Hi ladies,

This is for all of us with heart rate monitors who wish to help each other analyse the RHR patterns throughout our cycles.

Early research shows there's a correlation with increasing RHR and BFPs - so let's try and spot some together!

@LarasMama me too! Going to attempt the food shop today but with two kids in tow. Dreading it 🤣. He’s ok thank you. Molar is half through now! Yes fingers crossed for us 🤞🤞. I’m not sure, I’m thinking either ov yesterday or today. Will see what my BBT does in the next few days and wether I get some crosshairs. Wow look at that rise!! RHR is looking great. Our bodies are crazy aren’t they. It’s always such a guessing game! My HR is also unusually high for this point in my cycle! 65bpm today. It didn’t really drop to much when I got my strange AF!

I also did our food shopping yesterday but left dd at home with her dad. Last night her temperature went up to 41, now she’s a bit better. I ended up checking mine too and it was 37.2. Today it’s still at 37.1. As I have no idea about bbt, I don’t know what it’s supposed to be in the lp. I guess in the lp it’s always above baseline, right? Usually my body temperature is around 36-36,5. My RHR is now at 63. I guess I’m either 2 or 3 dpo. Did you end up checking if the OPK is now negative? @mumof23188

Hope everyone had a lovely Christmas 🎄

@LarasMama how are you doing? Hope DD is feeling better, such a high temp 😩. Yes your temp is always above baseline in LP. You can’t do it with a normal thermometer because you need one with 2 decimal spaces but if your temp is higher than usual that sounds positive ☺️🤞. How many Dpo are you now? How’s your HR? I’m 5dpo today 🥳. I got my crosshairs on FF on Christmas Day. Not much going on though. HR has been between 64-65.

Hey dear @mumof23188, hope you had a lovely christmas! 🎄😍

I’m good and dd is finally feeling better. If I did ovulate I should be 5-6 dpo. I’m not sure as OPK first turned positive Sunday night and turned negative Tuesday afternoon. My RHR has been unusually high at 65 now 64 - maybe because of all the sleepless nights. 🤷🏻‍♀️
Do you have any symptoms? What are crosshairs in BBT chart? My temp (ear) is still 37,1, maybe I should get a thermometer for BBT next cycle. 😊

@LarasMama was lovely but very quiet! We didn’t see anybody at all so felt a bit strange. How was yours? Ah so pleased to hear your DD is feeling better. Wow you had a super long surge then. Could be, sleep does affect your RHR but who knows for sure! It’s looking really really good 🤞. Such an amazing rise for you. The crosshairs are the red lines and that shows you have ovulated. It takes 3 days of higher temps to confirm it. Then your temperature needs to stay above the coverline. The coverline is the horizontal red line through the chart. Symptom wise I just have yellow cm! Way tmi sorry! Also my skin has really broken out. That’s about it so far, how about you? Any symptoms? Hopefully you won’t need a bbt thermometer 🌡 😊 I just checked my HR and it revised itself to 66 🤷‍♀️

LarasMama · 27/12/2020 20:27

@mumof23188 Our Christmas was a little stressful, because dd was still having a high temperature (41) and stopped eating and drinking. She started feeeling better yesterday evening thank God.
Your rise looks good too! And if you had normal sleep it’s more reliable than mine. I don’t trust my rise honestly. I think it’s because I didn’t feel ovulation so I assume it probably didn’t happen.
Now that you mention it, I have the worst breakout by my nose. I can feel it but can’t see it yet. I hardly ever break out and if I do it’s usually around my hairline close to my temples. I also have slightly yellowy creamy cm.
I really hope we get our BFP this cycle. And hey, we can assume we’re cycle buddies if I am 5 dpo indeed! 😇🥰

GlassLily · 27/12/2020 21:28

Well the effects of the Christmas wine had me reaching for a test today.... AF was due yesterday and RHR jumped. I knew it was probably just the wine but I couldn't stop myself from getting excited when AF didn't show. But, a BFN and I now feel AF on the horizon. That's the last time I drink alcohol around this time of month 🙄

Juno231 · 27/12/2020 22:12

@GlassLily ah I'm sorry, I've had that happen before as well!

