Ha! @M4v3r1ck. I’ve just replied to you on the other group! Was catching up on it first and then came over to this one and seen your post. Hope you are ok x

thislittlebird · 19/01/2021 20:39

@MgW1 ugh everything and nothing all at once. I had a large benign lump found in my breast ten years ago, scans and the potential for what they’ll find make me anxious so I can’t wait to get it and the results over with Confused

Kitekat81 · 19/01/2021 21:07

@M4v3r1ck we've been trying for 9 months, in that time I've had 9 regular cycles and 1 random anovulatory one. We've timed dtd to ovulation in all 9 of the good cycles and have had zero result so far 😔

@MgW1 "it starts with the egg" suggests to get your Vit D level checked and then supplement accordingly. I haven't had my level checked (it's not a standard nhs check) so I'm taking 3000IU + whatever is in the 7 seas prenatal. It's way more than the nhs guidelines say to take, but quite conservative according to the book - apparently some people are so deficient they need 10,000IU.

@thislittlebird I had the transvaginal scan last week. It's not scary or uncomfortable at all, but very informative. They look at your uterine lining (mine was 11mm, which is good) and they count your antral follicles (I had 6, which is not good). Try not to worry in advance, just wait and see what they say on the day x

GuessHowMuch · 19/01/2021 21:38

Sorry to hear about your scan anxiety @thislittlebird; totally understandable given your previous experiences. I had my scan yesterday and although I started off quite calm they took much longer doing the internal ultrasound than I thought they would and began to feel really worried. They were great though and told me they can’t see anything obviously sinister and will get results via my GP. Fingers crossed you get some quick and reassuring results when you for for your scan.

@M4v3r1ck so annoyed about my AF. Still no sign. I got my strongest ever result on an OPK earlier (although still not a positive result) so got a bit excited and tested - BFN. Starting to think maybe the mid-cycle bleed was actually a light AF in an annovulatory cycle and I may be middle of a new cycle. Any update on your cycle returning?

Was there someone else with a missing AF? @Marvellouslymadmum was it you? Any sign of AF yet? So annoying when cycles don’t behave!!

Marvellouslymadmum · 19/01/2021 22:45

@GuessHowMuch yes that was me and no sign af is still off on her hols somewhere! I'm cd50 now and 21 days late lol I spoke to the doc yesterday and she was quite surprised so has booked me in for bloods next Tuesday to test for hcg as she thinks that's still the most likely cause! I'm more sceptical 😂 she said they'll check for early menopause whilst they have my blood but it's unlikely to be that and shes not worried about anything nasty which is good! So just more waiting for me one week for test and another for result 😖

thislittlebird · 19/01/2021 23:56

Thanks for the reassurance. Hopefully the time will fly past.

@GuessHowMuch I’m glad they gave you an initial idea. Was this NHS? I hope the nurse who does mine reassures me if it’s looking ok because I’m going to be a mess if left to catastrophise for another 10 days after the scan (couldn’t get an earlier consultation slot because my husband is working on the other dates they offered).

Did they tell you about your lining and follicles on the day/time of the scan @Kitekat81? I wasn’t expecting that really. I have no idea how many follicles and how much lining is good or not because I haven’t looked into it, I guess I should do that.

Kitekat81 · 20/01/2021 11:02

@thislittlebird did you say you are having your scan as part of a private fertility consultation? If so then yes I think they'll talk you through the results while they are doing the scan. Mine was an nhs fertility consultation and it was the doctor herself who did the scan, she showed me on the screen what she was looking at. If yours is NHS I guess it might vary depending on where you are, in some places they might refer you to a different department for the scan and then discuss the results with you when they come back. Please try not to worry in advance! Just wait and see, they will explain your results when they see them, and then you can take that information and look it up afterwards if you want to. It's better to do that than look up in advance all the possible outcomes and worry about which one it will be! ☺️

thislittlebird · 20/01/2021 12:36

Yeah I’m going for a private scan and AMH test @Kitekat81 because still having to redo nhs tests but the private consultation isn’t until about 10 days later (we couldn’t do earlier). So I’m anticipating being anxious while I wait, hoping they do tell me something good to stop me stressing because it would help me a lot.

