Hey everyone!

I'm either 3 or 4 dpo and looking to chat to others for the hpt countdown nightmare.

I feel like I've bought a lottery ticket. Excited, hopeful, but ready for a great big nope too 😀

That's odd @Ginini! How long are you regular cycles again? What day are you on now if it wasn't a light period?? Abe you taken another her test at all? And also did you use OPKs to check when the ovulation happened?

Yeah I'm good thanks. Think we're going to follow the 'SMEP' plan this month, starting tonight, as it's my 8th day lol. We practically did it last month anyway, or may aswell have done. Got a basal body temp thermometer coming, not 100% sure on the point of it but I'm willing to try anything at this point, just keep shorting money at TTC lol.

Hope your all okay xx

rttcbabyno1 · 04/12/2020 18:50

Going to try that again😂

@Seasalt1984 nope I've done an embarrassing amount of tests 🙈 and I've got no symptoms either! The lights are lovely aren't they!

@rttcbabyno1 normally between 25-30day cycle, about day 43 I think if it wasn't a period! Day 16 if it was! I've not tested in a few days, don't see the point now, I'm just wasting my money! Nope we haven't used OPK's yet, I might try them tho, normally just go off CM!
You'll have to let us know how SMEP goes, might be another one to try!
I know, You think about costs of pregnancy/baby etc but not TTC 😂😂😂

Ginini · 05/12/2020 14:19

I also figured out that if I was CD16 I don't think I've ovulated as no egg white CM, who knows 😂 I think I'm broken 😂
I called the GP who just kind of said, wait a bit longer AF will come

Ginini · 07/12/2020 11:51

Finally I think AF is arriving!

rttcbabyno1 · 10/12/2020 16:54

Thank goodness @Ginini!!! At least you can look towards the next cycle. Usually I'd say sorry about AF but I think this time it seems like a good thing ❤️ hope your okay though!
My cycles aren't far off this one has been for you, it's annoying because you have to wait so long for the next one. I've been consistently 41 days ever since me CP in July/August... before that I was an average of 35 🤷🏼‍♀️

How's everyone's month going? My temping is going pretty interesting, first month doing it. I forgot to do it before I got up this morning though (damn it) DTD every other day and doing the OPKs too. Ovulation due the 18th apparently. Hoping the SMEP works this month 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻💕 xx

outback81 · 10/12/2020 20:30

Hi everyone!

Had a name change (vicki1990) took some time off Mumsnet whilst I had af, now currently 2dpo and in the dreaded tww again!

Started folic acid, vitamin b complex and vitamin c to see if it will help with my short luteal phase this month!

How are we all doing?

rttcbabyno1 · 14/12/2020 21:51

@Hollybeex
@WicketBasket how are you doing? How far in your cycles are you?

@Seasalt1984 how are you and your little bean? Any more pregnancy symptoms? Xx

Seasalt1984 · 15/12/2020 21:44

Hi @rttcbabyno1, we're doing ok thanks 😊 it's quite strange to just be waiting for things, you sort of expect something to be different but daily life is fairly unchanged! I do have some symptoms (sore boobs, emotional (!) and quite crampy) but not sure it'll feel 100% real until 12 week scan, so keeping fingers crossed all is well then. How are you doing this month? Feeling ok?

You mentioned SMEP a couple of posts back, I meant to say I did this for a couple of cycles inc the one we conceived... think it helps with timings definitely, essentially it's just lots of sex before and during ovulation!

@outback 81 fingers crossed for you that vitamins do their work and help with leuteal phase 🤞

rttcbabyno1 · 16/12/2020 12:15

@Seasalt1984 good to hear, I know what you mean about it not feeling real until you have been to the scan, I think I'd be the same! Something that you wanted so badly yet i bet it's wierdly hard to accept it's actually happened, especially when you don't feel much different! I bet your super excited for the scan though, once you've seen little bean then it'll all sink in! 🥰🥰 and then the rest of the symptoms will come I'm sure lol.

Oh yay good to hear about SMEP, my OPK is at peak today, we're our third DTD day, does that sound about right? so we've been doing it from the 8th day in my cycle and I started getting the LH come through on the OPKs on Monday, so we DTD mon, tues, then tonight also. I'm apprehensive about this skipping a day thing... especially if it's still peak tomorrow I'll feel like I'm potentially missing the egg! I know your supposed to ovulate within a day or two of a positive, so I guess it'll be ok. Hoping for it to fade a bit tomorrow otherwise I'll want to do it again!! Did you follow the 3 day on 1 day off, then 1 last time? Sorry for the ramble haha xx

Seasalt1984 · 16/12/2020 17:18

@rttcbabyno1 sounds like you're giving it a really good go this month! Will keep everything crossed for you. If this helps, a friend of mine who conceived through a fertility clinic was told that once she'd had her first peak OPK she didn't need to worry about continuing to test each day. So I reckon you'll be really well covered already for this month if you've had a few peak days.

No, we didn't do the "miss a day" one as were both pretty knackered. Last cycle we DTD days 6, 9, 10, 11, 13 (peak day), 14, 15. So not followed exactly, more in spirit! But I think the gist is lots of opportunities around ovulation. BTW I tracked this on the Clue app I haven't memorised 😂

Ginini · 20/12/2020 09:34

Christmas build up has been such a good distraction! How's everyone getting on?

