@BellsB1 see I was just wondering this last night.... if you havea shorter LP can you test earlier? Like if the test say '4 days before your missed period' well that could be 10dpo or 7dpo depending on your LP lenght? But then that probably doesn't mean you implant earlier just because you have a shorter LP. I'm just rambling out loud here but you know, something to ponder 🤔
@Juno231 sorry about af. She's a bitch. Take your time to be pissed off and treat yourself to something nice.

@Minster2012 it's probably just coming from a place of self preservation. Negativity is wearing though. And seems utterly daft to be talking about stopping meds!
@Vil10 hopefully the tablets aren't still having an effect. What cd are you now?

Sausage1990 · 03/10/2020 11:27

@Amy00 thank you for the tips - so helpful. I decided to get 2 packs of the super ultra night time pads and then some large winged day time ones too. I found it surprisingly emotional buying pads which took me by suprise as I got tearful in asda... The least expected things are setting me off atm. But I suppose it's to be expected. I'll have to ask about which medication is suitable from the pharmacy or Dr because unfortunately codene makes me really sick but I will look into getting something that packs more of a punch.
I've got hot water bottles & microwave wheatpacks so I'm all good with those.

The tips on food are actually great. A bit of prep goes alone way. DH's work have already siad he can take some time off work for a few days to be there for me at home so I'm really grateful for that. He will be in charge of keeping me fed & watered and dosed up with all the painkillers I need. And for all the cuddles too. We will both tneed those.

@clairey844 thank you for you kind words. I'm sorry you had to go through this in February, it's truly horrible to go through. But you girls give me strength because you've got through it and I will too 💕

Vil10 · 03/10/2020 11:43

@Minster2012 snuggly winter clothes are the best, I love autumn/winter attire!! Yessss I remember your sequin docs, I love them!! They'd brighten up anyone's day! I think I'm going to go Manchester shopping next week and I'll try some on and decide then! Fuck the negative IVF threads off and stick with us lady, you don't need that negative shit!!

@Chlo2701 that's the plan definitely!! I just hope I did ovulate when I had the ewcm! I originally thought af was due on the 16th but if I've ovulated earlier it could be like the 14th? I literally have no idea😂 glad I'm not the only one in that club! It's a nightmare isn't it!! Maybe we should embrace it to have the lovely docs🤔

@Franklydear hahaha thanks for the support!! Yasss I used to wear boots like that when I was younger!

@Katao I'd like to think they aren't but I have no idea whether they still are! I'm CD17 now!

Katao · 03/10/2020 12:51

@Vil10 I'm sorry I know this is an annoying thing to say but try not to worry about it. I remember your blazer of an opk from last month so I think you are firing out eggs no problem and your full of spunk so alls good 😉 it's a ball ache not to know where you are but there should only be a week max in the difference which I know is more waiting on top of waiting but your chances aren't any less if you know what I mean 😘

Minster2012 · 03/10/2020 13:15

@BellsB1 I'm with you on the getting rid of FMU that's what I'm like too, you will need to tell me to do that over the coming days ladies 😬😳

@Franklydear yessss on the BONKFEST!! Europeans....but if you eat that late how you expect to be in bed at 10?? Nah only kidding it was a Friday night wooo I was rock n roll with me alcohol free cider whilst DH got drunk on half a bottle of red wine and beers and played very loud music!!

@notyetamumbuttrying He does have an amazing way with words my fella! It's obviously ALL about him for my vag!

@Katao I know what you mean about the negativity being self preservation but when she says about the meds I thought you bloody wouldn't if you'd paid £2500 for them 🙄like some of us don't take it for granted

@Sausage1990 I did the same in Asda sending more hugs and great god your DH

@Vil10 you are covered and I think it was Monday or Tuesday???

Franklydear · 03/10/2020 13:25

Vil10 · 03/10/2020 13:47

@Katao full of spunk😂 that I definitely am!! Yeah you're right, I'm just worrying for no reason, ignore me! I'll just wait and see how I feel and I'll probs just try and wait to see if af shows up! Thankyou!!

@Minster2012 I think I'll definitely still be keeping up the bonkfest though🍆

Minster2012 · 03/10/2020 13:53

@Franklydear 😳😳😳is that actually your schedule??? Like during the week too?? Are you in the HK or actually European? I couldn't do that, I mean we can't coz of DH's work anyway!

