@Minster2012 I already have 3 teenagers 🤦‍♀️🤣🤣 my youngest is 13 lol I must be mad. Eldest just moved to Liverpool to university so we have the space now 🤣🤣

@SmileyT is defo a glower! Not jealous at all 🤪🤣 xx

Franklydear · 26/09/2020 19:16

@SmileyT yeiii, don't leave again
@Minster2012 it is unfair, very, but please educate us about IVF, I can't believe how ignorant I was
@lucyrp it is hard to be around babies, a work friend , not in my work but the business next door is due in 9 weeks, every time I want to tell her I want one too, but we are not that close
I feel better ladies, proper af, I don't know how all went so wrong the last couple of months

DKDK123 · 26/09/2020 20:03

Congratulations @SarahTTC2020! 🥳 I didnt have any oreo this month, thats clearly where I went wrong, its definitely getting eaten this cycle all in the name of science!

@KateColx hooray for the digital, hopefully that gives you a wee bit of peace of mind now till your scan.

Aww what a neat looking bump @Catherinettc def no hiding it now! Glad to hear all is ok after your little scare.

@SmileyT glad to hear you're little bean is cooking away nicely too, drop in on us more often the door is always open 😊

@Minster2012 that is a crazy amount of money isnt it (tho at the same time totally worth it for the end result). Its also sad that you can't have help if you already have a child, why should children to IVF couples have to be an only child if the parents really want a sibling for them but financially can't afford another round of IVF, its not like you're talking about saving up and finding a spare £200 its silly amounts of money and for some that would sadly never be attainable. Keeping fingers, toes and everything crossed that this round works for you so you don't have to go through the process again.......unless you want to go for child #3

My temp dropped below the cover line this morn and RHR dropped too, all the symptoms I had the other day have gone and have had really bad cramping all day. Not even a squinter on the tests today so just awaiting AF to hurry up and come to start a new cycle and book in with the docs for tests. Feeling better about it today tho, had my cry yesterday back to 'meh, next cycle please' today.
We have another problem tho, DH has thyroid problems which are controlled by medication but he can't be on the meds long term. He just got his letter thru to say they're wanting to start his radioactive treatment asap it was on hold due to covid......but once he gets it he's not allowed to ttc for 6months afterwards! I'm 37 next year, time's not really on our side and 6months of not trying is a huge chunk of time to take away, but then again the treatment is quite important plus for all we know him having the treatment could help with ttc (hes booking for SA next week). So now we need to weigh up do we put his treatment or do we put ttc on hold 🤷‍♀️

Minster2012 · 26/09/2020 20:13

@Franklydear don't worry at all. I was totally ignorant til I got to IVF about how common things like PCOS and just "unexplained infertility" are 😔. It's still a bit of a postcode lottery I'm afraid, like our area you only get one fully funded go on NHS but that can include getting embryos frozen & stored for 3 years which some areas don't. But other areas it can be up to 3 attempts fully funded (this is all unless you have a child, like if you are in an area of "3 goes" then it works first time, as soon as your child is 6 months old you then don't qualify for anything more). So postcode lottery is rife. And if your partner has a child it's a no go. That's why us now having a child is a moot point even though we paid for half the first time despite it clearly showing it's me that has all the issues & half the treatment wasn't for me 😔

@Franklydear I think having a good AF is a food clear out. Have your wine & enjoy it!!

@lucyrp totally understand your pain, i feel it absolutely. I'm seeing my 7 month old nephew tomorrow & I sent them a load of DS's baby clothes when she had a breakdown about giving birth in lockdown & not being prepared. I was in tears sending the box as it was just after miscarriage & they don't know. It will still be bittersweet.

Someone else has just posted their "home birth" video on a Facebook group I'm on. It's for kids clothes of all ages. I'm sorry but who does that???? Over sharing, much??? 🤦🏼‍♀️FFS where's my wine

Newbie0818 · 26/09/2020 20:54

Well I've had a lovely day today enjoying nature and getting in touch with my inner forest child 💚 honestly feel so zen now.

Thank you @Runnergirl1 I live in hope 😔

That's good @notyetamumbuttrying I might see how the sperm analysis goes and if they're still slow with me after I'll go private.

Definitely @Missgoldilocks it honestly is bizarre to me how little gp's know about pcos as there's SO much research out there. But alas they have a lot to do and learn anyhow. I'll continue to fight!

@Katao yay for peak!

@SarahTTC2020 already said congrats to you on our other three but congrats again! 🎉💕 and I've been eating Oreo choc so Damian hopeful now 😂

@Minster2012 im 27 but I know they should help by now with the pcos thing. I'll see how the sperm analysis goes and then she said we'll have another consultation to talk through options, so I'll make sure I push then! If not, private it shall be.

