Hi everyone,

Setting up the new thread for us - we have come a long way since January and sadly a few of us are still on the "journey". Let's hope we arent here for much longer. Wishing us all baby dust (although its been so long I am not sure dust will do it for me - maybe will have to up the particle size to "baby sand" )

Hi everyone. I had a miscarriage at 8 weeks at beginning of December. Today I've had really sharp pains and been getting high ovulation test results so wondering is this ovulation? Even though my period should be due this weeks as it's 4 weeks after miscarriage bleeding. Has anyone had longer cycles after miscarriage

Annny27 · 28/12/2020 10:32

Its kinda cool not knowing when I am ovulating this month - I kinda know its around now but I dont know for sure!

@Babyghirl I'll definitely be having a glass of wine to welcome in 2021 haha

@Hopefulmummie sorry to hear about your miscarriage 💗 my first cycle after my miscarriage was about 6 weeks and then it went back to a normal 4 week cycle after my first period xx

Babyghirl · 28/12/2020 11:05

@Annny27
I will be doing the same the new year lol ovulation will be happening soon for me 😁😁😁😁
@hopefulmummie
Sorry you find yourself on this group but glad you found us for support it can take 4 to 6 weeks for your cycle to return after a loss as it can take your hcg levels a while to return bck to norm xx

27DONFIN · 29/12/2020 16:42

@Hopefulmummie so sorry to hear that. How are you feeling? My period came bang on 4 weeks after I mc

How’s everyone else doing? I’m back at work today and spent most of it googling private medical tests. We are waiting on the results from Nhs of my partners sample and I have no patience. I contacted a private hospital and I could see an gynaecologist as soon as tomorrow for a consultation. Not spoke to my partner about it don’t know if to wait for his results first and then see what the Gp says about next steps and timescales etc I just really want an internal scan to check Iv no issues as right now it feel ttc is a waste of time of something is wrong. Anyone here went private?

Hopefulmummie · 29/12/2020 16:57

@Annny27 @babyghirl @27DONFIN

Suppose it's different for everyone.

Doing ok though today would have been my 12 week scan so found today rough. I had an ectopic pregnancy In June so 2 losses in 6 months

Annny27 · 29/12/2020 16:58

Evening ladies :) still getting some ewcm so reckon I am on the tail end of ovulation now. Got my letter through and my next nhs fertility appointment is in February. Not sure what they will say tbh haha

@babyghirl do you have time off atm or back in work?

@27DONFIN have you not had an ultrasound on the NHS yet? Its deffo worth going private if you can afford it. But what I will say is that its only worth the urgency if you would also pay for private treatment e.g. ivf if required.

As even if you get a test done privately you will have to wait to same amount of time for nhs treatment if that makes sense?

27DONFIN · 29/12/2020 19:29

@Annny27 thanks I hadn’t thought of it like that. No all Iv had is bloods to check I was ovulating then they said we had to get my partner checked before they’d do any further checks on me. So once we have those il push for more tests on me. Just worried after our mc last year that somethings been left behind blocking a tube or something.

Babyghirl · 29/12/2020 19:50

Hopefulmummie · 01/01/2021 08:47

Happy new year everyone. Here's hoping 2021 brings us all what we want.

Did anyones AF take longer to arrive after miscarriage? It's been 30 days since my miscarriage and still no sign..I normally have regular 28 day cycle.
Just want to come so I know everything is back to normal and we can try again

Babyghirl · 01/01/2021 09:11

@hopefulmummie
I did after first loss can take up to 4 to 6 weeks for your period to come, my period this time came 29 days after my miscarriage bleeding started but 2nd period came 24 day days l8r can take a while for your body to recover and get back in to rhythm so all normal so don't be worrying you will get there unless you get a bfp before your period is due.

Babyghirl · 01/01/2021 09:21

Well think ovulation has happened breasts r tender I'm nw on CD13 so think I'm in the dreaded 2ww lol but really not tracking in any shape or form. Just my breasts normally get tender after ovulation has occurred 🙏🤞🍀💚, Where's all the rest of you ladies at in ur cycle. It has took me nearly a year each time to fall so nt counting on it being any quicker this time around so just 9 months to go 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂.

Leok83 · 01/01/2021 09:41

Happy New Years ladies!!🎉

I'm hoping so much for you all that this is the year for all of your rainbow babies! 💕

@Annny27 I hope the results of your DHs SA come back good this time. It's definitely your time now after all the support you gave us ladies over the last year.xx

@Hopefulmummie don't worry too much about your period yet, mine took about 8 weeks to start up after ERPC at 9 weeks as my hcg levels were so slow to drop (was still getting positive tests after 8 weeks, had my period and they came up negative out a week later). Sometimes the body just needs more time to recover. I remember being so stressed at the time about it all as I just desperately wanted to start trying again but things sorted themselves out eventually.

