Tracking your cycle and possible BFP using RHR - part 5

Hi ladies,

This is for all of us with heart rate monitors who wish to help each other analyse the RHR patterns throughout our cycles.

Early research shows there's a correlation with increasing RHR and BFPs - so let's try and spot some together!

@Juno231 You explained it really well. I usually have a similar pattern to yours although my RHR is a little lower. I also never see a rise or drop during ovulation.
Last cycle everything was off tho and it somehow continues to be off. By CD1 RHR should have dropped. Never seen my RHR this flat. Not sure what it means. I just hope it'll go back to normal somehow. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Alicespring · 22/01/2021 10:12

@Moominmiss

Mine dropped around the 7 week mark, now it varies between 66-69bpm which isn't much higher than my pre pregnancy rate!

I'm 14 weeks and so far everything is all good 👍

Moominmiss · 22/01/2021 10:33

Thank you @Alicespring that’s helpful to know. Around 7 weeks did you just start to notice it gradually dropping a bpm a day or bigger drops that that? I know it’ll be slightly different for everyone but I just want an idea of what could be considered ok!

Thank you again. Wishing you a happy and healthy remainder of your pregnancy!

Alicespring · 22/01/2021 10:37

@Moominmiss

I got a new Fitbit and lost all my previous data so I'm not 100% sure, but if I remember rightly a few days it dropped by 2/3 (which i thought was significant but obviously wasn't!) Then just levelled off to where it is now. Yesterday was 69bpm and I've woken up today and it's 66bpm, but that's the way it's been going recently. Apparently your heart gets used to pumping all that extra blood 😊

Thank you...morning sickness has plagued me for the last 8/10 weeks but hopefully I'm coming to the end of it now 🤞🤢

Happy birthday 🥳🎈🎉 @Juno231

@Juno231 Happy birthday dear! 🥳🥰

Happy Birthday @Juno231

My Ovia app just recalculated my potential ovulation date based on my CM input. So predicted ovulation is 25th now.
Premom app- where i store my OPK photos is still saying 0.25 so very low LH but starting to test twice a day now.
I’ve started on the vitawest prenatal vitamins this month and found last time I took them my cycle went from 28days to 34 days. So I need to be prepared for either a Cd14 ovulation or closer to CD20 ovulation.

RHR has increased another beat so I think the 25th might actually be accurate.
Date night tonight so fingers crossed.

Ps sometimes my LH jumps from 0.25 to almost 2 overnight so I’m not concerned that is this low at the moment

Cd13 RHR 72 and OPK showing as 0.91-high.

I normally use easy@home strips and a peak is around 1.97. I am now using fermometer and finding in my opinion the control line doesn’t seem to get as dark as the easy at home strips and I’m finding it a bit harder to interpret.
I think today’s test the lines are equal

@mumof23188 well remembered! Was it yours as well?? If so then happy belated birthday!

@Kona84 @LarasMama thank you my lovelies :) Hope you get your peak tomorrow then Kona!

@Alicespring I'm so glad all is progressing well with your pregnancy! Remind me how long it took in the end? I could use the hope 😅

Well I've been doing dry Jan but had lots to drink yesterday as it was my birthday :) as a result my rhr obv jumped up today but I'm still hoping to reach 62bpm before ovulation next weekend!

@Juno231 took me about 10/11 months!

LS2020 · 25/01/2021 07:29

Hi everyone,

Oh my gosh I can’t believe everything I’ve missed - congratulations all the ladies who have BFPs what fabulous news!!! And also a happy birthday to everyone that’s been celebrating them. Mines in 3 weeks but I’m more just excited because I’ve said I’ll stop my new diet for the week 😂

@mumof23188 I’ve gone proper teary this morning, I’m so so happy for you!!!! Congratulations lovely, wishing you a wonderful healthy and happy 9 months!

I’m officially fed up with RHR, having a stinker of a month - 5DPO and look at that drop?! Never ever had this in the last 18 months! It’s being generous with the 55 as 54.7 was my high last night. Don’t understand it as proper stressed with new promotion and year end at work so would think I’d get a fake high result 😂 ah well at least I can drink for my birthday!
Getting new bloods done this month and hospital expecting to send me for my scan referral really soon so hoping I make some progress 🤞🏻

LarasMama · 25/01/2021 09:35

@LS2020 Welcome back! Your RHR looks interesting! That drop could be implantation,or could be a shift in hormones during lp, but my RHR has been trolling me so I try not to read much into it anymore. How long is your lp usually?

