Anyone else on the TWW and hoping for a Christmas miracle

Hi everyone,

This is our first cycle TTC, and whilst I promised myself I would stay calm and collected, truthfully I am the total opposite. I can't switch off from thinking about it.

It's taken my OH a while to come to terms with trying to start a family. Whilst we have been together since we were 15 (now 27) he always wanted to earn more, to have a bigger house etc but he's come to finally realise that it's never the right time and we just have to go for it. I was so so pleased he was finally ready but promised we would keep it relaxed and calm. If it happens, it happens,

But working from home and not having anything else to do, I just can't switch off from my mind wondering 🙈 wondered if there was anyone else in the same boat who just wants to chat really?

I'm due AF on Christmas Day so it would be such a Christmas miracle if she doesn't come.

Hey!! I never expected to be like this but here we are 🤣 af is due 26th but I think I'm going to test 24th but I may take a cheeky cheapie on 22nd just to soothe my need to pee on sticks 😂

I swear I've felt a bit nauseous all day and sore boobs, and almost a constant feeling of needing to burp. I had such a restless night last night which is unlike me. But I'm probably crazy symptom spotting 🙈

What will you all do if you test before Xmas and it's positive. Will you tell your family because of the not drinking situation? 😬

@dano99 I'm due the same 🙈 exactly the dates I was thinking of taking test too 😂

@Emmgrem I'm really not sure, I would love to tell the family I will be with as they will not be happy I'm not drinking, seeing drunk Amy is usually the highlight of their Christmas 😂
But at the same time it will be so early I'm not sure 🤷🏼‍♀️

Ahhh so glad to have a cycle buddy!! I'll be sure to update you along the way.. wonder what symptoms we will spot tomorrow 🤣

@dano99 feel free to share away 😂 that’s the kinda pains I’m getting now, but it’s not constant. When are you due on? Have you had them before? Good luck and fingers crossed for you 🤞🏻

I’ve just had a PMS outburst and snapped at my partner at the smallest thing so I think AF will be here very soon 😂. I’m clinging onto the hope that this cm I’m getting, that I’ve never had before, is a positive sign but who knows.

Hey, gonna tag along too if that's okay as I'm struggling to find people on similar days post as me.

I'm 7dpo today. On day 4 I had such horrible bloat, I felt like I was gonna explode. I sometimes get that but usually closer to AF and bit tmi but usually a sit on the loo gets rid of it but not this time aha. Since day 4 till now I've been having twinges, usual AF type cramping but more specifically on alternating sides. Mainly like ovulation pains/twinges.

I feel like im becoming obsessed looking out for clues and symptoms! I have been trying for 3 years, im now 32 and feel desperate. This cycle I've been trying the grapefruit juice method and pineapple core method. Has anyone had success with that?

@Moonchild88 I'm 8dpo today. I dont usually have a lot of symptoms before my period apart from getting super hungry but also being bored whilst I work from home is also making me eat more so I'm like no idea. Haha

Hiya ladies, I'm on cycle day 18 and I'm only just getting EWCM, I usually have a 29/30 day cycle but I've not long started my periods again from them going for 4/5 months. The top opk was from 3 o'clock today it hasn't got any darker then when I took it so not really sure how to make of this and the bottom one was from an hour ago.
Could I still conceive even if my ovulation is this late?

I was supposed to ovulate on day 14 and 15 so would be 2/3 dpo if I didn't notice my cm or took an opk

@Alist12 hey! This is what mine looked like last week, and they continued to look like this for 2 days, so I wasn't sure if I ovulated, but I had a pelvic scan on Saturday which showed I had, so I'd say it's likely you are, or will tomorrow

@ELBlack hiya thank you for responding, it's all just so confusing it really is. Me and my fiancé have been trying for over a year and nothing has happened. Could it be almost positive because my surge didn't last that long as I only took two today and they were mid/late afternoon/evening time?

@Alist12 it really is. I found it so stressful. If I hadn't booked a scan just to get a once over, I'd be unsure if I'd ovulated based on the results I got back from my OPK's. It's only because they confirmed I had. Some women have a really short peak and can be easily missed I think. This is all very new to me, and I'm only on month 1 ttc, so maybe someone else has better advice, but I would say if you're not pregnant this month, then from next month, start testing from about 2 days before the surge this time and multiple times a day until the lines get darker. You may not see a peak, and it might be better to get a different brand of test? Failing that you could dtd every other day and test at the same time each month to see if its worked for you?

@Mariex1989 - that's the plan anyway but let's see if I can hold out testing until then really. That PMS outburst could well be a BFP? I had sudden rages for no reason because of those damned hormones! Lol!

@ELBlack - uh-oh, feeling twinges in my tummy and the timing is about right for a visit from AF next Friday. In saying that, I've had these twinges when I was pregnant so now I can't tell if they're AF ones or not. I usually get a stinking headache just before she arrives and when she does, my headache disappears.

@jasmineh - I think I'll give it a try. I should tell DH what I'm going to be doing in case he walks in on me and gets excited! Lol!

@Emmgrem - I too was on the pill for many years, about the same as you and then fell pregnant 10 months later. I was 28 at the time. Burping is a good sign! For me anyway. I had horrendous gas and indigestion as a pregnancy symptom each time. I won't be testing before Christmas...will try to hold out until NYE if AF hasn't arrived.

@Moonchild88 - never heard of the grapefruit and pineapple methods. How do they work? Sounds like you add some rum to it...

@Alist12 - I'm no good with reading those strips. I can only understand static and flashy smiling faces! But I can tell you that I ovulated the day after my period finished once and that resulted in my 14yo DD. So anything is possible!.

Do any of you ladies get a burning feeling in your uterus' as a symptom of AF?

Morning ladies, got a faint line on the IC this morning. I'm 8DPO according to app but think 10DPO really based on temps and EWCM.
Trying not to get too excited.

@Foundmyfeet I'm just the same. Last night which was 9dpo I had cramps, which felt like mild AF cramps :( the only thing giving me hope is that usually the week before I come on I have a terrible breakout and irrational mood swings, but can't help feeling like it's not my time this month

I’ve woken up really nauseous this morning. Not reading into it though as I think it’s cos I have this awful phlegm in my throat 🤢.

Hi ladies, feeling really stupid but I'm 10dpo today and took a test. Of course it was BFN and now I'm feeling really grumpy. I did have some hope, but that's all out the window now! Hope everyone else is OK!

I’ve just been out and stocked up on frer’s, they were on offer in boots so thought might as well. As much as I’d like to say I’m going to wait, I’ll probably test straight away when I next need the loo 🙈

@Mariex1989 thank you! I see some people get positives at 10 days, so i had hope 🤷‍♀️

I'm not actually sure when my period is due exactly as it's not come back since I had the coil out beginning of November, but according to when i ovulated it will be around 23rd or 24th.

Ooh good to know, I might stock up. I have clear blue 6 days early and the ones which tell you how many weeks. Good luck with your test! Let us know x

@ELBlack I’ve just done one of the tests. I don’t know if it’s my eyes playing tricks on me but I can’t see the faaaaintest ever line. Most likely a BFN but I’ll test again when I have a stronger sample as it was very watered down I was just trying to drink loads to POAS 😂
