Anyone else on the TWW and hoping for a Christmas miracle

Hi everyone,

This is our first cycle TTC, and whilst I promised myself I would stay calm and collected, truthfully I am the total opposite. I can't switch off from thinking about it.

It's taken my OH a while to come to terms with trying to start a family. Whilst we have been together since we were 15 (now 27) he always wanted to earn more, to have a bigger house etc but he's come to finally realise that it's never the right time and we just have to go for it. I was so so pleased he was finally ready but promised we would keep it relaxed and calm. If it happens, it happens,

But working from home and not having anything else to do, I just can't switch off from my mind wondering 🙈 wondered if there was anyone else in the same boat who just wants to chat really?

I'm due AF on Christmas Day so it would be such a Christmas miracle if she doesn't come.

I can definitely agree with this. I feel like right now all I keep seeing is pregnancy announcements and all I see is negative tests!! I feel a lot more relaxed this month after deleting all of my fertility apps!

@DollyMixtureStocking @jasmineh completely understand! 3 of my friends and my sister have had babies this year so there’s no escaping it.

Started getting mild AF twinges more now so feel like she’s going to show her ugly head in the next few days

My cousin announced her pregnancy on the same day I started my period this month I think I find it more frustrating as it happened so easily with my first. I’m beating myself up wondering if I’ve left it too long in between. Each month I delete my fertility apps and the month after I always redownload them! DP hates talking about it as he says it makes sex feel like a process and it puts him off! So I don’t really have anyone to talk about it with xx

I'm 7dpo now, and had more sticky white discharge than since my CM but no clue if that's a sign or not. I've also been getting a heavy pressure feeling at the top of my breasts (almost as if my chest, not boobs) but my actual boobs feel completely fine and normal.

The only overwhelming feeling I have is tiredness. I feel tired and drained down to my bones.

Any other ladies having these symptoms?

@ELBlack I’ve noticed that too this last few days, but don’t know if I’m just overthinking.

I had to go for a nap in the middle of the day, was absolutely shattered but think that’s down to a cold I can feel coming on.

When are you thinking of testing?

@DollyMixtureStocking completely understandable. It’s nice to have these chats with people going through the same thing

@Mariex1989 I am going to wait until Monday, which will be 13dpo. What about you?

@ELBlack I’ll probably do Monday as well. But I really think AF will be here by then, can feel it . Make sure you let us know how you get on

I've been surrounded by pregnancy/birth announcements! It seems like it's happening for everyone except me!
My brother-in-law and his wife had their first baby 2 days before I miscarried in May.
My husbands ex-gf gave birth in July with her new partner which was the month I'd have been due if I'd not had an MMC last year.
2 friends have become grandmothers earlier this year.
My goddaughter gave birth in September.
My neighbour is due in February.
And then only this evening, my friend announced her niece gave birth last week after her first IVF attempt. She thought she told me she was pregnant but I think she was just being mindful and sensitive toward me. But hearing about others happiness and successes does make me feel good and gives me hope.
All I keep doing is buying baby stuff...just not for me!

@Mariex1989 thank you. It has been a difficult road to say the least but I still have hope.

@ELBlack @Mariex1989 - I'm going to wait until I'm 6 days late before I test. I've got one left over in the box and I'm beginning to begrudge spending money on BFN's!!

@Foundmyfeet wow that is a lot of announcements! Breaks my heart as I know how you’ll be feeling. My old best friend who said she didn’t really want children told me she was 7 weeks pregnant a week after I found out about my mmc. Life’s cruel. Now I have to be happy for her when really the jealousy is eating me away!
We just need to all remember that our time will come, hopefully this cycle but if not maybe the next! Baby dust to everyone ❤️🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼✨✨✨

@jasmineh - oh that sucks! Typical that your ex-friend didn't want kids and ended up pregnant. Would it be really naughty of me if I secretly wish (for you) that she has a nocturnal baby?! Or that her breast milk leaks when wearing a brightly coloured shirt in the middle of a supermarket?!
In all seriousness, that must've felt like taking a bullet particularly after your MMC. I'm sorry to hear you've also experienced that. It near on killed me when I had mine.
You are right though, our time will come...patience just isn't my strong point and age is not on my side either! I'm 43 this coming Saturday 😖

I know what you mean! When you get a BFN it’s like why the hell did I waste this money for no reason?? I haven’t got any tests at home so I’m going to try wait as long as my patience allows before going to buy any more.
I can’t imagine what you and @jasmineh went through with your mmc’s, must be such a tough time xxx

@Foundmyfeet hahahaha!!!! That’s how I feel about her pregnancy though! It’s the jealousy!!! I just couldn’t believe it!
How long have you been ttc for? Omg imagine a bfp for your birthday, my everything is crossed for you!🤞🏼
@Mariex1989 It’s the most painful both physical and emotional thing I have ever been through. It felt like my world had just crumbled💔

I was convinced AF was coming but nothing and (sorry TMI) but today I’ve had a load of white cm which I’ve never had at this stage in my cycle. Not sure what to think of it. Most likely just clinging onto any symptom (don’t even know if it is a symptom tbh) 😂.

So glad I don’t have any tests in the house otherwise I know I’d be taking on.

How’s everyone getting on?

@Mariex1989 how many dpo are you? It’s a good sign you thought she was coming but still only cm!!!!!

@jasmineh one app is saying 9dpo and the other is says 12dpo. If AF hasn’t arrived by the weekend I’ll get a test I think. Going to hold off as long as possible cos I’m scared of another BFN 🙈😂

@Mariex1989 Omg! Yeah I don’t want to see bfn either!! I didn’t use opks this month but in my head I’m 9dpo after feeling ovulation pains and cervix position!! But could slightly less obviously!

@jasmineh I think having AF arrive is easier then seeing a negative test.
When did say you were going to test? Monday was it?
I’m having a busy weekend last minute Christmas shopping so that’ll keep my mind off it hopefully. Luckily my mums in my bubble too and coming over so that’ll stop me POAS x

@Mariex1989 I have a busy weekend too but it’s my OH’s birthday Sunday and I’d love to surprise him with our rainbow baby😩 when is your period due? I’m so tempted to test tomorrow morning. Ahhhh I know it’ll be negative but!!!!! So hard x

@jasmineh if going by the last cycles I’ve taken conceive plus on, it’ll be due Friday. Otherwise anytime up until Christmas Eve. She likes to tease me and show up anytime in that week :p. What about you?

Maybe just do an early response one? And then if it’s positive that’d be great birthday present! But even if it’s negative then don’t feel slumped it’ll still be super early and time to turn into a BFP

Just been looking back at my app and what symptoms I’ve put in in the past. Like clockwork I’d had sore PMS boobs starting a few days after ovulation but nothing at all this month. Maybe I haven’t ovulated this month