I’m now 6 dpo and look at that rise tho. Such an early rise. I wonder if I will ovulate early. I think this is what happened last month. Didn’t I say I try not to read into RHR? 😂🙈 🤷🏻‍♀️

LarasMama · 25/01/2021 09:36

CD6 not 6 dpo 😁

LS2020 · 25/01/2021 11:03

@LarasMama I found an old thread where someone had low RHR post ov and then got their BFP so putting all hope into that 😂 it’s super weird though!! Never had that. Normal 14 day LP. I don’t do any other checks on O anymore, my cycle is always 27 days and was always on track to O CD13 so gave up testing every month!

Ooh that is high for CD6, always hate early rises because it only ever comes down 😩

LarasMama · 25/01/2021 20:34

I think some people's RHR doesn't increase by much. But 5 dpo is still super early I'd say @LS2020. Fingers crossed! Will you get hormone levels checked?

Juno231 · 25/01/2021 20:49

Ah hi @LS2020 ! Nice to see you back :) here's to hoping this is your month!

@Kona84 woop glad to see you caught that peak! Now for another thrilling tww 😬

CD9 here and my opks already have a decent second line so I'm thinking it'll be an earlier ovulation this time round than last cycle's cd16.

LS2020 · 26/01/2021 07:28

@LarasMama mines normally such a good cycle graph so not sure what’s going on! Hopefully, gone up 1 today but not huge improvement. Have deffo been having some odd symptoms this month though.
Yea getting day 3 bloods done. I had day 21 done in august but when I went back for day 3, they basically said they weren’t a thing and I didn’t need them and then lo and behold first thing fertility doc does is send me back because not had them done 😩

Thanks @Juno231 fx for you! Hope you had a wonderful birthday 🥰

Kona84 · 26/01/2021 08:12

I am so confused I was so confident I had caught my LH surge yesterday as it was so high then dropped.
But this morning it’s surged again and my HR has gone back up.

LarasMama · 26/01/2021 08:39

@LS2020 Have you had your thyroid levels checked?

@Juno231 When do you expect ovulation? When do you usually ovulate?

I’m cd7 and RHR is stuck at 63. Thankfully OPKs remained negative.

mumof23188 · 26/01/2021 08:41

Morning my lovelies 😍

So sorry I’ve been so quiet! OH is away so I’m busy busy and don’t seem to get 5 minutes!

@LS2020 ahhh thank you so much lovely. I was thinking about you the other day. How are you? Sorry to hear you are having a rubbish month with HR!! It’s so frustrating isn’t it. So have you had your first appointment with the fertility doc? Hope everything is good 😘

@Juno231 glad to hear you had a lovely birthday 🥳 mine was rubbish haha.

@LarasMama how are you? Let’s hope this cycle is normal for you 🤞🤞

@Kona84 ah that’s frustrating! Looks like your still surging!

Juno231 · 26/01/2021 09:21

@mumof23188 ah I'm sorry to hear that! I guess my main saving grace was being able to drink after going 3 weeks without whereas you couldn't even do that!

@LarasMama In the past year I've ovulated between CD11-CD17 so I never quite know when fertile week starts! Last two cycles were CD16 and CD14. When does your FW start?

@Kona84 ah that is annoying! I never know what to do with those either - I guess DTD today and tomorrow to be on the safe side?

CD10 and my RHR is weirdly high. It went up on Saturday to 65 when I'd expect it to still be dropping after AF. Sunday it went up to 67 but I expected that due to birthday drinks the day before. BUT I was fully expecting it to drop yday and it went up again to 68? Still waiting to see what today settles as.

@Juno231 ah it’s ok! OH was away so it was just like any other normal day. Yesssss, hope you enjoyed the booze 😆. Oh wow, that’s mega high for CD10. Any signs of impending ov?

I have my scan tomorrow and I’m just so anxious!!!
