nd December which was confirmed with BBT.

NJOBX · 28/04/2021 19:09

Hi @mumof23188 Smile

Congratulations on your BFP!

Oooh so you have also got the M’s on your chart, thank you for sharing! So you ovulated on the dip of the first M? And then implanted at the end of the second M? That’s very interesting to see!
Would you say that I ovulated on my first dip then? That would mean I ovulated on Saturday which means I would currently be 4 DPO. That’s also similar to what Kona said as well.
It just worries me that it doesn’t give me long to implant before my AF is due on Tuesday!

When did you get your BFP?

mumof23188 · 28/04/2021 20:09

@NJOBX thank you ☺️.

Yes ovulated on the dip of the first M and implanted on the end of the second. It’s really tricky to say because I never relied on HR alone to confirm ovulation. I used BBT. Some months mine would dip for ovulation and others it would rise. Did you have any fertile CM around the same time as the dip on yours? When did you notice it disappeared?

The most common day to implant is 9dpo but it can happen as early as 6. I got a positive OPK at 10dpo but didn’t test with a pregnancy test until 12dpo and I got a super strong line so think it would definitely of shown earlier had I of tested!

NJOBX · 28/04/2021 20:39

@mumof23188
To be honest, this is the first month I have been using BBT as well actually, I only started it just before my fertile window... that’s what made me think it was Saturday (24th, CD22) because my apps were saying my BBT suggested ovulation that day! But I’m worried that I’ve not being doing it right haha... I think I might have taken my temps at different times some of the days. If I don’t get a BFP this month, I will try and be more accurate with BBT next month.
How many cycles had you BBT before you got your BFP? Did you find it correlated with your RHR?

I seemed to have fertile CM on Sunday 18th (CD 16), Monday 19th (CD17) and Saturday 24th (CD22) so both possible fertile days which doesn’t help. I know that on Saturday there was a lot more of it though. It’s still been quite watery and creamy for the last week or so, but seems to have dried up a bit today but still a bit there (sorry TMI)!

I don’t think I will test until at least the day AF is due (I say this but I might end up getting excited with my charts haha) so that would be possibly 9DPO, CD31... I suppose I just won’t know either way until towards the end of next week. How frustrating is this waiting?!
