Thanks all ! Am now wondering if it’s just a weird cycle due to age .. probably!

Good luck to you all xx

PileofToss · 01/09/2020 00:57

Hi all! I’d like to get on too if that’s ok 👋

I’m 33 and TTC for the first time. Been off the injection since March, AF started up again a couple of months after that and now I’m in a normal cycle.

I’m so excited but so nervous!

Ttc2020no2 · 01/09/2020 04:32

@SarahMumof1DS hey hun no feel same as you xx are u temping xx

LaceyMermaid · 01/09/2020 08:06

@SarahMumof1DS sorry af got you, it got me too!

Bizawit · 01/09/2020 08:46

Hi guys, wonder if anyone can help. I’m using advanced digital clear blue ovulation sticks. Last two days I got an empty circle and then this morning went straight to a solid smiley face! No flashing faces. What does this mean? Wondering a) does this mean I might have missed this month/ started too late? b) does this mean my hormones are out of balance (low oestrogen) and might this affect my chances?

samantha06 · 01/09/2020 09:16

Welcome to all the new guys! Lovely theres so many of us! Good luck to everyone this month, sorry already to see some AFS arriving😔

Hey @Ttc2020no2 yeah I'm temping. I was tempted to stop in case it was stressing me out but then I thought it's vital for knowing I've ovulated and when so will keep going. Are you temping?

SarahMumof1DS · 01/09/2020 09:26

@LaceyMermaid I'm sorry AF got you too. Let's hope a successful September!

Ttc2020no2 · 01/09/2020 09:49

@Emmie12345 I'm 42 hun. I think mu af is due on time. I wish you all the best. May i ask how old you are? Xx

Ttc2020no2 · 01/09/2020 09:52

@SarahMumof1DS yes i am hun. I'm certain I'm out this month, due af on friday and my temps have dipped. So disappointed tbh, it has been 9 months, i have one son who is 7, im 42 and my partner has no children. I'm at a loss what i else i can do? My temp was only 36.40 today, what is your temp hun? What pre natal do you take? I had a very good one but expensive but I've changed to pregnacare now xx

Emmie12345 · 01/09/2020 10:05

@Ttc2020no2 hiii I am prob too old at 47! I am v blessed with 3 children but would love one with my new partner
Periods have been regular (till now !) forgot to test using fmu so waiting now till a bit later this morning . Don’t feel pg tho !
Good luck to you ! Xxx

Emmie12345 · 01/09/2020 10:08

@Ttc2020no2 I’m going to start temping next month although I am so late it makes me think am not even ovulating ?

SarahMumof1DS · 01/09/2020 11:04

@Ttc2020no2 do you know what your cover line temp is? If you go below that then it's usually a sign of AF but if your still above yours then you should still be ok. I know it's disheartening when you see your temp dip but just have to keep a positive mind until you see a few dips of temp which I find usually indicates AF, but I have also seen stories of temps dipping then shooting back up and then BFP shortly after. So you're not out till AF arrives. My cover line is usually around 36.40 but it's different for everyone. Do you have an app that pinpoints it? Mine creates crosshairs in red so I can clearly see where my upper range of temps are. It's a rollercoaster of emotions when your chart looks like a rollercoaster too!
Also have you been to the doctors as they can do tests on you and possibly help you get pregnant. Women who are 36 and over who have been trying for 6 months can get investigations done. Or have you already done that? I'm only taking folic acid currently. xx

Emmie12345 · 01/09/2020 11:09

@SarahMumof1DS will the docs do investigations if you are as old as me ? 47 x

Iloveoreos · 01/09/2020 11:23

Hi ladies. Can i jump on this bus too :)

Ive done very few posts here and there so fairly new.

Quick question, i did opk test and threw it away jn the bin in about 2 min or so as it seemed negative. Next day while chucking something in the bin, I saw it had turned to a positive! Is that possible or is the test not valid after 12hrs ?

Ttc2020no2 · 01/09/2020 12:27

@SarahMumof1DS thank you hun for your reply, I'm unsure of my coverline as i only started temping cd16 i think. I had an mc in may and my temp was way higher, i think about 37 so i feel I'm out but who knows. I was 13 weeks before i knew with my son 7 years ago lol. I have been to doctors and so has partner and we are both perfectly fine. I think its just a case of getting that right egg lol. When are you due af hun? I'm due friday/sat. I've just ordered some concieve plus lube to see if that helps at all as i don't seem to getting the ewcm as much anymore (getting old lol) its so hard to know the right thing to do. I use flo and another app for my fertile days and ill start to add my temps i think now too. Omg the fun and games lol xx

Ttc2020no2 · 01/09/2020 12:30

@Emmie12345 hey hun there is a clinic in london that goes to 50. If you still get periods hun there is always a chance. Have a look into ubiquinol. It is supposed to improve egg quality x

MamaPheebz · 01/09/2020 12:31

Well it is the 1st of September. September here we come! I hope this is our month. I’m still awaiting AF after my miscarriage but keep getting headaches so don’t think it is too far away now.
What vitamins is everyone taking? I’ve continued with Pregnacare Original. Is there anything else I should be taking to increase my chances? X

Bizawit · 01/09/2020 12:51

@Iloveoreos I don’t think the tests are valid after that amount of time

SarahMumof1DS · 01/09/2020 14:15
@SarahMumof1DS will the docs do investigations if you are as old as me ? 47 x
I'm not sure if there's an age limit but I would imagine if you have periods and are ovulating then you can get pregnant and they must be able to help surely, at least investigate. Smile

SarahMumof1DS · 01/09/2020 14:52

@Ttc2020no2 yeah it helps to start temping at the beginning of your cycle so you can see a shift in temps indicating ovulation, but keeping temping as you may still be able to use the data to refer to and maybe see a pattern where your lowest temp sits at during your post ovulation phase. That will be your coverline. I'm not sure if your cover line can change from month to month but mine seems to sit at around 36.40. I've attached a pic of my chart so you can see my last month temps. Are you doing ovulation tests? If so you can at least see a rough point where you ovulated this month and see where you're temps are from that point.

I use P Tracker app and you can switch it to TTC mode for free and add your temps each day to the calendar. Then it automatically puts it into a chart for you and then once you've ovulated a coverline usually appears. It's a helpful feature.

It's a good sign that you've been told you're both fine. Did they look at your eggs and see if they are good quality? Did they give you any advice on supplements or anything to help your chances?
I keep hoping I have good eggs at this stage, I'm 36 but that's when they say your eggs can start to fall in quality and I also have early menopause in my family. If we're not successful by October the doctor said they'll send me for tests but if they tell me I'm ok then I wouldn't know what else to do but keep trying. I often wonder if my eggs are ok or if my womb is not supporting implantation properly, but I guess we need more tries to see if it's even either of them. We just have to keep going and stay positive! x

Hi everyone.. First post after reading lots of discussions, currently on cycle day 43. So about 10/11 days late. On average have cycles around 32 days.. Though I've had them as long as 38 before. Still getting bfn.. Suffering with extreme lower back pain atm, Drs advice to keep testing and take codine as and when needed... It's so frustrating being in limbo. Had chemical pregnancy back in April. And been ttc since March. Currently using the cheap tests from amazon.. Are they reliable or should I try alternatives?
