Welcome @charlxx 🤗 Hope you are well! Im sorry about your CP. Fingers crossed December is your month! Xx

BubsNumber2inTheMaking · 01/12/2020 06:58

Hey @gracie2307 I'm ok thanks. On countdown to Christmas now though that's for sure!
Apparently the doctor can prescribe a higher strength azelaic acid but I use this one: theordinary.deciem.com/product/rdn-azelaic-acid-suspension-10pct-30ml it's out of stock through the ordinary directly but I still managed to find some online last time I bought it. My routine is I use a very gentle wash, do a double cleanse, then cover the acne-prone areas with the azeliac acid (it's like a creamy lotion), let it soak in for 20mins then use a light moisturiser. I've been using it for about a month and it did take a few weeks of crap coming out of my skin but the overall texture of my skin is now 80% better and I'm having far fewer break outs. I only use the azeliac acid before bed because my skin is sensitive but it does say you can use am/pm.
I've been on the dreaded accutane twice. First time was a bloody miracle cure for about 3 years, then it came back. 2nd time it helped a little but side effects too much so I went on Dianette bc which is amazing but docs don't like you to stay on it that long. Yasmin sent me totally nuts so I'm always wary about trying new bc now. But each time I come off Dianette my skin gets terrible again so it's tricky! I try and follow a reduced carb/reduced sugar diet which definitely helps too. I find TTC the hardest bit with my skin as such few things you can do to help it! At least once pregs you have a bit of acceptance about the situation and know it won't last forever. Oh well! At least masks do a good job of hiding my jaw! 🤦🏼‍♀️
Sorry, that was a bit of an essay! 🙈 Hope you're ok anyway. I know what a confidence knock acne is 😭xx

Cienega · 01/12/2020 09:46

@Diddy28 I used the clear blue digital opk tests for the first time this month with some cheapies also, the clear blue were awful. They didn't pick up my peak, my cheapies were saying peak but the CB test has blank circle. When I ejected the test stick I could see that I definitely was on peak, the test line was darker than the control line so maybe that's why it couldn't read it properly. I used three over the two days and only one CB test was correct with a static smiley. I'd be wary of them and you could miss your peak. I'd say to everyone when they get a blank circle to always eject the test stick and read it that way too to double check

Cienega · 01/12/2020 09:55

Thanks for inviting me over! Thanks @MgW1 for coming to get me, i was still on the other thread 😂
Think I'm 6dpo today, im managing to not pay too much attention to the tww this as I drove myself mad last time! The only symptoms ive noticed is mild cramping, mainly one sided. I'm not thinking anything will come of this month we only dtd once and it was two days before peak so not the highest of chances. I'll enjoy some booze at chrimbo instead ☺️

Huge congratulations @PurplePops
And @Mumtoalittlegirl!! That's fantastic news and great excitement for Christmas!! Xx

ACNass · 01/12/2020 13:15

@Cienega I had the same experience with the CB ovulation tests. It has never picked up one of peaks correctly but the cheapies have been right every time. So now I just stick with the cheapies. I'm glad I clued in pretty quickly otherwise I would have been missing my peaks for the last two months

TtcIAm · 01/12/2020 13:44

Hi can I join please c1 cd7 ttc baby number 2. Just come off the patch but had two period in 2 weeks with a 3 day gap 😂

Diddy28 · 01/12/2020 16:12

Thanks @Cienega there is so many mixed review isn't there! I had my blank circle yesterday and then static smiley today so completely slipped the flashing smiley stage. Did a strip OPK test and it was so high peak so I think it has been correct today. Hoping it's my month! 🤞🏻🤞🏻

Cienega · 01/12/2020 16:21

Yep @ACNass the cheapies were spot on for me everytime, will defo be sticking with them.

Cienega · 01/12/2020 16:24

Just curious....those ladies who got their bfp 's, were you checking your cervical position, or has anyone who fell pregnant in the past found it to be a reliable way to determine whether you were pregnant or not?

Cienega · 01/12/2020 16:27

I seemed to skip the lead up and went straight to peak too this cycle! Fingers crossed for you! 🤞🤞

Cienega · 01/12/2020 16:28

Sorry @Diddy28 I forgot to tag you in my reply above ☝️

Bluepolkadots42 · 01/12/2020 20:04

Aaaayone got any suggestions on how to get out of the post BFN/pre AF slump? I am in an utterly foul mood and cannot snap out of it! AF due tomorrow- which is no doubt why my mood is partly so bad due to general PMS but also it's the BFNs. I've tried wine but it hasn't worked and I can't have more than a glass or I'll struggle to get up for work tomorrow!

BubsNumber2inTheMaking · 01/12/2020 21:43

Totally know what you mean @Bluepolkadots42 ! I always find watching some comedy or a funny film helps, or even a properly emotional film that makes me cry my eyes out and think how lucky I am. Mood is all about perspective. If all else fails, I crawl into bed early and give up! Tomorrow will be a brighter day! 💜xx

ACNass · 01/12/2020 23:47

@Bluepolkadots42 I had a horrible 2 days this past cycle after my bfn but before AF. Nothing really helped. It was mostly hormones but also bummed about the bfn. I just let myself sulk. Was on the couch watching movies, cried when my body wanted to cry. After the two days I felt much better and more like myself. It will definitely pass. But I definitely endorse wine, chocolate, movies and taking it easy :)

Katiecorn · 02/12/2020 12:17

Congratulations @PurplePops and @Mumtoalittlegirl pleased for you both. I'm not due on until 11th Dec trying so hard to not think about it so as not to put stress or pressure on myself but finding it hard haha. X

Sunflowers81 · 02/12/2020 15:07

Huge congratulations @PurplePops and @Mumtoalittlegirl, amazing news!
Did you do anything different this month? Did you feel any different in the 2ww this time?

