@SunnydazeQ thanks for tagging in! I so hope we see lots of Xmas BFPs! CD8 for me today which means SMEP plan begins! I also have another acupuncture today. She’s recommended twice a week until ovulation as I’m not ovulating until around cd19 usually.

Are you taking the Chinese herbs in a tea? It tastes awful! X

Fingers crossed for some festive positives!

Currently on CD4, cycle 2. It's going to be a long one as my cycles are between 32-36 days so I'm looking at potentially finding out after Christmas and before new year..let's hope for some good news to kick off 2021!

Has anyone ttc over the festive period before? What an awkward time to have the tww, over Christmas and NY. We've been married over a year now and I feel like people will be watching to see if I will be drinking. Although being in tier 3 will make this easier I think.

I placed my amazon order yesterday, getting all prepped. Ordered another box of OPKs, some more well man conception vitamins for DH, some seven seas ones for me, and also ordered some conceive plus fertility lubricant, has anyone tried this before?

The vitamins were in the Black Friday sales for anyone needing any :)

@SRyellow I would love to hear your experiences of acupuncture. I'm new to ttc so don't really know about the benefits of it etc. Might give it a go in the new year if this cycle isn't successful

@Raffie13 I’m only on my second session today but I will definitely keep you posted. If nothing else the first session was really calming and I definitely felt less tense. I have really cold feet so she’s also trying to boost circulation which is supposed to be good for fertility.

Ah good look , my af due around 9th ( cycle this month and was a day late and then i dont know when I ovulated either ! ) so hopefully we might get some good luck before this crap year is done 🙏 xxx

Hi All

I just wanted to come on and share my journey, I am 28 and had been TTC for a year and a half without any luck, these forums are what I searched when I was looking for answers and all I could find were mostly people like me asking questions or women who seemed like they were pregnant but never came back to share or give advice, so I would like to tell my story in the hope it helps someone else!

After TTC for well over a year we decided to give it a break as you know it was starting to be very upsetting. We left it a few months then I decided to buy ovulation sticks off Amazon, I got the little cheapies and then spent £45 on the clear blue ones.

I had started taking the cheapy ovulation sticks about after a day my period ended..(my cycle 27 days) this was because I had heard that some women can ovulate early and in fact miss there ovulation period if they are going by the normal 14day guideline, anyhow, i actually started ovulating on day CD11 but it didn’t peak until CD14, I hear TTC the before CD14 because it’s better if the sperm is waiting for the egg. So we DTD on CD9, 11, 14,16. In the cheapy pack on Amazon you get some HCG strips also, I started testing on 7DPO for pregnancy, nothing out of the ordinary, sleeping fine, eating fine, boobs abit sore but I’m always like that before my period.. , so around 11 DPO, I could see a little faint line, I mean you would need to squint to see it, didn’t think much of it. 12 dpo I tested around 6:30 am, that faint line got a little darker, but this time it made me wonder, I tested again on 12DPO at 14:00 and there it was, not a bold line, but was clear to see. We then got a Clearblue digital and it confirmed 2 weeks pregnant. Me and my boyfriend are completely shocked and overjoyed! I don’t think the strips are a coincidence, I made sure I tested a few times a day and tested early to make sure I wasn’t missing it, after a year and a half and not trying the strips we feel like fools! But everything happens for a reason I suppose, but I want my information to help someone so that’s the reason I created an account and shared. If I knew how to add pics I would send my ovulation stick app on for everyone to see what they looked like but I don’t know how to attach pics but good luck to you all out there and il nosey in here every so often in case someone wants to ask me a question Xxxx

@SRyellow no I got tablets instead but I'm not taking any at the moment. I'm the same with cold feet so wear comfy socks while I'm at home. Also no cold foods from the fridge. I had to learn to not put ice in my smoothies hahaha

@Raffie13 accupuncture helps you relax and I for one sleep while I'm there which is soooo nice.

@SparkyLauz is that when AF is meant to be due? I'm a day earlier on the 9th.

@mrsmumsy00 welcome!! Seems a few of us a due around the same time. :) Hope its BFPs as that's the only Christmas present I'm sure we all want :)

@Doveyy92 congratulations! And thank you for sharing! This is only my second cycle, used the ovulation strips last month but was unsuccessful. You've given me reassurance that I'm on the right track :)

Currently 3DPO.....only 11 days to go 🙈 I promised myself no early testing and no symptom spotting this month.

We completed SMEP today but does anyone know why you do the last day? Surely the egg would have hopefully met the sperm (or vice versa) from the 3 days DTD positive OPK? Or is it a final hurrah if you ovulated later ? Confused about that; however really liked the whole SMEP so will be doing that from now on.

26, DH 32, TTC our first, but his second. We’re on month 11 and I honestly didn’t think it would take us so long as his DC was conceived “accidentally” after a few months of a new relationship! 😅 we’ve had private fertility checks and everything is as it should be so hopeful it’s just a waiting game.

CD30, of a usually 32 day cycle but for some reason I ovulated on CD21 this cycle! So will be around 34 day cycle I think. We didn’t get to DTD much around ovulation due to DH having a tooth out so not feeling too hopeful for the next few days so will be onto month 12!

Hi all.

Hoping to get my BFP for baby number 2 in December. I actually have two chances since my next AF is due on the 3rd and the one after that due on the 31st. Although we only dtd once this cycle and it was on the day after my fertile week (we have an 11 month old)
I got my BFP in 3 months 5 cycles last time and ended up getting bfp in March so have a Christmas baby already. Would love a September one this time round but I understand that you don't get to choose.
Hoping that we get loads of positives on the thread. Two years ago when I was trying I remember testing on Christmas Eve getting a bfn and being so disappointed then af turned up on Christmas day but it all worked out in the end and I bought loads of pate and deli meat so as soon as I knew I was out it was drinking and pate o clock!

Hi there I am new to this hope you don't mind. Im 29 with a 9yr old son, i am currently on 5th month ttc. My cycle is 29 days like clockwork most months. I use the CM method of tracking ovulation and currently in my fertile week, today being the big O day. Safe to say my partner is sick of being pestered for his daily contribution haha but needs must. Due AF around 11th Dec so keeping fingers crossed 🤞. Good luck to everyone on their journey x

@Raffie13 thank you for replying, I would say your definitely on the right track if your using the strips, I really thought I was more confident on when I was ovulating with them, bloody fantastic things 😂 turns out for a year I was trying too early, so they definitely give you a better insight. The ones I bought had an app to record it all which was great! Joining the bus! Ive had a name change from bmeggar for those on the Nov bus.
We're not 'trying' this month...but still temping and had unprotected sex already...so essentially still trying, just not very hard! 🤦🏼‍♀️🤣 I just figure, if it happens randomly then that's amazing, but if it doesn't then I can have a lovely boozy Xmas and focus on the fam I've got 🥰
How is everyone feeling today? I put my tree and decs up this arvo 🙌 Something about doing that, listening to Christmas songs and having a ludicrously strong g&t is seriously good for the soul. 💜 Sending (a teeny bit merry) positive baby vibes to you all 😘x

Hi @gracie2307 how are you doing? Great you've got to High Fertility today. You BD from static smiley for 3 days. I think this is why I like this method more than what CB says to do as I've had 5 days High Fertility for the past couple of months so BD'd 8 days in a row last cycle 🙈 But for SMEP you only do 3 days in a row from your positive OPK.