Nuggetlover27 · 01/01/2021 11:11

Happy new year ladies.
Here's hoping 2021 has lots of rainbows 🌈 💕

Annny27 · 01/01/2021 17:01

Happy new year ladies :D I was just saying on another thread that I recently turned 29 and my username is a reminder that I was 27 when I started! Should be anny29 now 🤣🙈

@SunnySideUp2020 thank you lovely! I really hope so, we are feeling positive and keeping our spirits up 🙏🙏

@leok83 hope so - he has been wearing ugly baggy boxers that remind me of my dads pants haha. So hopefully less heat has done something for the sperm 🤞 his analysis is mid January so will get results start of Feb I think

@Babyghirl that was a quick ovulation :D I thought I was ovulating at Christmas but I wasn't but now am having lots and lots of ewcm so probably ovulating at the moment. So we will be sort of cycle buddies!

@Nuggetlover27 how are you getting on lovely? Hope you have a nice Christmas

@Hopefulmummie mine took about 45 days to come back after miscarriage when it usually is about 28-32 days. So it can take some time:)

@27DONFIN did you decide ont he private consultation? Yeah thats strange that they haven't done an ultrasound exam on nhs yet

ELM7 · 01/01/2021 19:11

Hi Ladies let’s hope 2021 is a much better year for us all. 🌈❤️

Sorry I’ve been so quiet but just needed a break away from MN.

So we had a nhs scan just before Christmas and was measuring a couple of weeks behind where we should be and I was very sure of my dates so knew it wasn’t going to be a good outcome. Managed to put it to the back of our minds and enjoy our Christmas Day with friends and family.

Went back for a scan yesterday and was really surprised to find that our bean had grown ever so slightly (although not as much as it should of done) so had this little glimmer of hope although was still stuck in limbo with another scan booked for 2 weeks time.

Unfortunately that glimmer of hope was extinguished in the early hours of this morning where I’m pretty sure I have now had a miscarriage (what a way to bring in the new year!😢)

Feeling sad but yet somehow at peace with it as at least we aren’t in limbo anymore and this little bean just wasn’t meant to be. Will see how things go over the next week or so and take a test before due the next scan and hope it’s negative. (Never thought I’d be back in the position of hoping for a negative test again!)

Hope you are all ok and have been able to enjoy some festivities in what has been the end of a difficult and very strange year. xx

This came up today on a stupid word game I play but it feels very apt.

Wildswimmer2020 · 01/01/2021 19:17

Hi,

I'm new to this thread. I had a missed miscarriage in August at about 7 weeks, we had only started ttc in June so got pregnant very quickly. We found out we were pregnant again I. October and I was feeling more confident this time. Had an early scan beginning of December due to a kidney infection (reoccurring problem) and it showed the baby was a lot further behind that our dates suggested. We had a further scan just before Christmas and although the baby hadn't particularly grown they thought they could see a heartbeat so now have another scan on Tuesday.

Really thought we'd get some closure from the second scan so Christmas and New year has been difficult. Not feeling very confident at all as I know I should be around 13 weeks now but do still feel pregnant.

Nuggetlover27 · 01/01/2021 21:08

@Annny27 I'm doing okay although pregnancy announcements seem to be everywhere at the moment! Currently 6DPO. Sore boobs as always but nothing to write home about.
Christmas didn't feel right this year but was nice to have a break from work!
I turn 28 this year. I can't believe it. When I was younger I would say I want kids no later than 30 and wanna have them at like 23 and here I am almost 28 and still none!
Hope your ov is this week, and hope your oh sa is positive. I'm going to have to contact the drs soon and book in for my swab so we can move forwards. I haven't been given a scan on the nhs either just bloods and oh sa.
I've been putting off changing drs since I moved 5 years ago as I've had the same one since I was born but think I'm gonna have to change to one closer to me because it's just more stress worrying about them sending letters to mums house when we get referred to a specialist. I don't know if I will have to start with the tests again though if I move? 😩

Oh no! So sorry @ELM7 I was really hoping for good news for you ❤️

@Wildswimmer2020 so sorry to find you here and you're having a difficult journey 💐

Babyghirl · 02/01/2021 01:16

@Annny27
CD 14 today for me lol do you think ovulation has occurred for u yet?
@ELM7
Love the saying sorry to read your bad news 😪💚
@wildswimmer2020
Sorry to c you have had to find yourself here but the support is unreal from everyone on this chat how many weeks r you measuring now will have my fingers crossed that bean catches up. 🍀💚

Taskmasterlover · 02/01/2021 08:43

(changed my name - was previously wild swimmer) well from my period I should be around 13 weeks now :( so we will see what happens on Tuesday. Having very real pregnancy symptoms which is either a good sign or very cruel of my body...