@LarasMama with bbt it's key to measure the basal temperature right as you wake up and therefore before any external factors of being up and about kicks in. If 37.1 is higher than your normal then it could be a sign of you being in your LP but I def recommend a bbt thermometer if you're finding it interesting to track!

I'm cd8 now so haven't had much to report. Just waiting for FW to start in a few days time :) My RHR is definitely dropping a bit more than last cycle which is good - it did stay oddly high all of last cycle with no drop after AF showed!

@LarasMama oh how worrying for you. So glad she’s feeling better. It’s horrible when their poorly isn’t it. You just want to take it away from them. I got revised back down to 65 last night but it went up to 66 today! Don’t worry to much about not having ovulation pains. It can differ from the norm and like you say you didn’t have them when you ovulated with your DD 😁. I am the exact same, I get the odd one or two occasionally but my cheeks and chin are horrendous 😱. Yes we can be cycle buddies 🥰. Fingers crossed this our turn! When’s AF due for you? I think my chart is looking good so far 🤞

@GlassLily ahh I’m sorry for the BFN. It’s hard not to get excited when you see a good rise. Hope AF shows soon for you the onto a new cycle and another chance.

@Juno231 hi Lovely 👋 hope you had a nice Christmas 🎄 enjoy FW ☺️. That’s good it’s dropping, hope it gets back to baseline for you.

GlassLily · 28/12/2020 12:11

Still no AF 🙄 it's driving me mad. So annoying how AF symptoms and Pg symptoms are so similar.

LarasMama · 28/12/2020 13:04

@Juno231 Thanks for clarifying! I will look into it. Keeping my fingers crossed for a nice fw!

@mumof23188 Fitbit kept adjusting my RHR between 65 and 64, now it shows 64 for yesterday and 63 today. I’m assuming I am 6 dpo today and I feel like I am so out this month again. RHR dropped as low as 52 last night, so I am sure RHR will not stay elevated. 😒 Or the high RHR was really due to my inconsistent sleep the past week and is now regulating itself. AF is due on 2.1. as per Clue, that would put my LP to 10 days only. 🤷🏻‍♀️ When are you due? Do you have a feeling that this could be your month?

LarasMama · 28/12/2020 13:32

Btw, I’ve been meaning to share this. Implantation with dd was super early, maybe this is why I am so discouraged every time we hit 6 dpo and there’s no real symptom. I ovulated the night of 23/24.06. (confirmed by OPK only) and implantation must have occured on 28.06 by 4/5 dpo as my RHR went up by several bpm even during the night. Interestingly tho on 27.06. at 3/4 dpo crazy headache and nausea started and on 28.06. I had such horrible nausea I couldn’t stop throwing up for hours. So having a lp that tends to be shorter, I really hope to have an early implantation again...
Story time over 😊

GlassLily · 28/12/2020 23:41

@LarasMama this is interesting, thanks for sharing! I also have a short LP (usually 10 days) but started taking B complex this month and currently 13 DPO! Really pleased with that - although no idea where AF is, wish she would turn up so I can crack on with next month (I am sure she is on her way).

LarasMama · 28/12/2020 23:57

@GlassLily Vitamin B6 is great! I took it together with vitex and a simple B complex when we conceived dd. As dd isn’t fully weaned I’m going to hold out on using it for now. How many dpo are you now?

mumof23188 · 29/12/2020 09:07

@LarasMama how’s your HR today? It’s so frustrating when Fitbit keeps adjusting it! What has your LP been recently? I’m due on the 9th January! My HR dropped to 65 today so no longer feeling hopeful to be honest. I’ve had enough of the disappointment each month now so just trying to go with the flow and if it happens it happens. My temp did go up today though. That’s super interesting to see how much yours jumped and how quickly. I wonder if that’s a thing that if your LP is shorter that you implant early?

