@Char899 oh that would be lovely!
Yeah, we would be end of June as well which could be interesting 😂 I'm on the 12th, my SIL 13th BIL 14th and DD is 22nd 😂 expensive month for DH! 😂

@Mommabear20 @Char899, I hope you are stocked up on internet cheapies so you can start some guilt free testing soon. Fingers crossed for you both!
My DS is 16 months now, so will have to live with a 2-3 year gap minimum...

Mommabear20 · 07/10/2020 12:56

@Waiting4another I cleared out the £shop yesterday! 😂 god help us if anyone looks in our bathroom cupboard 🤦‍♀️😆

That's still a nice age gap! I think any age gap can work! It just depends on everyone's individual circumstances 😁

🤞🤞 for some positive test pics on this thread soon!!!

Haha, I know, my bathroom is getting out of control with all the OPKs and HCG tests! And this is attempt No 1 at kid No 2 🤦‍♀️

Waiting4another · 07/10/2020 13:10

And my OH is so clueless - he saw an OPK the other day and was like OMG are you pregnant already?!
He is still upset that there was not a lot of ‘trying’ for our DS haha

Char899 · 07/10/2020 13:11

@Waiting4another fx you get af soon so you know where you stand! Ds is nearly 19 months so we will be looking at a similar age gap depending on how long this takes!

I actually have NO tests in the house! I nearly ordered some FRERs earlier but I’ve decided to wait so I can’t test too early! It’s killing me not to order any! Haha

@Mommabear20 gosh that is an expensive month! Gets it all out the way I suppose. You might just have to save for a few months in advance haha

Mommabear20 · 07/10/2020 13:18

@Waiting4another haha men! 😂
I bought a 'big sister' tshirt for our dd and he freaked 😂

Waiting4another · 07/10/2020 13:20

So disciplined @Char899!
I was lax in testing last time and ended up having a GP tell me that I was pregnant! My OH and I were so shocked because we hardly even BD’d (we had both had bad colds). I went to the GP because I just couldn’t shake my cold and was so fatigued all the time. Should have been obvious in retrospect, but I just really wasn’t expecting it

Mommabear20 · 07/10/2020 13:20

@Char899 how have you not bought any yet 😂 it's a good idea though! I'll go through loads the week before AF is due 😆 #megaimpatient

Waiting4another · 07/10/2020 13:22

I am all for testing heaps now, do not want someone else to tell me about my pregnancy this time haha

Waiting4another · 07/10/2020 13:25

FRERs are expensive though, I just use the really cheap strips from the internet and would only get a FRER to confirm if I see sth on the cheapies...

Char899 · 07/10/2020 13:26

@Waiting4another @Mommabear20 I know!! I don’t expect it to last long though I’ll probably cave and buy some tomorrow! I just know as soon as I do I’ll test straight away at like 5dpo 🤦🏼‍♀️🤦🏼‍♀️ Funnily enough I have a cold at the moment, had it over a week and a half, ds is better but I’m not! I wonder if that’s because my immune system is low as my body is busy making a baby? A bit of a stretch maybe but nice to think 🤔 😂😂

Mommabear20 · 07/10/2020 13:31

@Waiting4another hahahaha bless ya! That's my kind of logic too!! Not a stretch at all!

OP posts:
Waiting4another · 07/10/2020 13:36

@Char899 Haha make sure you do a test first if you are thinking about heading to the GP about your cold!

Mommabear20 · 07/10/2020 13:41

Random question! Are any of you managers at your work place?

Basically I am scheduled to return to work from my mater leave, the first week in January 2021, IF I was to get pregnant this month I would be 13/14 weeks along when I return to work. As a manager, would you rather know prior to my return or would I be better waiting till I'm back and telling them in person? I work at a small shop of a large company

OP posts:
Char899 · 07/10/2020 13:48

@Mommabear20 I used to be a manager at one of my jobs but I didn’t go back to my previous job after maternity leave, I’m a stay at home mum now (for now anyway) if I were in your shoes I’d probably tell them before you go back? That way they can get a head start on arranging cover for you? I think it depends on the type of relationship you have with your boss? If you have a good relationship with them maybe they’ll respect your honesty?

Mommabear20 · 07/10/2020 13:55

@Char899 thanks 😊 we do have a pretty good relationship and same with my Area manager. They have just also agreed to my set days (our hours and days change every week usually) so that I can arrange childcare for DD so hoping that will make it easier for them to find cover for me as they know exactly what/when they need someone.
So would you say having a sit down over a coffee or something would be my best option and get it over with before hand?

OP posts:
Char899 · 07/10/2020 14:12

@Mommabear20 personally that’s what I’d do. That way you won’t be starting back at work nervous to tell them and they won’t feel like you’ve dropped a bombshell!

Mommabear20 · 07/10/2020 14:13

@Char899 thanks 😊 I think that's what I'll do :) just need a baby now! 😂

OP posts:
Char899 · 07/10/2020 15:00

So I caved and bought some cheap strip tests online... I blame you @Waiting4another 😂

Mommabear20 · 07/10/2020 15:02

@Char899 hahaha 😂 welcome to the club of impatient testers 😆

OP posts:
Waffle10 · 07/10/2020 17:32

@Waiting4another thanks for that, good to know about not testing in the morning! I've bought some cheap ones for now to see what there like.

@Char899 when are you going to start testing? I'll definitely be in the club of impatient testers 😂

Bellaphant · 07/10/2020 17:47

Hiya, this looks like me! Came off the pill in August, my son is nearly 15 months old, managed to get pregnant second month of the pill with my first but not feeling like lightening is going to strike twice! Started my period 22/09, so I guess I'm in my first real tww.

@Waffle10, last time I started puking a week before my period was due but didn't test til I was a week late, I think I was in denial!

Char899 · 07/10/2020 18:19

@Waffle10 I’m going to try and wait a week ( that’s not going to happen) I’m only 3/4 dpo but I’m not 100% sure when I ovulated so I may have actually missed the mark this month. I’ll prob do one at the weekend 😂

@Bellaphant welcome Smile good luck ttc!

Mommabear20 · 07/10/2020 18:21

@Bellaphant welcome!!

Not having any symptoms here yet but then I didn't till after I got a BFP the last time so 🤞🤞
