Hi loves,
I'm out of the game for the Oct bus so I thought I'd kick off November bus early so people can join if AF rears her ugly head.
Brief summary of me - TTC since Jan, mc in Sept, just finished first period after d&c and ready to get pregnant already!
I've got a 4yr old ds and really hoped to be pregnant right now so pretty fed up with the whole process but trying to keep positive. IT WILL HAPPEN.
Sending baby dust to everyone! Summer babes for us all round Smile

@gracie2307 hiya yeah all good thanks! Have you had a nice weekend?

Trying to keep as laid back at TTC as possible this month, CD7 of cycle 8 ttc I've got 3 opk sticks left which I will probably use this month and then I dont think I'm going to buy anymore and try and let it all happen naturally as I don't want to get totally deflated again. Heard so many people say that as soon as they stopped trying they got pg so thats my next method😂
Also going to try not to obbsess over my symptoms during my TWW as I feel like I've had all possible symptoms these last 7 cycles so they clearly have all been to do with AF!

SparkyLauz · 25/10/2020 15:39

@Sophss1990

I’m out for October too, got AF a couple days ago. Going into cycle 6, which I know isn’t too long really, I just never expected it to take as long as this! I think it’s because as a teenager I had it constantly drummed into me “if you have unprotected sex you WILL get pregnant!”. Now I feel a little cheated by all those years of contraception anxieties! Wishing the best of luck to everyone on their TTC journey
I'm totally feeling like that too @Sophss1990 feel like I should have come off the pill much earlier than April. Its so frustrating.😭
DJmum83 · 25/10/2020 16:12
@DJmum83 mine started at 4am with the 3yr old 🤪🔫 Needless to say he's now passed out in the sofa next to me 🤦🏼‍♀️ Hope you're having a more relaxing weekend! 😀
@Bmeggar

Mine started roughly the same I have 3 children and my youngest is a terrible sleeper, sometimes think what am I thinking having a 4th but always wanted to stop at 4.
How long have you been trying? Xx

Bmeggar · 25/10/2020 16:45

@DJmum83 🤣 they're a nightmare! But also the best 💕
I came of my pill a year ago, properly started trying in January but my periods were still a little long and unpredictable so I think we might have been missing ovulation at first. Then started opks and got pregs in July. Things went south with that one though and had d&c in Sept. Just had first period since and now ready to get cracking on bubs #2! 💪🤞👌
How old are your other children? I'm one of 4 but we had a big age gap - 16yrs between eldest and youngest..youngest was a mistake! My mum was 42 with that one! Good fun with a big family but exhausting!x

Hi. Please can I jump on?
TTC #1, cycle #5, currently 2DPO. Almost completely missed fertile window as ovulated early this cycle for some reason so only managed to DTD the day of ovulation and the day after. So there is some hope but part of me feels we got down to it a bit late. Anyway, aiming to test either 3rd or 4th Nov. Fingers crossed for some lovely BFPs this month x

Daisychain69 · 25/10/2020 20:26

Hey ladies, can I join? DP and I are both 30 and on cycle 1 of ttc #1. My usually regular 32 day cycle has completely gone up the spout this month and I've had another positive OPK on cycle day 36 🙈 I'm such a control freak this is whole TTC is clearly making me more anxious than I first thought! We've not told anyone IRL so will be nice to have some support! 💜

Hi
Sorry to hear you have had a bad time of it.
Really hope this is your month.

My other children are 4,6 and 8 2 girls then a boy.

It's hard work with 3 what's one more I keep saying to hubby Grinxx

Bmeggar · 26/10/2020 06:21

Hi @Daisychain69 !
Is there any chance you could already be pregs? Weirdly opks can be effected by pregnancy too. I was 2 weeks post my d&c but still getting positive pregnancy tests and peak opk tests for a week! 🤦🏼‍♀️

Hi @Sohe !
There's always a chance! 🤗 Friend of mine dtd once in a whole month and it worked for her. Keeping fingers crossed for you 🤞x

Hope you all had a nice weekend. Half term here and dh is off for the week so hoping it helps the tww go a little quicker. Said we'd be casual and see how it goes with ttc but now its here I'm obvs obsessed 🤪

Thanks for the welcome @bmeggar

@sohe you're similar to me, I think I possibly ov'd early this month and I'm planning to test around the 3rd

@djmum83 that's what I'm telling myself about a 3rd, already juggling 2, whats one more?!

Hi @Daisychain69 I feel like cycles like to do that when ttc, so annoying! Last month my cycle was 18 days instead of 27 🤨 have you taken a test?

Hi @SparkyLauz

How you doing? I had a wonderful weekend thanks! Very relaxing Grin how about you?