Franklydear · 03/10/2020 14:11

@Minster2012 I live in sussex, so not really but we derail on weekends, lunch currently cooking but we got up at 10.30
that is normal Spanish life, we revert to it on holidays, ds loves it, specially when after late dinner nobody sends him to bed.... they look in horror to uk schedule
Up at 6
Breakfast at 7
Lunch at work, normal midday ish
Dinner at 7
We go to bed terribly early for them, before my nephews 🤣

Franklydear · 03/10/2020 14:14

On the continent note, i think this is the first time we are going to miss Xmas, but I don’t see travel possible, to put it in perspective Xmas dinner is about 30-40 people... it’s going to be weird just the three of us

Minster2012 · 03/10/2020 14:30

@Franklydear totally get it for Spanish life but couldn't do it myself, my body clock just wouldn't let it happen, though we do sleep in a bit on holiday and at weekends when DS lets us but for us that's like last night where he went to bed 7.45pm (he's 2) & I went to bed at what 11.30 (would have been earlier but I was chatting on WhatsApp) & DH came to bed at midnight then we heard "MUMMY DADDY" at 7.45am, & breakfast 8.30, lunch 12.30 ish, tea for DS will be 5.30/6 but we have date night as he's not with us.

During week it's DH up at 6.15, he leaves 6.45, DS tends to here noise of dogs so wakes 7 then repeat to bed 7.30/7.45.

I have so much medication I have to have it regularly & even when "I have a lie in" it's about 7.30 when I wake up!

My BIL/SIL are like you though, when they are up with my in laws I only see them eat "breakfast" at 1/2pm 😂

Minster2012 · 03/10/2020 14:33

And we are similar with Xmas but Boxing Day my in-laws usually do similar for about 50 ppl and it'll be weird not doing it

Newbie0818 · 03/10/2020 14:33

@Franklydear @Minster2012 I'm usually asleep on the sofa by 9 and don't even have kids 🤣 definitely early birds over here!

Mococo1 · 03/10/2020 14:35

Mococo1 · 03/10/2020 14:37

Franklydear · 03/10/2020 14:42

@Minster2012 @Newbie0818 the summer before last we came back from dinner out with my dbrother family at 1.30 am, with the kids!
It’s a different world, in uk in a week day, I’ll be lucky to see the end of the 10 o’clock news...

Franklydear · 03/10/2020 14:42

Hi @Mococo1 👋🏻

Minster2012 · 03/10/2020 14:48

God, I couldn't cope with having DS up that late, I'm like "get him to bed it's our time" and fortunately he's very keen to go to sleep, he gets overtired so he has to go to bed at 8 really, Amy later and it does NOT translate to a later wake up so it's not worth it!

@Newbie0818 I only stay up late at the weekend & usually I'm helped by gin!

@Mococo1 hey how are you??

Franklydear · 03/10/2020 14:59

Ds is autistic so sleep is erratic any way, the worst part is when he wakes up that is it, even if it is 4 in the morning, the only thing you can guarantee is if he goes to bed before 9.30, nobody will sleep tonight,
So... your evenings? What evenings? 🤣 very jealous, enjoy them.

Minster2012 · 03/10/2020 15:52

Ahhh yes @Franklydear, I remember now, you gotta do whatever works for everyone, and god I've got loads of mates who's kids don't sleep anyway we are very lucky (if we do have another, karma says it won't 😂)

Minster2012 · 03/10/2020 17:32

Ok ladies so I'm sat on my ass on the sofa and fan Ying around on MN land & I just stumbled across this thread that has made me LOL

Who was it that said "there's always ppl worse off than you??"

It might be me trying to make myself feel better about infertility so I'm sorry if it isn't the right humour for anyone or it's a bit too close to the bone but knowing my humour....well...

There may be some IVF acronyms you don't know (ICI is not full IVF it's to help with sperm mobility for instance, a trigger shot is an injection you take EXACTLY 36 hours before your eggs are collected to bring them to maturity which I nearly fucked up) but you get the gist...

Minster2012 · 03/10/2020 18:51

I know right! And we thought legs up in the air, Oreo, grapefruit juice & seeds were bad!! 😂

@Newbie0818 that sounds amazing!! Have fun with that!! Best kind of ovulation fun!

I'm getting ready for date night at a new Indian restaurant we've not been too before 🥰

Katao · 03/10/2020 18:58
