Hi everyone. I’m CD 30 on cycle two. Trying for our first baby.

MrsCrumbtious · 01/09/2020 15:28

Joining the bus again!

Just ov’d today and AF won’t be landing on the 16th haha!

TTC baby #2. Our first baby took 4 years to conceive so hoping this one won’t take too long!

The month we fell pregs with our DD I used TMI a vibrator to give the ‘goods’ a helping hand to get to where they needed to go. Tried it again this month fingers crossed it works for us.

GL to all of you! Xx

Ttc2020no2 · 01/09/2020 15:36

@SarahMumof1DS thank you so much for your chart hun, that was very helpful to me. I'm due af on sun/mon so if i don't get a pos this month we will both be only a week apart for end of September Smile I had my son at 34, I'm sure you will be fine. Maybe try pressed and also look into ubiquinol. It is supposed to be good for egg quality. Personally i think wait just that little bit longer before medicating hun, you do have time and i think you'll be fine xx

Bizawit · 01/09/2020 16:30

@Orlandoflorida1 me too! Grin

SarahMumof1DS · 01/09/2020 16:31

@Ttc2020no2 you're very welcome, I'm glad it helped. Well I hope you do get your BFP but if not we can keep ourselves positive for September Smile. That gives me hope, I had my son at 34 as well, so hopefully I'll still be good now I'm nearly 2 years on. Yes I was thinking maybe wait until I see the doctors and then maybe start the meds/supplements after speaking to them. Give the doctors a clear slate before I see them so they can see I've tried only using folic acid. Only got till October to see them anyway.
Fx for your BFP! Keep me updated on symptoms if you have any in between and your temps etc. xx

Orlandoflorida1 · 01/09/2020 16:52

Oo @Bizawit! We dtd last night and will again tonight!

Ttc2020no2 · 01/09/2020 17:50

@SarahMumof1DS I will so hun. Sore boobs and af cramps today lol. Take Vit D too hun. I think those are the two they recommend x

LT103 · 01/09/2020 17:59

Sorry to hear those who think af is coming. Hoping for lots of September bfps!!!!

I’m 9dpo with a very odd temp chart this month. I normally just have high temp until af due but had a big dip last 3 days then back up today! No spotting yet either which is unusual for me at this point. Will test tomorrow or Friday to see.

I’ve never been pregnant so I guess I don’t know what to look out for but I don’t feel pregnant if that makes sense. Other than the no spotting I feel like my usual cycle so will see what happens next few days. Af due on the 4th/5th so Will know soon enough!

Orlandoflorida1 · 01/09/2020 18:21

@LT103 fingers crossed for a bfp for you. I didn’t feel pregnant until about 6 weeks when all the nausea and tiredness kicked in! Then at 12 weeks when that went I didn’t feel pregnant again!

Ttc2020no2 · 01/09/2020 19:00

@LT103 hey hun I'm 10dpo and feel no symptoms except af cramping. My temp went down today too. Fx hun, when i had my son i knew nothing until 13 weeks! Are you having any symptoms at all? I have slightest pain in boobs xx

Orlandoflorida1 · 01/09/2020 19:59

These are my OPK the first is from just now the other 2 were this afternoon....would you say they’re positive?

LT103 · 01/09/2020 20:03

@Orlandoflorida1 I’d say thy e one on the right is def a peak! I keep testing twice a day until it starts to go down again just in case but I’d def say it’s a peak

Orlandoflorida1 · 01/09/2020 20:12

@LT103 the two on the right were both done from the same wee...I don’t always trust the cheap strips! I’m gonna go with it as I think ovulation is defo due this week but I’ve not had any change in my bbt

Moandy · 01/09/2020 20:18

I'm hopping on! TTC #2 Stupidly tested yesterday at 8dpo, even though I always tell people not to!! Think I'm out this month. Just got a feeling.

Emmie12345 · 01/09/2020 20:25

@Ttc2020no2 thank you ! I am on month 1 of ubiquinol so will keep fingers crossed !

Tested earlier and bfn still so it must be just a long cycle (

Will temp next cycle ! X

turtola · 01/09/2020 20:34

With an average 33 day cycle (but not regular- been anywhere from 26 to 37 days), which cd would you start testing with an opk? Think I ovulated cd17 last month. Only been using opk for one cycle so far.

SarahMumof1DS · 01/09/2020 21:17

I think I might have changed my mind about taking the supplements @Ttc2020no2 if it gives me better chances then I think I might go get some. Does the pregnacare have everything you need in it or is there anything extra I can get? I was going to go to the pharmacy tomorrow and speak to them and see what they recommend. I read about the ubiquinol and it sounds like a good one to take but it didn't seem to be included in the pregnacare ingredients. Can you take that as well as the pregnacare?

