Just that there is a shadow line on all the tests and i have had to buy a morr expensive test to double check which defeats the object! Anyway there were £9 for cheapies!! Il pit the money towards the clear blue opks the pink ones are supposed to he the best , told my hubby he has to abstain from alcohol for 2 weeks , its full steam ahead !!! Xx

@TTCat39 I'm 39 too, we've been ttc#1 for 9 months so far. How old is your oh? Mine is 43. The stuff on the internet about ttc over 35 is so scary and depressing! I've even thought about setting up a website and filling it only with POSITIVE statistics, POSITIVE research studies, and POSITIVE real life examples of all the many many women who successfully start their families in their late 30s and 40s, then we could all just look at that website and ignore everything else on the internet! 😄

I'm currently 11dpo, my temperature has started it's gradual decline so I'm fully expecting af on Friday or thereabouts. Got our first appointment at the fertility clinic tomorrow, no idea what to expect really but looking forward to it nonetheless 😊

For my I'm now on CD44 15 days late, haven't tested for the last 8 days (was a bfn) so planning on getting some today and testing 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻

@Kitekat81 OH is a spritely 51!! I would LOVE to see your positivity website!! OH thought (thinks) we'll have no problems and is quite chilled about it (do they all think they've got super swimmers?!) I am less optimistic.
I haven't been tracking my temperature - i'll look into this.
Best of luck for your fertility appointment - let us know what happens? Currently terrified and it would be great to learn from you! x

Hello, can I join? 39 and about to start TTC #2. First cycle, got peak on OPK today, have had zero practice goes before today due to extremely tiring 20 month old. So will be a one shot wonder if it does work! I had a slightly traumatic MMC the first time round so I won’t be too surprised if that happens again but hoping not. Fingers crossed for me and everyone here!

Oh I’m not sure if this thread is for those TTC#1 in which case please tell me to sling me hook 😂

Thanks! Of course after my positive opening message my Oh Is not feeling well or up to any baby making tonight. I was looking at my charts from when I got pregnant with my Lo last time and we didn’t do it until the day after I got my positive OPK so all is not lost. MEN!

@TTCat39 your mum is definitely an inspiration then! My mum had me at 34 and that was a big deal in the 80s! I deffo found BBT tracking to be accurate for me!

I've had medical management today and it seems to have gone pretty smoothly if pretty grim. Feeling positive about things, just need to on board DH. No sex threat may be enough methinks....

Sympathy @Sleeeeeepy - just take all the painkillers they give you, don’t try to tough it out and be kind to yourself. I recommend watching whatever makes you laugh as it really helped me with the physical and mental pain. Good luck with it x

@selina37 how you doing twinny? I’m literally a new woman here! Not doing opks! Haven’t even looked to see what cycle day I’m on (so don’t tell me yours or I’ll know 🤣) and I am not poas this month unless late!!! Just decided to dtd every other day this month, oh and I am off the booze 😅 for January and will see how it goes after that might cut it completely in the 2ww from Feb! With the odd one or two other times. Trying very hard to lose weight and it’s going well so far with good diet abs exercise 👍 hoping I can keep this up!

Have you opted for laid back approach after all those cheap tests last month? Iv done frer and deffo out this month just wish my AF would hurry up! Due today, feeling down about it 😫 will feel better when AF arrives and can move on! Just trying to arrange my covid jab now , can have it through work so thought id get it out of the way xx

Hi , well I had a miscarriage in sept , then had a long cycle followed by a short one so didnt try for first 2 months. Then second month of trying I had a chemical and then this month BFN! Got an ultrasound on Tuesday and I am trying to book my covid test through work so may have this next month off if i can have the jab in next week or so. The advice now is you dont need to put off ttc but i think id wait a month just to be on safe side. Its snowing heavy where i am 🌨❄ xx

@MgW1 yes those evaps sent me over the edge and I just thought new year! New approach! Time to get on with life and stop obsessing wasting time and money on tests! Will be healthier and keep ttc without analysing everything. My cycles are clockwork so regular dtd, vits and being as healthy as possible is my new plan. Have also changed to a more absorbable (and expensive) Ubiquinol and upped the dose.

I think that’s a good plan get your vaccine out the way! Sorry you feel down, always the way when af due but hang in there, the light will come in a few days and we are here if you need to vent!

Im definately getting on board with your approach next time. If i hadnt obsessively tested i wouldnt feel today because i would be waiting for Af and feeling non the wiser. Mine are usually regular but had a chemical last month so expecting to be a day or 2 late xx

@MgW1 it’s so hard not to obsess and get consumed by it all. I usually need a harsh lesson to stop that kind of behaviour so I’m kind of glad I had evaps last month as it has given me the lesson I needed! We got this 💪

I'm 14dpo and a bfn so definitely out this month. We are not TTC next month because we are trying to sway a boy.

I had 2 fertility readings. One said April conception and the other said October 🤣🙈🙈

@LittleAurora forgive my ignorance but what's a fertility reading? Is it like a psychic thing? Could be way off the mark but I've never heard of one before!

@Marvellouslymadmum yes your right. Thought I'd give it a try for a laugh. And I tried two different ones at the same time for science lol 🤣🤣

@LittleAurora ahh I see! I've never heard of one before, did they predict you'd have a boy if you got pregnant at those times? Sorry for all the questions, it's intrigued me