Welcome @charlxx, so sorry to hear about your chemical. Hoping this month brings a sticky bean.

@Katiecorn I'm due the day before you, 10th, and finding this 2ww really hard! It's lasting ages, I'm only on day 6!

Katiecorn · 02/12/2020 16:08

@Sunflowers81 oh really 😊 I am only on day 3 😫 not sure I'm going to cope. Any techniques for helping to not think about it would be great haha. Good luck to you x

BubsNumber2inTheMaking · 02/12/2020 16:17

Another month, more confusion 🤦🏼‍♀️
We weren't going to 'try' this month but then I seemed to have a really high sex drive so have ended up dtd 4 times. I carried on temping all month as I thought it would be useful info for future. My app predicted ovulation as tomorrow, I had a temp dip this morning but opks for the last 5 days have all been low. App has now updated to say ovulation is in 2 days (after the opk I did this arvo). But I'm currently sat here with lower stabbing abdominal pain which I think is likely ovulation pain?
Very confused. When does ovulation pain occur? When ovulating? Or before? 🤷‍♀️

Bluepolkadots42 · 02/12/2020 16:24

Thanks @BubsNumber2inTheMaking and @ACNass all very good suggestions. Will definitely be on the wine come Friday Wine
It's just the worst feeling tbh. And to add insult to injury today AF is due and so far no signs of her arrival... It just feels cruel when AF is late but the BFN writing is on the wall!!

Bluepolkadots42 · 02/12/2020 16:26

@BubsNumber2inTheMaking what OPKs are you using? That is confusing... I don't temp but you would think the temping would line up with the OPKs... Do you do your OPKs twice a day once Ov is near? I've also read (although not sure of accuracy) that for OPKs afternoon is best time to test.
My ov pain always happens after I start to register a decent line on my OPKs, usually 24hours after.
I know CM isn't the MOST reliable indicator but EWCM tends to happen for most during fertile window so perhaps that could help try and work out what is happening?

Mumtoalittlegirl · 02/12/2020 16:27

Huge congratulations @PurplePops and @Mumtoalittlegirl, amazing news!
Did you do anything different this month? Did you feel any different in the 2ww this time?**

Thanks so much @Sunflowers81

Too much information but we DTD loads early in my cycle (like just after my period ended) before ovulation (not actually on the day off). Then after that I got the thick CM so knew I had a good chance and was lucky with the timing. The 2ww thinking about it now I did have a heavy feeling and pain in one side. Tested loads but got the faint line on morning of 11 dpo (or was it 10? I posted a few pages back lol) And my boobs felt mildly sore/ heavy but not really painful about a week after ovulation but it didn’t go away like it usually does.

PurplePops · 02/12/2020 16:31

Thanks for all the congrats ladies, fingers crossed you all get your BFPs soon too💗

@Sunflowers81 it was only my 2nd month trying so not too much to compare to. I used OPKs and DTD around peak, took seven seas vitamins and had OH taking vitamins too. I was and am so shocked, I was fully expecting AF to arrive had a really bad headache which I always get before AF. Still not had any symptoms tbh, no sore boobs or anything, doesn't feel real xx

michone · 02/12/2020 16:40

Joining! Started TTC this month after a long wait! DD is Almost 9! Good luck to everyone

MiniBaker · 02/12/2020 16:44

Hi Everyone!
I’m new to this but really hoping to hear some of your experiences and hopefully get some advice and tips. Sorry if these questions have been asked a million times but we are keeping our TTC journey to ourselves for now as I can’t cope with people asking all the time but I am desperate to ask others questions about their experience.

My husband and I have been TTC for 8 months now with no luck, I am 29 and he is 27 - I haven’t drunk alcohol all year on the off chance and I really didn’t expect it to be such a challenge to get pregnant, I have a very regular cycle 28-30 days and have had bloods done with the doctor to check hormone levels and all came back normal and told I am ovulating. Some months I monitor my LH levels with OPK and have pretty predictable pattern of LH rise around the middle of the cycle. We DTD almost every day during fertile week each cycle (benefits of working from home) and other than that usually every few days. But still no luck.

The one thing I have never really noticed is the EWCM that I see mentioned online, is it common not to be able to see it? Could this be what is wrong? Also, I was previously on the pill for 12 years and came off December 2019 to prepare to conceive. Thank you for any advice - will be greatly appreciated. Each month AF arrives it gets harder and harder and I just wonder what is wrong. Good luck to everyone! :-)

Cienega · 02/12/2020 18:16

Hi ladies, a bit tmi but has anyone experienced thickish yellow cm in the tww?? I've heard people talking lots about white cm but mine for the last two days or so is yellow and it dries quite a dark yellow. I'm 7/8dpo AF due on the 9th