@Clairey844 it IS all consuming, and very difficult, hugs x

@lucyrp we did in the end, and a surprise DTD today too! Woop. Hugs to you with the baby longing x

@KateColx aww great progression 🎉💕

@Franklydear enjoy the wine!

notyetamumbuttrying · 26/09/2020 21:04

@KateColx thank you! Not found a house yet, but always looking online, I'm as obsessed about houses as I am ttc 😂
@SmileyT hello 👋🏾 a little boy 👦🏽 how lovely!
@Newbie0818 we might be on the private train together then! We agreed this week that if the second SA is still poor in Nov, we'll start consultations with the private clinic in December. I'm glad you're zen today. Beautiful pic!! I've been out with hubs and SIL. Few drinks and some Turkish grub, been lovely! X

Katao · 26/09/2020 21:10

@Minster2012 we will try! I would love to just wait it out and get a solid answer but I have no patience. Plus i sort of like to lower my expectations bit by bit so it's not so crushing. Got peak yesterday so ovulation today. Re the ivf that makes total sense. You should really get the other half of your treatment and no harm in asking. Ive a feeling even though they dont recognize surrogacy they will be quick enough to say you already have a child though. Put definitely push your case! Put those email writing skills to good use!
@lucyrp oh it's so hard when there is an actual little baby in sight, the ovaries start screaming!
@SmileyT ah hello! Love to see the grads pop up. Glad you are doing well and congratulations on a boy, mummy's prince!
@Newbie0818 looks fab, good for the soul.

lucyrp · 26/09/2020 21:14

@Franklydear so hard isn't it

@Minster2012 oh no hugs to you for tomorrow, that will be hard. As much as I love seeing her and holding her I do get upset and then oh says well why did we go and see them and I'm like no it's not that 🙈

@Newbie0818 yesss! We have DTD twice today, once this morning and then we had another sensual bath together this evening and my god was it good! Think we'll have to make this bath together a regular thing ! Seems to work very well for both of us 🙈

@Katao my ovaries were bursting let me tell you!

Minster2012 · 26/09/2020 21:28

@Catherinettc well if there's room in the house & teenagers to help & babysit then it sounds perfect timing!! Was it hard seeing the eldest off?

@DKDK123 it is a crazy amount of money. Definitely. Number 3 😳did I mention DS is a beautiful HANDFUL?? 😂 but then again DH is eldest of 4. When the letter says "they are awaiting to start his treatment" I think it's important to try & understand what that might mean. Nothing is instantaneous and I think you need to speak to your doctor about your CPs lovely & discuss the whole thing in context as you say time IS ticking and it seems something may not be right xxx

@Newbie0818 that picture looks so lush, was that today???? Bloody hell I could post you a picture of our tree nearly being blown over from
wind here today!! I think bloods and semen analysis is the first step anyway in any referral process so it's still starting right so def keep pushing but it's going right

I raise you freak hail storm from Thursday. I told you someone ordered winter here 😂

notyetamumbuttrying · 26/09/2020 21:38

Wow wee @Minster2012!! Lovely home 😍
What a photo too, did you take that? The last one I mean.

Minster2012 · 26/09/2020 21:51

@notyetamumbuttrying no I didn't take that, I took the dog one though which is her dog, stay with me, it's my DH's cousins home, so my in laws live (I took the first pic at MILs at same time) 20 seconds away just next to those trees up the top of a tree lined drive! DH's dad is the brother of the women's mum & her hubby who lives there, they built it, it's stunning. I was at the top of the hill with DS at MILs but we regularly hang out there. So we then went "down the hill" in the hail so the kids could play in the field. It's idyllic, it's why I hang out there a lot so the dogs can run round too 🥰

notyetamumbuttrying · 26/09/2020 21:57

@Minster2012 Idyllic indeed! I'd never want to leave 😂 I'm so ready for a house it's not even funny! Living in zone 2 London is pointless when you can't do eff all lol! I miss the greenery and open air anyway. I'm a country girl originally so always wanted to get bk ASAP. Moved to London at 28 and now I'm married etc I'm just desperate to leave and go bk to a slower pace of life.

