Hi ladies,

This is for all of us with heart rate monitors who wish to help each other analyse the RHR patterns throughout our cycles.

Early research shows there's a correlation with increasing RHR and BFPs - so let's try and spot some together!

@GlassLily a lot better than my other months for sure! I’m a little bit convinced I have too many good symptoms for it to be true though 😂
I’m not really sure - I’ve told myself if it’s gone up in the morning I might test but I kinda don’t know when AF is due, the last two months I had short LPs and would be due on tomorrow so don’t want to waste the test but not sure I can hold out til Thursday otherwise! I last tested at 12dpo when I have my mmc so might try do that as I have a busy day at work tomorrow and if it’s positive I won’t concentrate 😂

GlassLily · 22/03/2021 07:04

@LS2020 I'm having a hard time with all this, so I try not to beat myself up about testing... If I feel like testing, I'll just do it, rather than stressing over the cost/emotions. If it's negative, it's as expected. If it's positive, it's a great success and I'll be happy, and also can start to brace myself for another mc. Either way, the stress of worrying over which of these it is will be is worse than just finding out (for me)!

Let me know how you get on, really rooting for you 🤞🏻

LS2020 · 22/03/2021 10:09

@GlassLily I’m really struggling at the moment too. Another thread I’m on has had a few BFPs in last two weeks and feeling a little left behind (though super happy for them!). RHR is up again but had a bad nights sleep so not trusted it 😂
I don’t work Wednesdays so thinking that could be a good day to test, should be 13dpo and can celebrate or mope as I need

mumof23188 · 22/03/2021 10:18

@LS2020 @GlassLily sorry to hear you are both struggling. Sending you both a hug. TTC can really be soul destroying. Keep positive 💕.

@LS2020 sounds so promising with the HR rise!! Crossing everything. I think testing Wednesday sounds a good idea. Good luck!

LS2020 · 22/03/2021 11:27

Thanks @mumof23188 ❤️ Tbh just having a normal length cycle will be positive enough for me after 2 short ones. I’ve just done the q tip test and that’s come back clean so don’t think AF is showing today 🤞🏻

mumof23188 · 22/03/2021 12:30

@LS2020 yes a normal length cycle would be a positive, you have to take any positives you can in this journey ❤️. Fantastic news there’s no blood there. Let’s hope it stays away lovely 🤞🤞

Pamparam · 22/03/2021 13:20

Hey all, I was here last month when my rhr well and truly trolled me by going higher than ever before after O on 10/11th Feb but then did a classic drop before AF.

This month it’s gone even higher still, I’m currently 8dpo - what do you think... in with a chance?!

(As it’s already dropped by 1 then I’m not getting my hopes up)

mumof23188 · 22/03/2021 13:40

@Pamparam what a rise!! Definitely in with a chance. Good luck!

LS2020 · 22/03/2021 19:47

@mumof23188 thanks, this time the last two months I’d had some spotting so even if she keeps away for another day, it means I’ll still be able to get my bloods done on Friday.
Think I might have a couple more days though as boobs still sore and normally they go the day before AF shows 😁

LS2020 · 22/03/2021 19:47

Though actually saying that had the worst cramps so she’ll probs be here tomorrow!

GlassLily · 22/03/2021 20:59

@LS2020 excited for your test. Keep us updated! I know what you mean about feeling left behind. I never thought I would be someone who thought other people having babies was anything but wonderful. But it's crazy how it possesses your mind, and although I'm so so pleased for the BFPs it just hits me like a ton of bricks these days.

@Pamparam your chart looks promising. Mine dropped by 2bpm today at 9DPO... I'm trying not to read into it. Telling myself nothing matters until at least 11 or 12 DPO! Anything before that could be implantation.

I'm on a rollercoaster this month, feeling positive one minute, in tears the next.

LS2020 · 23/03/2021 05:50

@GlassLily thanks lovely but don’t think I’ll test, symptoms are starting to disappear and RHR has fallen but I’m just glad to have had a more normal cycle and can get bloods done 🤞🏻It’s been a super weird month, I’ve been the same. Wondering if it’s something to do with a year of lockdown but also coming to some sort of end but we’re not quite there yet?! I just want some normalcy!

