@LittleAurora I can definitely see a line there! 🤞🏻 for you getting a darker one over the next few days!!

I've still resisted testing so far today even though the frer tests have arrived and I'm 17 days late, because I've already had two bfn over a week ago and I know most people have said anytime urine should be ok, I drink a lot of water and quite a few cups of tea this time of year too (especially being at home all day!) and I don't want to do it, get a negative and convince myself that's because it may be watered down and then take the last test tomorrow 😂 if I can hold out I'll try and do it in the morning

Loladoodle · 15/01/2021 18:36

@LittleAurora I can see that one! 😄

@Marvellouslymadmum good luck for poas tomo!

@selina37 have been dtd every other day but might crank it up for the weekend 🐇🤣 currently cooking steaks, def not trying right now... not that good at multitasking plus don’t want to ruin the steaks 😅

MgW1 · 15/01/2021 18:39

@TTCat39
Sounds like hormone issue with short cycle do speak t9 your doc. Tell them your cycle too short and not regular and ask for blood test , do not delay!!! It could be easily recitified xxx

Marvellouslymadmum · 15/01/2021 18:41

@Loladoodle thank you! I'm desperately trying to hold out until the morning haha!

And no dtd whilst cooking steaks would def not be easy to multitask 😂

Pamparam · 15/01/2021 20:21

@LittleAurora I can see something! I bet there will be something clear in the morning.

Agree @TTCat39 it is best to try to speak to a GP earlier than later. Fingers crossed!

Pamparam · 15/01/2021 20:23

Hi @thislittlebird I never got on with cheapie OPKs either, but the CB are so damn expensive it makes you commit. I conceived my LO the first month using CB as it turned out I was completely missing the window and was ovulating much later than I thought!

TTCat39 · 15/01/2021 20:37

@Pamparam
@MgW1
I actually had full blood works last year while checking for another condition (which showed normal result) and I have the full report. Could there be something there which I should look for, or would they be testing for something else that wouldn’t have been reported?

selina37 · 15/01/2021 20:59

@Loladoodle 🤣🤣 no don't ruin the steaks!
Hoping for you @LittleAurora you must have spent a small fortune 😬 xxx

MgW1 · 15/01/2021 21:21

@TTCat39
Did you definately ovulate ? X

TTCat39 · 16/01/2021 06:45

@MgW1 I hadn’t started BBT / OPK at that point, so I don’t know. I’m ready for next month.

MgW1 · 16/01/2021 09:15

@TTCat39
Me too , im getting some for next month also , been guessing and not sure did enough at the right time! Xx

TTCat39 · 16/01/2021 09:51

@MgW1 - We’ve been DTD almost every day for the ten days after AF finished. I don’t think I could ovulate later than day 15 with a 22-26 day cycle. But BBT and OPK should give me a clue if I’m ovulating at all, I suppose.
Good luck with yours. I hope something positive comes of this soon because I am turning into a crazy person.

Marvellouslymadmum · 16/01/2021 10:04

Took at test this morning and still a bfn for me! CD47 18 days late and nothing! I'm so convinced there's something wrong with me now 😞

MgW1 · 16/01/2021 10:06

@TTCat39
Mine is 30 days but this month a day late. Why dont you try agnus cactus ? Or chasterberry? It does work! Helps length cycle xx

Loladoodle · 16/01/2021 10:11

@Marvellouslymadmum how frustrating for you! Has it ever been this late before? What is your usual cycle length?

Marvellouslymadmum · 16/01/2021 10:15

@Loladoodle it's so frustrating! I've never been this late before, cycle length is typically 28/29 days with a variation of 26 every now and then up to 31 for the longest, I just don't know what's going on 😔 I'm going to be 42 in March and we've been trying so long I just really thought being this late it could be it for us but no

M4v3r1ck · 16/01/2021 10:20

Thank you ladies! 😘😘😘

@LittleAurora that looks like a very faint line to me! 🤞🏻 it gets darker!

