Haha! I bought some cheapy strips from eBay but only out of curiosity. I probably won't rely on them as I have used a cycle tracking app for 3 years and know my cycle pretty well! Af due next week and after that, we address officially on the TTC train!

@Qwom woop!! Exciting stuff!!

@Mommabear20 you can get OPK strips pretty cheap from eBay and should use them in the afternoons from about day 10 of your cycle until the test line is almost as/ darker than the control. That will be your LH surge and you should then ovulate around 12-36 hours later.
@Qwom you are so lucky to have regular AF and to know your cycles well, that is half the battle I think
@Char899 Sorry to hear it is another BFN for you, but you are still not out until AF shows! That said, even if it doesn’t catch this time, falling pregnant twice on the first try would be pretty lucky wouldn’t it!

They're regular but long so 31/32 days. I stopped taking hormonal contraception 3 years ago and have just used a diaphragm since. It's so nice to be in tune with my body! Smile

Can I join too please? DS has just turned 3 and I just had my implant out today. Nervous as we fell first time last time and I had the most awful pregnancy with HG and then complication from pre-eclampsia resulting in an emergency c section at 30 weeks.

Mommabear20 · 15/10/2020 10:54

@Annie1290 welcome!! Hoping for a BFP for you! And an easier pregnancy this time round!

Char899 · 15/10/2020 11:35

Wellcome @Annie1290 fingers crossed things go smoothly for you this time around!

@Mommabear20 anymore testing from you??

Waiting4another · 15/10/2020 11:40

@Qwom I wish I hadn’t let the hospital put in an implant when I gave birth, but they were so insistent because I had a c section that I absolutely could not fall pregnant again within a year... and now no ovulation, no AF, no ttc for me until my hormones all sort themselves out Sad
@Annie1290 sorry to hear you had such a tough pregnancy - I fell straight off the implant last time and had very smooth sailing until the delivery - hopefully your cycles return soon like they do for most people. I had my implant out 1 September and nothing yet...

Waiting4another · 15/10/2020 11:43

BFN pregnancy and OPKs again today for me, day 44 after removal, so I guess I won’t be ovulating on day 45 like I did last time Sad. I was really hoping to see some action this week...

Qwom · 15/10/2020 11:56

@Waiting4another the body can take a looong time to get back to itself after implant removal. Sad to say but I had one and my body took the best part of a year to settle into a rhythm

Char899 · 15/10/2020 12:05

@Waiting4another sorry to hear this :( I have my fingers firmly crossed that af will turn up soon for you

Waiting4another · 15/10/2020 12:07

@Qwom 😭 I sure hope it doesn’t take a year! I am already looking at a ‘geriatric’ pregnancy this time around. Everything I have seen says 90% of women ovulate within 4 weeks of removal, but it took me 45 days last time and obviously even longer this time 🤦‍♀️

Qwom · 15/10/2020 12:12

@Waiting4another maybe mine was a special case 🤷🏻‍♀️ I will deffo be a geriatric pregnancy as am rolling up to 38 😬

Waiting4another · 15/10/2020 12:12

Thank you @Char899!
I am keeping everything crossed for you too, you had so many symptoms in the TWW, spider dreams and everything! I’d have totally convinced myself by now that I was pregnant if I had 1/4 of your symptoms!!!

Waiting4another · 15/10/2020 12:18

Such an awful term isn’t it @Qwom! I am really interested to hear how you go with the OPKs since you have been tracking for so long. Please keep us updated. Interested to see if you catch your LH peak when you expect it. What CD do you normally think you ovulate?

littleeggcup · 15/10/2020 12:22

Hello!

First month ttc after an ectopic with right tubal removal.

I'm taking some supplements which unsure will help or not but my left remaining tube isn't perfect; but doctor who did my ectopic surgery stated it shouldn't effect my fertility.

Day one today! Light period day. I am waiting for my BBT to come in the post and OPK will start cd10 I reckon! Xxx

Qwom · 15/10/2020 12:26

@Waiting4another I know! As if it wasn't bad enough the worry of TTC and getting older but to be called geriatric 🙄
I will let you know! I anticipate LH peak CD 17/18 so also interested to see what the OPKs tell me!

Waiting4another · 15/10/2020 12:27

Far out @Annie1290 I thought my emergency section was stressful and I was full term, can’t even imagine dealing with one at 30 weeks and with preeclampsia and HG too! You are very brave for going again x

Waiting4another · 15/10/2020 12:34

Thank you @Qwom, 17/18 is pretty late in your cycle! Do you SMEP? That would be a pretty exhausting amount of BD 🤣

Welcome @littleeggcup, sorry to hear about your ectopic. Hopefully you get a sticky little bean this time. Are you ttc your second bub?

Qwom · 15/10/2020 12:40

@Waiting4another it is a dirty job but someone has to do it 😂 this is our first cycle TTC (11 yo DS from another 'relationship') so will try SMEP. As much as I love DTD I need OHs swimmers to be tip top 😁

Hi @littleeggcup 👋🏻

Waiting4another · 15/10/2020 12:51

@Qwom I got a test online for DH’s swimmers last time just before we were thinking of ttc because he was quite worried about it. He was beaming and chest puffing for days when the test turned bright purple indicating he was ok haha! Men!

Qwom · 15/10/2020 13:01

@Waiting4another Haha! Bless him. That's cute. So proud of his ejaculate 😆

Waiting4another · 15/10/2020 13:09

He informs me that I’d be proud too if all I contributed was one tiny little swimmer and it resulted in a mini-me... He is right too!

Mommabear20 · 15/10/2020 13:10

@Char899 no I've been surprisingly relaxed the past few days! Think I'm gonna hold out for AF now and see what happens

Hello! Yes this is second baby! Fingers crossed. Xxx