LarasMama · 29/12/2020 12:08

Hello dear @mumof23188! I was also thinking about just taking it a little easy with ttc. I don’t want to obsess over it. It only leads to unnecessary frustration.
At this point I am also sure I am out. My RHR is at 63 for the 2nd day in a row. Either the increase in RHR was really due to my lack if sleep or I am nearing the end of my luteal phase and on a downward trend. I assume I am 7 dpo today. I had a bit of cramping, which could be early AF cramping or just my digestive system. 🤷🏻‍♀️ LP has been between 10-13 days over the past 6 months. The longer lp of 13 days had several days of spotting prior to AF arriving. How about yours? How’s your cm? Mine’s still yellowish but looks like it’s drying up.

mumof23188 · 29/12/2020 13:35

@LarasMama yes it’s tough isn’t it, it’s hard not to be disappointed if AF arrives. Your rise is just so amazing! So frustrating!! Hopefully you aren’t on the downward trend. The trouble is we just end up wondering because there’s no way to know. I kind of like a bit of the wondering though. I’m ok with just waiting for it to happen. What will be will be 🥰. Your LP isn’t to bad then. Was it on the lower side when you were trying for your DD? Mine seem to be long and change quite a lot?! I’ll attach a pic from Premom of my last cycles. I seem to be having a bit of everything with my CM 🤷‍♀️

GlassLily · 29/12/2020 14:08

@LarasMama @mumof23188 I'm now 14 DPO and starting to worry 🤣 longest I've made it previously is 11 DPO, what on earth is happening.... I didn't take my B complex today in case something is wrong! I've had cramps for about 2.5 days now but still no AF. I took another test today as I'm amazed AF isn't here. BFN of course, not even a peep. I'm CD32, this is unheard of for me, send help! What do I doooo 🤣

GlassLily · 29/12/2020 14:09

PS. I only started taking B complex about 3-4 weeks ago!

LarasMama · 29/12/2020 20:28

@mumof23188 In a way ttc is quite exciting because we really don't know what is happening inside of us. Even though we now have so many tools to aid us, it'll never be fully up to us.
Do you think your longer luteal phases may have been due to chemical pregnancies? And it's interesting that your RHR went down but your temp went up. Does that usually happen? I would think they kind of correlate.
My LP before dd used to be even shorter due to low progesterone (8-10 days). Vitex and Vitamin B6 50 helped a great deal in lengthening it by a few days.
Yes, my RHR looked amazing, right? It's a little disappointing but I'm ok if it takes a little longer as we really weren't actively trying and only started last cycle. How many cycles are you in now?

@GlassLily I just looked at your chart again, how many dpo were you when you had that dip before it picked up again. Maybe that was an implantation dip? Is your vitamin B complex high in vitamin B6? Have you checked cm and cp? At some point we just really want some clarity, right?

mumof23188 · 30/12/2020 10:51

@GlassLily ahhhh so frustrating!!! Any news today?

@LarasMama yes I totally agree, the wonder is part of the fun. Ask me again in 6 months and I might of changed my mind 🤣. Yes quite possibly, I’ve had some faint lines. My HR went up to 66 today and temp went up again. That’s amazing that it worked lengthening it. It totally did look so good, how is it today? Think I’m 5 or 6 cycles now!

LarasMama · 30/12/2020 12:07

@mumof23188 That's good to hear that it went up again. Well, mine didn't drop as low last night, so my RHR should have increased by 1 bpm, but it didn't. I really don't know how the fitbit calculates the RHR. In any case, I'm continuing to experience dull AF type of cramping. Today I must be 8 or 9 dpo. I'm feeling more and more deflated. I guess next cycle I will try to dtd daily on the 3 days leading up to ovulation (if I get it right) and on the day of ovulation. I do find that stressful and not at all enjoyable tho.

mumof23188 · 30/12/2020 12:28

@LarasMama yes would like it to go higher though. Doesnt feel like a good rise as it was at 64 on ov day. Ive no idea either how they calculate it. The lowest mine went last night was 62! Sorry to hear you are feeling deflated 😩. It’s a rubbish feeling, you aren’t out yet though. You never know! Will you try bbt next cycle if AF shows?

LarasMama · 30/12/2020 13:31

@mumof23188 I would consider it, but I never get to sleep more than 3 hours, so I don't think it would work, right?
Mine was 53 at night. I also notice that my heart rate drops super low when dd nurses. I'm starting to think it could all be connected. 🤷🏻‍♀️

LarasMama · 30/12/2020 13:32

More than 3 hours uninterrupted that is