I dont blame you, I feel the same. Its so time consuming and then when you dont think about things, you remember what life is about etc. But I feel it all gets really hyper intense around the 2ww and that feeling of not knowing and then getting upset when you start testing from like 10dpo and keep getting a no. I am starting accupuncture next weekend in the hopes it will help! Xx

gracie2307 · 26/10/2020 12:57

Hi @Sunflowers81

How are you? How was your chilled weekend?
I am so glad I had a nice facial etc felt very normal in all the weird circumstances! What did you get up to? How are you finding things? Xxx

Sunflowers81 · 26/10/2020 13:42

Hey @gracie2307 I'm good thank you, how are you?
I'm really enjoying not currently being in the tww, as that was really hard!
Ooh a facial will have been lovely!
I'm going for a massage this evening, that will be so lovely!
My weekend was good, I needed some down time and got that yesterday, really chilled out with my boyfriend :-).
How about you? xx

Sunflowers81 · 26/10/2020 13:44

Hey @SparkyLauz I think your approach sounds like a really good idea! I'm going to try tracking this month, but if it makes me stressed I won't do it next month.
I don't know how to stay relaxed in the TWW though! Keeping busy maybe?

CookieMonster3001 · 26/10/2020 14:22

Hi Ladies, can I join? AF arrived this morning ending cycle #1. TTC #1. I am 33 years old and OH is also 33. Ovulation usually falls on CD12 so expecting that to be next Friday, but will be starting OPK testing from this Sunday. Fingers crossed this is our month! Baby dust to all! :)

SparkyLauz · 26/10/2020 14:32

@gracie2307 Good to hear! Yes I had a lovely weekend thanks! Met up with a few friends on Saturday for drinks and then yesterday went on a long walk with my DH and the dog then chilled after with Sunday lunch, couldn't get much better!

It is really time consuming I agree! I also think that after reading up on it a bit more that we have timed DTD slightly wrong and should keep doing it a few times past the positive O result day too rather than just the days leading up and the day of, if that makes sense?! So will try that this month but then I'm going to try cold turkey with opks after that.

I might also look into acupuncture. I keep debating with the idea of going private to get some initial fertility tests done to check everything is OK with me, not sure if its too soon though? Has anyone else looked into this?

SparkyLauz · 26/10/2020 14:36

@Sunflowers81 Thanks, I will let you know how it goes lol. I think yeah keeping busy during tww will help and hopefully make it go faster! Although I work with lil children so I'm always surrounded by babies and toddlers so its a bit more difficult for me to take my mind off it! X

gracie2307 · 26/10/2020 14:51

Hi @Sunflowers81

Your weekend sounds wonderful! Ooh lovely a massage will be nice Smile its so important to keep up with the self care especially after a stressful 2ww. My TTC book I was reading recommended a 'period party' so to ease some of the angst around AF by taking the time to pamper, watch trashy films and relax 🤣🥳 I thought it was quite funny! Xx

gracie2307 · 26/10/2020 14:57

@SparkyLauz That sounds perfect! 😊

That is interesting cause I probably followed a similar pattern like you by DTD every day four days before then on O Day then the day after, but I think we might generally try the 'every other day approach' and see how that goes cause I did have that worry that after a positive static smiley OPK that we just sort of stopped lol. Its so bloody confusing lol.

Yes I will let you know how it goes. Apparently refloxology can help too? Let me know if you find anywhere re private fertility tests as I would probably just pay to find out if we have no luck soon xx

Sunflowers81 · 26/10/2020 15:06

Welcome @CookieMonster3001! Fingers crossed for you for this month!

@SparkyLauz ooh being surrounded by children and babies would make it so much harder, I'm sorry to hear that.
How long have you been trying? What about homeopathy? I've been watching the fertility homeopath's vidoes on youtube, she has a lovely voice.

@gracie2307 I love the sound of a period party! I had a couple of brownies and a lovely hot bath. I watched Rebecca this weekend which is quite dark, but it kept my attention, which is rare!
I'm looking for something scary to watch on Saturday this week! I wanted to have friends over, but we are in tier 2 now so we won't be doing that. xx

Markygirl1995 · 26/10/2020 16:15

Hey everyone, first month hopefully of TTC baby 2. Maybe be difficult as I'm trying to lose weight to conceive. Currently BMI is 37 trying to bring it down for healthy and hopeful pregnancy

xK1991x · 26/10/2020 18:36

Can I join? TTC first month of trying for us, very scary but exciting too!

Together 13 years, married two of them with a five year old fur baby and we have decided to start trying this weekend. I’ve been taking wellwoman for a couple of months but if anyone has anyone has any vitamin suggestions, let me know 🙂

Fingers crossed for you all 🤞🏻X

SRyellow · 26/10/2020 19:20

Hi everyone, can I join the November bus? Cycle 5, ttc 1st baby. Currently at CD 7 and getting a positive opk but still faint. Ovulation seems to come and go when it likes! I’ve just started taking pregnacare care as I thought it was worth a try!

Daisychain69 · 26/10/2020 20:11

Thanks @Bmeggar and @Figarosbow I have done HPTs but they're negative so I'm going to rule myself out so I don't get my hopes up!

Daisychain69 · 26/10/2020 20:14

Hey @Markygirl1995 I'm in the same boat with BMI, you can definitely do it! My friend had a BMI of 41 when she had her surprise baby. She was really conscious throughout pregnancy had an incredibly straight forward pregnancy and delivery and only put in 3lbs the whole pregnancy with a 9lb 2oz baby 🙈 wishing you lots of baby dust