GlassLily · 23/03/2021 07:33

@LS2020 ahh ok, when is AF due? Onto the next one!! Yeah everything that's going on is bound to mess with hormones, stress levels etc.

Jess11397 · 23/03/2021 07:36

Hi can I ask question I got positive pregnancy test on Saturday my af isn’t due till tomorrow my test are still positive but my heart rate has dropped from 83 on Saturday 85 on Sunday 84 yesterday and it’s 82 today I don’t really want to face facts but I can’t assume this is good and is going to result in chemical pregnancy

LS2020 · 23/03/2021 08:49

@GlassLily Thursday hopefully but think it might be tomorrow with all the cramps, I’ll take a 26 day cycle after two 23/24s haha

@Jess11397 I wouldn’t be overly worried yet, there’s still a lot of initial hormones floating around for you and on this thread I’ve seen all sorts of rises and dips and it’s not always meant something. I also find RHR is really finicky depending on what you’re doing, for example I always rise after Ovulation but last week I was on holiday for it so my RHR stayed flat as I was getting loads more sleep and generally relaxing but then had little peaks where I’d had a drink etc. I honestly would recommend taking the Fitbit off if it’s causing you any anxiety but as long as your lines stay strong, would try put out your mind until AF stays away ☺️

Pamparam · 23/03/2021 08:49

@GlassLily ahh we’re in the same boat then, I’m 9DPO today and it’s dropped another beat 💩 I guess it’s possible it’s implantation but who knows. Just another thing to obsess over, I’ve never been one who POAS a lot so instead I’ll just check my Fitbit app obsessively 🙄 at least it’s free (...after the cost of the watch obv)...?

Good luck to you and interested to see how both of us fare.

Jess11397 · 23/03/2021 08:52

@LS2020 my lines are still quite faint that what worries me af is due tomorrow and this was my test this morning

GlassLily · 23/03/2021 08:54

Hi @Jess11397, don't panic. I know this probably won't help, but just try not to worry too much at this stage. It's only a 3bpm variation and we see loads of variations like that. It could be absolutely normal.

For reference, I had a CP a couple of months ago and my RHR dropped 5bpm really suddenly over 3 days. So yours doesn't seem so dramatic by comparison. Especially considering it's a bit up and down.

Bear in mind that if it does turn out to be a CP, there's nothing you can do to change the outcome, so the best thing you can do is be kind to yourself and let your body do whatever it's doing - hopefully it's still just adjusting to the pregnancy 🤞🏻 have you had CPs/MCs before?

GlassLily · 23/03/2021 08:56

@Jess11397 and I think that's a great line for so early on!

Jess11397 · 23/03/2021 09:04

@GlassLily hi yea I have had a missed miscarriage in 2018 and I’m January I had a positive easy@home test but next day it was negative and I started bleeding doctor says it was likely I chemical and I wouldn’t have know had not tested before af and thank you it’s hard not to stress yourself out about every little thing thank you I’ll try and relax as I know no matter what I can’t change the outcome

mumof23188 · 23/03/2021 09:51

@LS2020 ah I’m sorry lovely. Fab you are on for a more normal length cycle and hopefully you can get your bloods done Friday 🤞🤞

GlassLily · 23/03/2021 09:57

@Jess11397 oh no, you've had a really tough time of it ❤️ I hope you manage to take your mind off things today at least for a little while. With past experience I guess you won't be able to help worrying. Sending hugs x

GlassLily · 23/03/2021 09:58

@Jess11397 and I agree with @LS2020 that taking your Fitbit off might help (although I know how hard that is and have never actually managed to do it myself 😂)

Jess11397 · 23/03/2021 10:04

@GlassLily thank you 🙏 the outcome can’t be changed I’ll just have to wait and see I had 3 normal pregnancy with no worry before all this and then I had my rainbow baby in 2019 but she had my stressing the whole time I bleed with her and thought I was having another missed miscarriage but it wasn’t she then stopped growing the cord stopped working but she was born healthy at 37 weeks at 5lb 12oz I just have never been able to stop worrying after my doctor was actually connived up until recently that I might not have been ovulating as my period were so irregular but the last two months they have been 25 days I ovulate quite early thought usally day 10/11 I will probably take a couple of more tests today because I just do it and it causes more worry but If I don’t I worry the same I just need to remember no matter what I do the outcome will still be the same and thank you ☺️ x
