Tracking your cycle and possible BFP using RHR - part 4

Hi ladies,

This is for all of us with heart rate monitors who wish to help each other analyse the RHR patterns throughout our cycles.

Early research shows there's a correlation with increasing RHR and BFPs - so let's try and spot some together!

I’m currently 8DPO today.
I have got cramps today and AF isn’t due until Friday or Saturday next week. My RHR is not usually over 68bpm at this point in my cycle and currently at 69bpm and on Thursday was at its highest it’s ever been. I’m cycle 2 since coming off the pill. I have tender boobs at the side and underneath and slight sensitivity on the nipples. I’ve had a cold since 4DPO which is still lingering and a cough.

Hi @lucyrp - In the settings there is the option to log custom data and a drop down menu in which you can find "resting heart rate"

Good luck with your tww

I used the easy@home hcg test stick and it was a bfn today but I am only 10dpo. The wait is so painfully slow.

mumof23188 · 02/11/2020 09:42

How’s everyone doing?

I’m still so confused. No idea what is going on with this cycle. I’m still testing with OPK’s but not had another positive yet so I’m taking it that I ovulated already. I think I totally messed up my bbt chart thanks to half term and lie ins 🤣. HR has stuck at 60 today! Rubbish!

@mumof23188 plodding on. Having a rubbish day today my rhr was down yesterday again but not sure what's happening today. 13dpo today and these are my charts

I finally got my confirmation of ovulation on OvuSense as well as fertility friend. It’s just nice and reassuring to see everything ties up and gives me the same results.
Heart rate up to 71 today too.

@lucyrp ah hope you are ok? I’m not great with charts, I hope this long arse cycle is over for you soon one way or another!

@Moominmiss glad you got your confirmation 👍🤞

lucyrp · 02/11/2020 13:52

@mumof23188 me too😫 if my period doesn't come and I don't have a BFP by Friday I think Ol start taking my seven seas ttc tablets. I'm even considering going on the pill for 3 months to try and sort myself out 😬

LS2020 · 02/11/2020 14:04

@lucyrp sorry to hear you’re not having much luck 😫 hope something shows for you either way!

@mumof23188 gosh what a nightmare our cycles have been! I did another OPK yesterday and had faded a lot so think I have ovulated. Had my smear today so have had to avoid DTD since yesterday am which is not great on O day but hoping we’ve done once a day for last 5 is enough 😂 RHR is on the rise for me and into TWW. Cycle will be 2 days longer than normal but means 2 days shorter than last month so looks like they returning to normal

mumof23188 · 03/11/2020 09:38

@lucyrp any news? Yes you may aswell start those, surely by Friday you will have an answer? That’s not a bad shout. It may help to get things regulated?

@LS2020 fab news you’ve had some confirmation and your cycles are getting shorter! Yeah 5 times before ov day sounds perfect 🤞🤞

I completely give up with this cycle. No idea what’s going on. Nothing showing on OPK’s since I had my peak on CD11.

@mumof23188 no AF and I haven't tested yet but might test later but I know it will be a negative now. My temp dropped to the cover line this morning and my rhr has dropped again now. I'm hoping AF will arrive tomorrow and that ovulation was definitely when I thought it was. Now the stress of the next cycle starts on trying to predict when ovulation is, I'm not sure how to even approach this cycle either as I want to try but how I can try when I don't know when ov will be and only know 4 days after 😬😫 going to take the seven seas for a couple of months first maybe until new year to see if they help while I'm waiting for my referral and then il ask about the pill

LV1987 · 03/11/2020 13:36

Hi ladies!

