Tracking your cycle and possible BFP using RHR - part 4

Hi ladies,

This is for all of us with heart rate monitors who wish to help each other analyse the RHR patterns throughout our cycles.

Early research shows there's a correlation with increasing RHR and BFPs - so let's try and spot some together!

@LV1987 its okay I don't mind, no it wasn't it was 59 days 🤦🏼‍♀️

Does anyone know what should happen to rhr when on your period ? Mines shot back up again this morning and was w bit conufused

LarasMama · 04/11/2020 09:03

@lucyrp which seven seas supplement do you use?

LV1987 · 04/11/2020 10:12

@lucyrp 59 days still, ouchie! I can't believe they haven't given you a referral yet, that's mad long still. My RHR drops below average for me just before AF arrives, and then increases a little while I am on, but only back up to about average for me (hope that makes sense!)

lucyrp · 04/11/2020 10:38

@LarasMama just the seven seas ttc tablets they're like £3-5 I think from Amazon or boots

@LV1987 yeah 59 days 😬😬 I've had 72, 47 and 59 so far this year after my cp, I should be hearing back about my referral now in the next two weeks and if not I'm going to ring to chase it up. Il add a pic of what mine looks like now. Its 79 and it was only 80ish after ov seems very high for af!

@LS2020 ah I completely get you but DTD before ov gives you the best chance 🤞. Not nice having the spotting, the things us girls have to go through! Thank you, I’m sure I did too and my bbt is just messed up from taking my temp late etc.

@lucyrp sorry AF arrived but also it’s great that it did. Surely it does mean you ovulated when you thought. Hope it plays ball this cycle 🤞

So no idea really how many Dpo but guessing 7 maybe! Here’s my charts. Finally had a rise in both!!

My rhr has just shot up another 3 bpm to higher than it was after ovulation ?! 😬

LS2020 · 04/11/2020 12:04

@lucyrp sorry to hear AF showed but glad you’ve found out either way. My RHR normally tanks but it can peak the day before almost like a last hormone push to get it to happen maybe?

@mumof23188 thanks had no blood since yesterday Eve so hoping stopped now 🤞🏻 What a lovely rise - good luck

Well I’m on the up but at 3dpo probably not too hopeful if already this high 🙃

LarasMama · 04/11/2020 12:28

@lucyrp Just looked it up. It’s a prenatal, right? I’m actually thinking about starting vitex.

Has anyone tried it? I used it last time I got pregnant.

lucyrp · 04/11/2020 12:40

@LarasMama I'm only thinking of using this as it's supposed to help regulate irregular cycles and shorten long cycles and I'm both so 😂 anything's worth a try for me

@LS2020 its so high today I'm rather worried but will try not to look at it too much

mumof23188 · 04/11/2020 13:23

@LS2020 wow look at your rise already 🤞🤞. Fingers crossed this is your month. Thank you ☺️. Now the obsessive behaviour begins 🤣

@lucyrp I’ve had similar to this before where it takes a few days to drop. Very frustrating and confusing. Is AF heavy?

lucyrp · 04/11/2020 13:24

@mumof23188 it is actually, wuite heavier than normal on CD1 🤷🏼‍♀️

mumof23188 · 05/11/2020 11:43

@lucyrp hope you are doing ok! Good news that AF finally arrived. Sorry it wasn’t a BFP tho.

How is everyone else doing today?

My RHR dropped to 61 last night annoyingly considering it hadn’t dropped below 70 all day! No idea how they work it out! It’s up to 63bpm today, had a dip in BBT but had an awful night of broken sleep due to a poorly DS. I also changed my CM from sticky to EWCM on CD11 to see if it changed anything and it’s given me solid crosshairs now for CD13?! Confusing!!

BFN here on CD33 and 10dpo (I think) so pretty conclusive unless I ovulated later than I thought (always possible) and missed it. I'm hoping AF is just around the corner though as I don't want another long cycle, I can't be bothered 😔 RHR seems to have settled at 61bpm now.

Moominmiss · 05/11/2020 14:32

@mumof23188 so are you going with what ff is saying in that it thinks you’re currently 7dpo or are you still thinking you ovulated a day earlier?

I’m currently 7dpo. Not feeling anything other than being bloated and have slightly sore boobs, but that would be normal for this time anyway.

mumof23188 · 05/11/2020 16:25

@LV1987 sorry you got a BFN 😩. 10dpo is still early. Fingers crossed it’s not another long cycle for you.

@Moominmiss I’m really not sure? I don’t think there’s much in it really. Had positive OPK CD11 then FF saying ov for CD13. Your chart is looking really good 🤞. I’m also super bloated and tender boobs, started feel nauseous today but I am exhausted so could be due to that. Also having white CM! I’m trying not to symptom spot this cycle and just taking each day as it comes. AF is due for me next Sunday apparently! When is yours due?

Moominmiss · 05/11/2020 17:08

@mumof23188 yeah that’s true, either way whether you go by your positive opk or ff you’re either 7 or 8dpo so barely anything in it.