Minster2012 · 26/09/2020 22:08

@notyetamumbuttrying come up here & you can get LOADS for your money!!! We def have quieter pace of life & a wonderful country pub we literally live opposite in our village. Staggering distance. Good choice there we've found 😂🤣where in the country you from? My brother is a london boy now though, that's who is coming up tomorrow with girlfriend & baby but even he is considering moving up here again though now 🤞🏻

Katao · 26/09/2020 22:10

Sorry @DKDK123 I just looked back and saw your post. It's sounds like you are being very resilient but I'm sorry you are going through this again and especially to be neither here nor there waiting for af. I think definitely get on to your gp now and see what they can do for you. They might be able to help you and OH to prioritise with treatment vs ttc too. Can he have sperm frozen or anything like that?

notyetamumbuttrying · 26/09/2020 22:16

@Minster2012 only snag is DH is a Londoner and won't go too far away from it. The compromise is Berkshire. I'm bucks/oxon. Beautiful walks and houses and still close to London. All my friends are there, parents, sister etc. One sister is in London and a few mates, but I wanna go bk. we have a one bed flat and for the same price we could get a 3 bed semi where I'm from, it's madness! We'll likely go Berkshire tho as that's a touch closer to London and we can afford a decent size house there so I'm happy with the compromise. Just need this flat to sell pronto, I have zero patience 😂 ttc has been doubly hard because of that lol! Hope you have a nice day with your bro and nephew/niece. Bet you can't wait for baby cuddles 🤗

Minster2012 · 26/09/2020 22:26

Yeah totally get you on that @notyetamumbuttrying, Berkshire is good compromise for that. Did you have any luck from the viewings you had the other day? We have a ear to ground on the market, we would def move for the right thing but live our house too so won't put ours on the the market & I phoned to try get a viewing on a house that looked relatively ideal today & was told they are only allowing people to view who have an offer on a property or can proceed without selling. You have to have total faith in a house to limit yourself like that just on viewings surely?? Crazy I think. But meh, we are v fortunate we don't need to move. It's crazy currently round here

notyetamumbuttrying · 26/09/2020 22:38

@Minster2012 yeah it's madness out there! It's good you're happy where you are. There's 3 flats alone in our block on the market and more in the development overall, so defo a buyers market at mo. Hubs is a mortgage advisor so that's a saving grace!
So the viewings last week...we had a second one and they went with the flat on the floor below, booo!! We had another this morning so hoping he wants to come bk for a second viewing too. We just need more to see it too, but I need to be patient 🙄😂

Minster2012 · 26/09/2020 22:47

@notyetamumbuttrying oh no they went with another in the block how frustrating?! Patience. Yeah, we are known for that right! 🙄🤦🏼‍♀️🙈yeah we don't have to move, I don't struggle down the road with 2 dogs & one child...it would be no bother with 2 dogs & 2 children I'm sure 😂🤦🏼‍♀️cos we don't have the massive garden 😬

Ladies I'm itching alllllll over. Like my legs, my feet, my arms. I'm hoping this is randomly the progesterone or estrogen. It's def not fleas or anything like that 😂but I look like a looney 😫

blodyn91 · 26/09/2020 22:52

@Minster2012 @notyetamumbuttrying thats why we put ours up to be able to view others. Now ours is sold, but we can't find anywhere or we keep missing out 😫 theres another auction end of October that we will head to. So frustrating isn't it. I cried today about missing out last night 🙈

notyetamumbuttrying · 26/09/2020 22:59

@blodyn91 aww that sounds stressful! Where you looking?
@Minster2012 yeah it was massively frustrating but hey ho! Eek, you'll find the right place when the time is right I guess.
Ooh itching doesn't sound fun! Did they say that was a side effect of the drugs?

Minster2012 · 26/09/2020 23:02

Oh no @blodyn91 that's awful, I cried after we lost out on the one after our wedding but we found our current one so don't give up hope gorgeous 🥰, but we have weighed it up & decided "would we risk losing our current dream house & community & location (that's a large part) without knowing we had better to go to?" The answer is no. So we won't list ours. But that's a large part because we designed ours so we have BIG emotional ties to it 😂

Minster2012 · 26/09/2020 23:05

@notyetamumbuttrying no they say headaches, sore boobs, sleepless nights /vivid dreams & potential cramps are side effects of progesterone (waking up at around 2/3am is pretty well known) 😔🙄it's not great. But a google shows you can be progesterone intolerant and cause hives but I wasn't in feb & was on it a lot longer 🤷‍♀️

Minster2012 · 26/09/2020 23:05

Oh and those are all signs of pregnancy of course too so as per a normal symptom spot TWW 😂

notyetamumbuttrying · 27/09/2020 08:31

@Minster2012 progesterone sucks! I produce loads of the stuff as I get raging pmt a week before my period comes! How you feeling this morning?

Minster2012 · 27/09/2020 08:55

@notyetamumbuttrying what does the progesterone do to you? I'm waking up early now & obviously itching but least this time I'm only on it a week before transfer then the TWW until we know, but if it positive then it continues for weeks afterwards (no bad thing after a miscarriage)