@MgW1 ah yes, that makes sense! I'll also stick with AF in future too!!!!

@TTCat39 honestly I feel you so much! The impatience is killing me! I keep trying not to wish away time! 😳😳😳 It helps me knowing I'm not alone with these feelings and experiences - this is what this group is here for! 😘😘😘

@Marvellouslymadmum that is super frustrating! Are you having any weird symptoms?!

Happy Saturday ladies! Hope you've a restful weekend planned, and those of you home schooling can breathe a sigh of relief for a couple of days! 😃

Marvellouslymadmum · 16/01/2021 10:31

@M4v3r1ck
I've been nauseous on and off and had an achy back, funny taste in my mouth but other than that no nothing and absolutely no sign of af!

Pamparam · 16/01/2021 10:59

@Marvellouslymadmum it sounds like maybe you just didn’t ovulate this month? From haunting the conception boards when trying previously, it’s seems not uncommon for women to just occasionally not ovulate so you’re not going to have a period either until after you do. I guess as we get older then that is more likely to happen...as is chucking out two eggs so twins could happen 😬

Marvellouslymadmum · 16/01/2021 11:03

@Pamparam that's what I'm hoping it is, though I don't ever recall missing a period completely before! Maybe I'll get two and get lucky next month 😂 I go between feeling low and worried somethings wrong one minute to thinking maybe I'm just one of those who gets a very late bfp or next month will be all back to normal! Lol

Kitekat81 · 16/01/2021 11:56

Hello ladies! I've been away for a couple of days and so much to catch up on 😂

Welcome @Pamparam and @thislittlebird!

@LittleAurora your dog sniffing your test made me chuckle 😄

@M4v3r1ck yay for the clear scan! But sorry about the yucky uti - hope it passes quickly for you!

@Marvellouslymadmum have you tried phoning your GP for advice?

@TTCat39 try not to panic too much based on one cycle! I know exactly how you feel - when you decide to ttc at our age you are so conscious that every cycle counts, and it is so devastating when you think you've lost one. You can phone your GP for reassurance, but I think they will tell you to relax and see what happens next cycle - if you are usually regular then there's every chance you'll be back to usual next month! I also usually have fairly regular 25-28 day cycles, but had random short ones last year in January, February and August. I wasn't tracking ovulation in Jan/Feb but was in August and could see it was because I hadn't ovulated that month. I was completely devastated and worried when it happened, but my cycles went back to regular again just fine the next month. I spoke to the doctor at the fertility clinic on Thursday about this and she said that an irregular cycle about once every 6 months wasn't something to be overly concerned about. I know it's really hard, but try and stay calm, get all your opks and bbt planning ready for your next cycle, and start thinking about all the things you want to try differently this cycle 🙂

Thanks to everyone who wished me luck for my fertility appointment on Thursday. I'm not going to go into all the details here because I don't want to bore you ladies 😄 but if anyone wants all the gory details I've posted a very detailed account on another thread on the Conception forum, "First Fertility Clinic Appointment tomorrow", and can also pm this to anyone who is interested. In summary, of course it's my age which is the main issue for us. My main concern is my antral follicle count - I only had 6, which isn't great news for how many eggs I've got left, my egg quality, or the likelihood of being successful with ivf. Next steps are an hsg to see if my tubes are blocked (trying to arrange this privately as it's a 4 month wait on the nhs), and then probably in a few months we'll start looking into private ivf, the doctor was quite realistic with us that the timescales / waiting lists etc on the NHS aren't going to be an option for us - if my tubes aren't blocked then we are probably looking at January 2023 for ivf, which is just too long a wait for us.

Marvellouslymadmum · 16/01/2021 13:07

Hi @Kitekat81 I haven't spoken to the gp yet, I wondered if I may be better just waiting this month to see if af eventually appears and go from there!

Sorry to hear about your fertility results but at least you know what's going on 🤞🏻 you'll be able to get things sorted soon!