Pamparam · 20/01/2021 13:15

Good luck ladies with scans and tests.
Any ubiquinol/ne brand recommendations, anyone? It seems pricey but also quite variable online. Is it 200mg recommended in your book @Kitekat81? Thanks!

Kitekat81 · 20/01/2021 19:41

@Pamparam I get this one:

www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00LFVDK1E/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_fabc_lBicGbTQC5NCD?psc=1&_encoding=UTF8&tag=mumsnetforu03-21

Yes from memory the basic plan in "it starts with the egg" is 200mg.

M4v3r1ck · 20/01/2021 20:01

@MgW1 yay to healthy organs! 😍😍😍

@Pamparam I bought the Nutrivita 200mg CoQ10 tablets! 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻 it helps lead to a healthy BFP!!!

@thislittlebird sorry to hear about your past experiences! I hope the scans etc go well! Waiting is the absolute worst!!!

@Kitekat81 it just seems so extra frustrating when you know you've caught the right timing! It's gonna happen for us all though! 😘😘😘

@GuessHowMuch why are our bodies driving us mad?! 🤦🏻‍♀️ It sounds like it could be a random short cycle as you say? 🤔 I'm still feeling like AF is coming and have this weird super light spotting - it definitely feels like it's not MC bleeding though anymore! The problem is all this TTC etc just makes me so impatient! 🤦🏻‍♀️

@Marvellouslymadmum any sign of AF yet for you???

Happy hump day ladies! 😃 Especially to anyone in their fertile week!! 😈🤪🤣

Happyhappy37 · 20/01/2021 20:52

Hello ladies

Am here in the background having what I think is a mid life crisis 😂.

Sending positive energy to all who is having a rough time.

🤞🏽🤞🏽🤞🏽 Crossed for all these vitamins and supplements to boost our fertility.

GuessHowMuch · 20/01/2021 21:39

My scan wasn’t quite so great as I thought (wasn’t sure whether to share as I don’t want to freak you out @thislittlebird). They sent the report across but I haven’t spoken to the doc yet . All suspected but looks like fibroids and cysts on both my ovaries and uterus. No idea what it means for my fertility but I’m presuming it’s not super great news 😅 I’m so sorry if I’ve made you feel more anxious LittleBird.

@M4v3r1ck I’ve lost track - have you had signs of ovulation since the mc? Could it be implantation?

Happyhappy37 · 20/01/2021 22:12

@GuessHowMuch your scan wasn't a better news. Hope they start working on getting rid of the fibroids and cyst soon.

Some one need to set up a new thread. This is one coming to it's end very soon

MgW1 · 20/01/2021 23:09

@GuessHowMuch
I had a scan to check for those too and they didnt see anything that was a cause for concern. I read up on it all though and fibroids can be removed straight forward 🤞🏻 xx

Marvellouslymadmum · 20/01/2021 23:11

Hi @M4v3r1ck no sign of af here it's been 51 looooong days now!

@GuessHowMuch sorry to hear about your scan, hopefully they'll do something positive to fix it all for you!

thislittlebird · 20/01/2021 23:46

It’s fine @GuessHowMuchSee but thank you for the thoughts. This is what I mean about scans though, they’re tricky buggers. I’m sort of expecting cysts myself, my mother used to get them. When do you get to speak to the doctor? Hopefully soon.

thislittlebird · 21/01/2021 12:03

Speaking of results, my consultation appointment just got moved forward one week. I’m relieved, that means I just have Friday, Saturday and Sunday after the tests to stew over the results.

M4v3r1ck · 21/01/2021 15:26

Need to catch up properly tonight, but I just noticed the number and we're close to finishing the thread so I've set up a new one...
