First month of trying here! Fell pregnant in the first month last time so 🤞🤞

Far out *@Annie1290* I thought my emergency section was stressful and I was full term, can’t even imagine dealing with one at 30 weeks and with preeclampsia and HG too! You are very brave for going again x

Brave or silly, I'm not sure which! Hoping now I know my issues, I/they will be able to manage it better than last time. I haven't been ready before now, but I'm so broody and at the stage in my career that if I don't do it now, it would need to wait about 3 years and I don't want that much of an age gap.

I thought the nurse would advise waiting for a period but she pretty much said to get started trying! I worried so much last time about trying at the right time because I didn't want a summer birthday but now it seems to matter a lot less...mainly because my first was so early that it shows planning means nothing haha!

Ugh! Been referred to the perinatal mental health consultant which may curtail the start if TTC- boo! But sensible, I suppose 🤷🏻‍♀️

I was being sick five days before af was due with my first, expecting a visit anytime between Tues and Thurs next week so I don't think this was my month. Sadder than I thought I'd be.

@Annie1290 Agree, you can’t ever have perfect timing and no pregnancy and delivery goes 100% to plan. Hopefully you will be very well taken care of this time given your history!

@Qwom how did the referral come about? Did you have issues when you had DS?

Every pregnancy is different @Bellaphant so not being sick this time is not definitive - I think I had no symptoms at all in the first 14 days with DS - which probably explains why a GP had to tell me I was pregnant last time!

The past year I have been pretty unwell with a handful of attempts on my own life. Currently taking a daily high dose of ADs and a low dose of anti psychotics as a mood stabiliser.
Perinatal will be the best to advise and monitor me throughout TTC, pregnancy and postnatal.
DS pregnancy was fine if you don't take into consideration the abuse I suffered at the hands of my ex

It sounds like it might be good to have some extra support. I hope you are in a better place now yourself and with your current partner and that this doesn’t derail your plans too much x

@Waiting4another I am in a really great place now. Excited for the future and looking forward to TTC I just hope the referral goes through quickly so we can start sooooon! Im so impatient 😅

AF for me today too. LH dump expected 1st/2nd Nov! Flip! I can't believe it's nearly November already

@littleeggcup was your first bub from the first try too? Must have been so exciting to have tested positive on the first try and then so traumatic to find out it was ectopic. I hope you are doing ok fingers extra crossed for you this month

I think I am over testing for ovulation daily now too, will just test if/when I get any promising looking CM - dry as bone at the moment so don’t based anything exciting happening here anytime soon. I guess I will check in with a GP if I don’t get any action at all by the end of the year! There goes the 2 year age gap I was hoping for - should have started earlier!

Have you tested @Mommabear20 and @Bellaphant???

@Waiting4another no I'm trying extra hard to wait for AF now and only test if she's late. DH has asked to be the first one to know this time 😂 so I pee and pass the stock 😆

So sorry for everyone getting AF :( but we can keep this thread going to we're all getting out BFP!!! We can do this!!!

Yes, been really lucky when trying before. Fell on first cycle, he is nearly 9 now!!

So it was pretty heartbreaking going for a scan at 5weeks and not seeing the sac in my uterus but right tube. It was emergency surgery that day as I had 100ml roughly blood around it so it had already begun to rupture.

I've waited for first period which is now and the doctor who performed my surgery said I can try now.... although lots of people say to wait 3 cycles.

So cd3! And I've started to temp too. See if it'll help. And I have opks! Xx

@Mommabear20 that’s actually really nice - I think dads can feel really left out of the process and this is a really sweet way to include them... not that I would be nice enough to hand over my sticks 😂

@Waiting4another yeah! He felt so disconnected from the baby until she was born (I don't think not knowing what we we're having helped) so hoping we can do more stuff to help him feel involved and connected this time round :) and I'm not patient enough to wait to find out what we're having a second time! 😂

@littleeggcup I’ve started temping too! Fx it works for us both this month! I’m just a couple of days behind you :)

@Mommabear20 that’s such a nice idea! I might do that too. Only thing is if it’s bad news I’d rather break it to him gently instead of seeing his sad little face! He was really disappointed when af showed up this morning.

@Qwom looks like we are very similar! LH due around the same time so we can be freaking out in the tww together!

I tested, negative, but I'm not expecting af until tuesday-thursday Ish. Think like @Mommabear20, going to wait now! And then buy some opks, lol

I did not have a very sweet 'engaging the father' story last time. I tested and woke him up telling him we had broken tests, lol.