SarahMumof1DS · 01/09/2020 21:22

@Ttc2020no2 ah sore boobs and cramps symptoms for both pregnancy and AF so frustrating lol. Only a few more days to wait. Will you start testing soon? x

Pebbleinthesand · 01/09/2020 22:00

We're TTC #2. I've worked out my cycles are regular now after having the coil out mid July so this is the first month TTC rather than NTNP. I got pregnant first cycle of trying with DD so fingers crossed it'll be as quick this time, although being 4 years older might hinder that.

Ttc2020no2 · 02/09/2020 07:55

@SarahMumof1DS morning hun. There is only a small amount in pregnacare so it may be worth topping up with another but do abit of research what is best for you. I take 200mg per day plus try and eat avacados too as they are supposed to be a good fertility food. I seem to keep eating atm lol need to get my weight down abit. I took my temp at 4am and i was 36.19 so gutted, I'm 10dpo and gone down alot now and I'm due on on sunday/monday. I think if nothing by christmas I'm going to try ivf. Its just so expensive. I've gone through my doctor so its saved abit doing it that way. Where I'm 42 now i don't want to leave it much longer. Are u in uk hun? I'm on south coast near Portsmouth x

SarahMumof1DS · 02/09/2020 08:44

@Ttc2020no2 morning Hun, thanks for the tips. I'll do some research and speak to the pharmacist too see what they say. I love avocado and usually eat it most days but past week iv not been eating my usual diet. I need to shift about a stone at least. Me and my DH have just started a new diet yesterday after our friend's recommendation (they've been doing it and have lost weight and look fab!) so we thought we'd give it a go. I can get the details for you if you fancy it.
I'm so sorry to hear your temp is dropping. It's hard to tell what's going on and waiting for AF is agonising. It's hard enough without having to find money to get help. I totally understand why you don't want to waste any time. I'm ok thanks, my AF is tailing off today so gearing up for next ov. My temp went back up to 36.2 this morning and I thought oh have I ov'd?? But then looking at my previous months charts it seems my temp does that after AF and then gradually drops before ov and shoots up after ov.
I'm in Essex Hun a few hours away.
Keep me updated on how your going. Fx for your temp going back up 🤞🏼 xx

WantABunInTheOven · 02/09/2020 09:44

Hey @Ttc2020no2 and @Emmie12345
A fellow over 40 here (45). I have an adopted son so ttc #1!!!
Fingers crossed we get our BFP this cycle. X

Supermathsdoc · 02/09/2020 10:11

@Dollybird89 I think when it comes to testing for ovulation people try a few cycles and find what works for them.

I bought the OneStep sticks from home health and they are very cheap. They come in different sensitivities, for my first cycle I tried 20IU/mL and found they were very sensitive so every test was a bit positive. Now I use the 30IU/mL.

I test the second urine of the day which for me is around 1200, from day 10 and then from day 12 I test 0800, 1200 and 2000

Other people use the digital ones I think rely less on personal interpretation and so for some people provide more certainty. For me I find seeing the LH line progression useful in planning, especially when taken together with other markers (temp, CM) etc but I’m using a donor so for me it’s much more technical as a whole.

Currently AF is 5 days late following a brief and very early chemical and so I feel very confused about how to plan the next cycle.

Ttc2020no2 · 02/09/2020 16:24

@SarahMumof1DS lol thats great you love avocado, me too and its so good for fertility too. I'd love to lose 2 stone just so I can fit into my a million dresses I cant now wear. It just creeps up from now where my weight lol. I know Essex well as I have family there.
Yes please I'd love any tips for dieting. I lost 3 stone before and basically I didn't eat much lol but I guess not the most healthy of ways.
I've had a constant stomach ache now for 2 days, my boots are abit tender too. I'm hoping my bbt may raise tomorrow to feel a it more hope Wink I'm due on Sunday. Do you temp orally? I do. I used to use opulence and OMG its brilliant huh and so easy but I'm not doing that atm. Have a look into it hun. Joined the fb group too was brilliant.x

SarahMumof1DS · 02/09/2020 17:14

@Ttc2020no2 I didn't realise avocado was good for fertility until recently so it's good I already like eating them. Argh tell me about it I can't fit into a lot of my clothes anymore and it's a little depressing. This diet is called the six pack revolution and it's mostly about the diet and only a little exercise according to my DH. It's been a bit of a shock eating smaller portions but you have 3 meals and 3 snacks a day so you're eating more regularly, so I guess it takes the edge off. I feel like I've never really got rid of my mum tum and getting fed up about that. I can only wear certain shape clothing or I just bulge out at the belly area 🙈.
You're symptoms could be promising, I hope you get a better temp tomorrow.
Yeah i temp orally. What's Opulence? I've not heard of it.
When abouts in Essex are your family? x