I've not posted for a while as everything was getting on top of me... But I'm back now, as I need a safe place to talk again. My last few cycles have been a more "normal" length, but still on the long side... Long story short, that plus the length of time I bleed and the amount of pain I am in when I do, has resulted in me being referred for an ultrasound (waiting on a date for this) and full bloods work up (which I had yesterday, and should get the results at the end of the week). I am not sure what will be worse, finding out that there is something wrong or finding out that there's nothing wrong and I just have to live this way 🤷‍♀️

Chart attached... I am CD31 today, and think I'm in line for a 36 or 37 day cycle, although I haven't used OPKs (stressed me out too much!) and am relying on one appearance of EWCM (which could well have been jizz 🙊) to guesstimate this. The date line on my chart points to the EWCM day.

@Juno231 @lucyrp I'm sorry to see that you are both still trying too - but also glad see a few friendly faces ❤️

Hey @LV1987 I hope you get some kind of answer though 🤞

LV1987 · 03/11/2020 15:38

Hey @SarahTTC2020 you're still here too, another name I recognise ❤️

Juno231 · 03/11/2020 16:04

@LV1987 nice to see you again! I hope your tests will give you some answers as your status quo does not sound nice :( I'm indeed still here, cycle 11 now. Done all the tests and there's nothing wrong with either myself or OH so just need to plod along. I think come the new year I might give IUIs a go as they seem to work best for couples with nothing obviously wrong with them.

Hey all, just coming to say hi. I’m 3 dpo today and there’s nothing out of the ordinary going on here. RHR has gone up by 1 bpm so far.

I wonder tho, how high does it usually go after ovulation if pregnancy has not occured? Do you notice a big rise and then sudden drop once AF arrives or does it just go up by 1-2 bpm until the end of the luteal phase?

SarahTTC2020 · 03/11/2020 16:49

Just sharing this for anyone looking for bfp rhr like I was!
Red cross is ovulation, then a rise and then green cross was implantation dip. Then I had steady rise to Bfp.
Other pic shows this last month, rhr has gone back down to what it was pre pregnancy but I had a scan 2 days ago and lil bean was in there with a heartbeat and I'm 9 weeks.
So don't think your HR has to just stay high 🙏 FC for you all xxx

LV1987 · 03/11/2020 17:07

Thanks @Juno231... I am already starting to worry that I will not understand the results of my tests, and I can't bare the thought of not having the control! I have spent the last 4 months or so feeling so despondent each month though, that I was ready to put the whole thing to bed before speaking to the docs.

lucyrp · 03/11/2020 17:18

@LV1987 hey yes I'm still here unfortunately!

Juno231 · 03/11/2020 17:37

@LV1987 we're here for you if you need help interpreting them! If it's endo then there's a few girls on my other bus that have it and have lots of info to share on it ♥️

@LarasMama I'm sure it's dependent on the person but my rhr usually rises by like 6bpm or more during the LP. Eg on a good month (aka where I'm not singlehandedly supporting the wine industry), I could have a pre o rhr of 60 and a post o rhr of 70.

Juno231 · 03/11/2020 17:52

CD8 and RHR is playing ball by being low as expected :)

@Juno231 That’s interesting. Mine goes up by a few bpm the most when I’m not pregnant. When I got pregnant with my daughter, it was the only time that it went up significantly. I think she also implanted super early and I had a super quick increase in RHR.

@SarahTTC2020 Congrats! ☺️

LS2020 · 03/11/2020 19:56

@mumof23188 thanks, bit worried as we’ve not DTD afterwards as I’ve had a bit of spotting after my smear. Thought it had finished when I woke this morning but just had some more 😫 2dpo now hopefully. RHR static.
I think you did ovulate CD12 so try not to worry lovely

LS2020 · 03/11/2020 19:56

@SarahTTC2020 glad your scan went well 💕

lucyrp · 04/11/2020 07:34

Af arrived for me in full force over night so hoping that means I ovulated when I thought I did as that would make me 14dpo yesterday and expecting af today. 🤞🏼🤞🏼 going to start taking my seven seas today and see how I get on. Hope everyone is well

LV1987 · 04/11/2020 08:56

Aw sorry @lucyrp that sucks 😔 was it a relatively normal length cycle this month though?

I've dropped another beat today, so think I will be joining you soon!