Your symptoms sound good with the nausea and white cm. I’ve not noticed any extra cm.

Well I’m not sure when my af is due. I always seemed to have 13 day luteal phases before I started using OvuSense and temping, but then last month, my first month temping, so the first month I could really say that I 100% ovulated, my luteal phase was only 11 days long.
So I could be due af anytime from Monday to Wednesday 🤷🏼‍♀️
Fingers crossed for both of us. I’m trying to stay chill about everything but I’m desperate to poas.
When will you test?

mumof23188 · 05/11/2020 22:16

@Moominmiss yes there’s not much in it at all which is helpful. I’m so tired though so think that’s why I feel sick. It sort of comes and goes. They do say that you can’t rely on CM as it differs for everyone so I’m trying to ignore it.

Not to much longer to wait for you although everyday feels like a year In the TWW doesn’t it 😩. Hopefully this is your month. It is nice to know that ovulation has definitely happened. I agree, it’s so hard to stay chilled I am desperate to poas also. Had to stop myself from going to boots today 🤣. I’m not sure really, might test at 11dpo and again at 13dpo. I’m trying to hold out this time. What about you?

Moominmiss · 06/11/2020 07:52

@mumof23188 well I hope for you the nausea sticks around and ends up being an early symptom for you 🤞🏻

Every day definitely really does feel like a million years in the tww. The whole cycle is made up of different segments of waiting and wishing time away 😂

I would love to say I haven’t already tested but I tested late last night and again this morning, both bfn 🙄
I’d love to now be able to say I won’t test until 11dpo or 12, but in reality I’ll be poas again tomorrow as 9dpo was the earliest I’ve had a proper bfp before. So I’ll likely then just test like a crazy woman until I get af lol.

I was really hoping I’d wake up and get a huge spike in temp this morning but no, it went down slightly so I’m already thinking the worst anyway. I’ve attached it, but no longer as hopeful as I was. Oh well, possibly only a few more days to wait for af at least!

Good morning lovelies,

how’s everyone this morning?

@mumof23188 your symptoms sound promising. Keeping my fingers crossed!

@Moominmiss that’s so good to know that you ovulated. I generally use opks and get cramps. But my cm never stays consistent, so I don’t rely on that.

I’m 6 dpo today and my RHR stays steady at 62. Last night it dropped as low as 53 tho. I have dull cramping also. I don’t think this cycle is my cycle. I won’t even poas until after AF is due I don’t think.

mumof23188 · 06/11/2020 10:52

@Moominmiss thank you. I Have a bad headache today, woke up with it and it’s not gone away. It really does and you end up wishing your life away. It’s painful 🥺.

Ahh it’s hard to resist isn’t it, sorry for the BFN but as you know it is mega early 🤞. I would totally be testing if I had some cheapies but I haven’t got any tests in the house. I have ordered some but they aren’t coming until Monday. Your chart is still looking great, it’s still up there and nowhere near the cover line.

@LarasMama morning ☺️

Thank you! I’m not holding out hope but you never know. Do you usually get cramping In the TWW? It’s hard isn’t it when you get symptoms and don’t know wether it’s AF or pregnancy.

My HR has stuck at 63 today which is not great. It was initially 64 but it revised back down 😩

Morning (just!) all!

I'm down to 59 bpm at 11dpo (I think) so just waiting for the witch to rear her ugly head now, as I am usually 58 or 59 when I come on. I tend to have a 12 day LP, so not long to wait assuming I've guessed my dates right... Probably should stop guessing 😂🤦‍♀️ I have felt quite periody the last couple of days, but today, I feel fine... Which obvs means it will hit me full force tomorrow!!!

Good luck to those still hanging in there xx

Hi all could I join? I have a fitbit and when I got pregnant with DD2 I noticed my rhr rising, which was way back in 2016 Smile
We are now tentatively trying for our dc 3. I’m still slightly freaked out and scared about doing it all again but super excited as well. I’m also 36.5 - am I too old to do this all again Grin

LarasMama · 06/11/2020 20:10

@mumof23188 I totally understand. Like me, I'm not hoping. But you never know, right?! AF and pregnancy symptoms are just so similar, so you really can't know.

I seem to have gotten cramping the last two cycles, but generally I only get cramping right before AF arrives. But the cramping I experienced in my first pregnancy was very different, not this dull type of AF cramping. It was more like ovulation type cramps.

@MissBPotter Hello! I'm actually 38,5. I had my dd at 37, so I know if I'm gonna do this again, it has to be soon! Where in your cycle are you?

MissBPotter · 06/11/2020 20:33

@LarasMama hi! There is definitely a bit more time pressure after age 35 Grin I’m cycle day 7 so nothing much happening. I have short cycles (around 24 days at the moment), which I think is a sign of being a little bit older this time around.

LarasMama · 06/11/2020 21:19

@MissBPotter So true. But I try not to get too stressed about it. With my daughter I got pregnant within 2-3 cycles.

My cycles are also kind of short. My luteal phase is about 11 days long.