Ginini · 20/12/2020 13:03

@rttcbabyno1 yeah I was very relieved for AF to arrive for one!
41 days is a long cycle! How have you got on this month?

@outback81 how is the 2WW going? Any symptoms? When will you test?

@Seasalt1984 how are you doing?

rttcbabyno1 · 20/12/2020 14:26

@Ginini Xmas has been a great distraction!!! I'm hoping (if AF stays away 🤞🏻) to test on New Year's Day, feel like that would be too good to be true though lol. 🤞🏻🤞🏻

I had my peak day at CD 21, so that means I'll be having a cycle of 33-35 which is what I was pretty consistently since pre CP. hopefully that means my cycles are back to normal now, hopefully that's a positive for the fertility too.

Hope everyone's okay! Youve all gone quiet! Xx

rttcbabyno1 · 20/12/2020 14:27

What's your method this month @Ginini ? You doing anything different? X

Ginini · 21/12/2020 12:59

@rttcbabyno1 ahh New Year's Day would be a lovely day to get a BFP! Fingers are crossed for you 🤞🏼 when is AF due?

To be honest I've been very laid back this month, too much going on so I thought I'd just try not to over think this month and just enjoy Christmas as best as we can this year, I worked Christmas Day last year so just excited to have it off this year! DTD around ovulation time still but with a lot less pressure which was a nice change! Will get back to business in January tho 😂

Seasalt1984 · 23/12/2020 11:09

Sorry to be sharing this...we've had some sad news unfortunately, this pregnancy is not a successful one. I was referred for a scan after a little bleed and I've had a MMC. Feeling very sad and just taking each day as it comes atm.

What I've found out having shared with a couple of friends, family and my manager is how horribly common this is. But what I also know is all these women have gone on to have healthy and successful pregnancies later on so I'm holding on to that whilst coming to terms with our loss. The strength and resilience women can have is inspiring and I'm drawing strength from this. We're made of strong stuff. I'm still on the journey with you ladies and wishing all of us all the luck in the world Flowers

Ginini · 23/12/2020 11:59

@Seasalt1984 I'm so so sorry for your loss 💐
It's nice to have shared with others that have gone through the same, I'm glad it's given you a little bit of comfort.
You're so right women are so resilient ❤️
Take your time to process and lots of self care,
Sending lots of love and hugs to you 💜

rttcbabyno1 · 26/12/2020 14:13

Oh @Seasalt1984 I don't know what to say 😞 I'm awfully sorry for your loss. Thank you for sharing with us. Hope your doing okay, and you have still been managing to enjoy your Christmas. Is this your first or do you have any others? You will have your happy ending, it just wasn't meant to be this time, sending lots of love and hugs to you 💝💝💝

Ginini · 01/01/2021 22:32

@rttcbabyno1 how are you getting on?

rttcbabyno1 · 03/01/2021 10:52

Thanks for asking @Ginini 😊 I've just finished my period, wasn't successful last month again. SMEP didn't work... apparently there's only 25% chance even if they did meet. Wondering whether to try it again this month or DTD less this month. It was really intense tbh we weren't a fan 😂 also wonder if the little ones had enough time to regenerate 🤔.
The first month when I had a CP we were pretty laid back and didn't do it every day around the fertile window. Oh it's so difficult to know what to do!
How are you doing? Xx

Ginini · 03/01/2021 12:36

@rttcbabyno1 sorry it wasn't your month! Don't do it again if was too intense for you, it'll just stress you both out! I know I don't know if there is a right way to do it, I always wonder if any of the methods actually make a difference or if it was gonna happen that month anyway!
My AF came a week early with vengeance on Christmas bloody day of all days! After a very long cycle I then had a very short one of 17 days, very confusing! I then had lots of egg white (ovulation type) CM start just two days after AF as if ovulation so DTD then too and I'll wait and see what happens! It's very confusing, I'm normally a little bit irregular (a few days) but not like this! Finding it all very frustrating!

rttcbabyno1 · 06/03/2021 16:29

Hi all!!
Hows everyone doing? Hope your all okay. 🌼

I'm still here and not pregnant. I've had a pretty horrific couple of months as my father passed away unexpectedly, so not a great time to TTC.
Trying to get pregnant still but I know with lots of stress it's not likely. I'm still focused on it, although didn't really try in January at all.

Xxx

Seasalt1984 · 06/03/2021 17:10

@rttcbabyno1 oh I'm so very sorry for your loss, what an awful thing for you to be going through. There are never enough words, but sending thoughts and hugs your way.

I'm doing ok after MMC which was "finalised", for want of a better word, in early Jan. I'm definitely out the other side now, although still catches me unaware some days. We're in cycle two of TTC post mmc, feeling fairly relaxed about it now (after a couple of wobbles) and just going to see what happens. Would be great to hear about how others are getting on too x

rttcbabyno1 · 14/03/2021 00:40

Thank you @Seasalt1984 , and thanks for taking the time to reply to me. It has been very difficult and It certainly wouldn't have been a great mix if I had actually managed to conceive before now (still haven't). I'm trying to concentrate on the future, being grateful for who I still have, whilst taking happy memories of my Dad with me 💗 I look at life so differently now, it's very precious.

I really can't imagine what you have been through, bless you ❤️ you are a very strong lady, it's amazing what we can go through as women and come out the other side feeling okay. Being relaxed is a really great place to be, it's happened before and it will happen again for you. Stay positive. Is this your first? Xx
