@BellaBella84 great that the EWCM is on cue, get DTD!!

RBCoxie · 16/10/2020 21:52

@Supermathsdoc anytime! That's exactly what we're here for 😊 It's completely natural to feel pressure on yourself to know exactly what's going on, I think a lot of women do the same - I can imagine it's heightened by knowing that you have one shot a month. I've had a google though and it says the egg can live up to 24 hours, so it looks like you're still well within the time frame! The sperm will just be meeting the egg as it travels down as opposed to already being there when you ovulate.

MummyToPrince · 17/10/2020 08:37

@Supermathsdoc There's no need to thank us we will always support you :-) it's definitely not game over, I was 1dpo yesterday and was already thinking the worst scenario! Ive gone back to being relaxed again now :-)

@MummyToPrince thanks so much! Yes I also feel more positive this morning. On the day he comes round it’s quite stressful - I’m convinced I’ll do something ‘wrong’

Pressures off now as there’s nothing I can do. I’ve never successfully done it on the day of ovulation as it’s a bit like I game of chicken and I can never leave it that late...!

My temp went up this morning so it was definitely yesterday that I ovulated.....good luck to everyone who’s ovulated and exciting times for everyone who’s in the run up. Sending lots of love and BFP vibes to everyone x

Supermathsdoc · 17/10/2020 09:02

@RBCoxie yes I’m really hoping thats what happened and they all got there super quick! I suppose it wouldn’t be called a miracle if there weren’t so many things that had to line up perfectly...

robodo · 17/10/2020 09:43

I really have my fingers crossed we all get bfp this month. I'm hoping to get mine on my child's first birthday or maybe the day before, hoping to hold off testing until then, I felt really positive this morning about it even talking to my OH about how we would announce, would he find out the sex etc so hopefully sticky beans all round xx

MummyToPrince · 17/10/2020 09:57

I'm all over the place this morning so Tuesday I got this on an OPK and didn't test for the rest of the day as little one was being a monkey, I assumed I hit peak over night because the following morning it was negative and the following day it was negative I then ran out of opks and ordered more to be delivered today so I've just done one and this is the result first pic was Tuesday then negatives now this? I don't know what to think today lol

Also on Wednesday I had ovulation pain 🤯 think it will be another dud month, sorry for being negative girls I just can't help it x

OP posts:
robodo · 17/10/2020 10:35

@MummyToPrince try to stay positive, continue testing today to see if it rises but this is still a negative opk so it doesn't mean your out, woman can have surges through the month with hormones that will show on opks but not necessarily be positive xx

MummyToPrince · 17/10/2020 10:46

@robodo thank you, I think it just made me doubt everything, if I go by my Ovia app which is saying I'm 2dpo then I've covered all my tracks but we will see x

OP posts:
Supermathsdoc · 17/10/2020 11:30

@MummyToPrince they can be very hard to interpret, it’s also tricky because it’s not as clear cut as a pregnancy test in the sense there always some LH around (as @robodo said) so we have to work out what a surge looks like. I try to see it as every cycle I learn a bit more about my body....

If you turn the packet over it tells you what sensitivity they are. One thing I did notice was it was harder for me to identify the surge on more sensitive sticks....

MummyToPrince · 17/10/2020 11:38

After having a chat to myself I think I just need to relax what will be will be and I just need to remember that I've done what I can :-) I said to myself last month that I wouldn't be like this this month 😂😂🤯 thank you so much xx

OP posts:
Supermathsdoc · 17/10/2020 15:09

@MummyToPrince that’s definitely a good approach. Be kind to yourself and know that you are doing all that you can and you have everything you need to make this happen x

MummyToPrince · 17/10/2020 16:47

@Supermathsdoc sorry for tmi but just been to the toilet and got quite a bit of creamy cm so I'm hoping Ovia is right! It's so hard to not over think things isn't it x

OP posts:
RBCoxie · 17/10/2020 17:15

@MummyToPrince sorry to hear you're having a crappy day! Your OPK from today is still negative - there's no doubt that the line is fainter than the control line - and your other symptoms match up with the Ovia app so I would definitely go by that. Absolutely no need to apologise for being negative - this is what we're here for 😊 I would say that the line today is fainter than the one on Tuesday if it helps! x

@robodo ah that would be lovely if you could celebrate on your little ones birthday too! I'm keeping everything crossed for you 🤞🏼

So I forgot to do an early afternoon OPK today but did one just now aaaaand....think I'm getting there!!!! 😊 so excited!! It actually looks darker now than it did when I took the photo so it may even be peak, but time will tell - will take more tomorrow!

MummyToPrince · 17/10/2020 17:41

@RBCoxie Omggggg!!! Your OPK has cheered me up so much!!! I'm so bloody excited for you 🎉🤞 get DTD as much as possible :-D x

OP posts:
RBCoxie · 17/10/2020 17:56

@MummyToPrince thank you!! Definitely going to DTD tonight - we were DTD every night anyway but definitely going to make sure we carry on now for the next few days. Shows that I am definitely not someone with a gradual peak 😂 all or nothing! How're you feeling lovely? x

MummyToPrince · 17/10/2020 18:06

@RBCoxie No there's definitely no gradual line haha! How exciting! I'm good, you know how it is one minute your fine and then next you've over analysed everything and think the worst 😂 so thinking about it you won't be that far behind me will you? X

OP posts:
RBCoxie · 17/10/2020 18:27

@MummyToPrince completely know that feeling! I'm already worried that my OH is having quite a few drinks tonight and therefore his sperm will be crap quality tonight 😂 only a few days behind you! If you're 2DPO today I should be ovulating tomorrow so I'll be 3-4 days behind you - depending on when I ovulate. Going to continue to take OPKs so I can see if I actually ovulate or not. I thought it was going to be more like a week behind you - yaaaay! x

MummyToPrince · 17/10/2020 18:41

@RBCoxie it's madness what our minds do to us! I'm worrying a little but I keep saying to myself what will be will be x

OP posts:
RBCoxie · 17/10/2020 18:46

@MummyToPrince totally! Apart from DTD, there is absolutely nothing we can do! Doesn't help that I worry about absolutely everything any way either 😂 x

MummyToPrince · 17/10/2020 18:51

@RBCoxie it's madness isn't it 🤦‍♀️ I hope this next week doesn't drag x

So long as my covid test is negative me my partner and my son are going to see our gran next Saturday and staying until Sunday as we've not seen her since Christmas (we live 3 hours apart) she does enjoy a glass of wine and we always have a glass of wine and play cards on a night time, I will be 9dpo I think and I need an excuse for not wanting a glass of wine 😂 it's got to be a good one

BellaBella84 · 17/10/2020 20:33

Oh my days @MummyToPrince @RBCoxie @Supermathsdoc @robodo Your OPK sticks confuse me so much, I don't know how you guys manage to keep your shit together trying to interpret those! Also thank you for your prayers to the on call Gods, romantic night in was successfully achieved without interruptions! 😁
