Hey ladies,

Thought I'd start a new thread for anyone new to this like me 🙋🏼‍♀️

We're TTC after a change of plans when COVID postponed our wedding 🙄

Currently cycle 1 of TTC WITH AF due in 3 days.. I think I can feel it coming tbh.

Didn't use any form of ovulation tracker other than Flo (which I've used to track period for years) this cycle.

Hey ladies,

AF due today and I feel like i can feel it coming and had all the symptoms but not here yet.

Last night I was super nauseous and actually sick. I'm not normally a sicky person and that's definitely the first time this year I've thrown up!

Trying to stay positive 🤞🏽🤞🏽

Good luck @beckyBP - sounds positive! 😊

Congratulations @Kristy17! 😊

I've also just started TTC for the first time. I'm onto cycle #3 since we stopped using birth control but cycle #2 of properly "trying'. I'm in my fertile window atm according to apps, but no positive OPK yet. This month is my husband and I's first wedding anniversary so it would be lovely to fall pregnant but I'm not getting my hopes up 😂 Last month I totally convinced myself I was pg from all the symtpom spotting, only to be surprised by AF arriving early... brutal! I'm trying to keep chill and relaxed this month.

beckyBP · 24/07/2020 10:51

Thanks @acaciabluebell !

Ah how lovely would that be to have that as an anniversary present 🥰

Eurgh.. it really is such a hard and brutal experience and we're still so new to it all!! Xx

I brought some ovulation predictor tests today, CD 9 today and there is a faintish line. AsI have quite short cycles it thinks I’ll ovulate on CD 12 so will hopefully see the lines get darker in the next few days!

I’m so interested to know if I am actually ovulating. We used condoms with the mini pill for years because I didn’t completely trust it 😂 be typical if it had stopped ovulating all along and still is.

PinkPlantCase · 24/07/2020 17:11

@beckyBP surely feeling sick is good sign!! (Maybe) Fingers crossed for you x

beckyBP · 24/07/2020 17:14

@PinkPlantCase ooo let us know how it goes.
It's crazy isn't it. We get told all our lives "be careful not to get pregnant' and it's actually so not that easy 🙈

I think I'm going to go and get a test xx

OP posts:
PinkPlantCase · 24/07/2020 17:19

@beckyBP do you know when we’re meant to test? I think I remember reading that it’s at least 2 weeks after a missed period but I’m not sure.

It’ll be a shame if you test too soon and get a negative. Though in your shoes I think I’d get a test too, I’m so impatient!

beckyBP · 24/07/2020 18:24

@PinkPlantCase some tests can show up to 6 days before missed period. I think I'd personally only test the day of if it hadn't come. X

Morning ladies,

I took a CB test this morning as still no AF (Not common for me to be late) and I THINK I saw a super faint line.

Has anyone ever checked if you can see a super faint line prior to testing and I wondering if it's just the outline of the line ready does that make sense?

This is my first ever test!

OP posts:
Marden11302 · 25/07/2020 13:12

@beckyBP I’ve checked before and not seen anything but just the once
Cycle day 38 and still no AF, driving me crazy

beckyBP · 26/07/2020 15:06

Hey ladies,

Hope we're all ok. AF arrived with a bang this morning and brought along aalllll the cramps!

I'm fine about it tbh as it was our first cycle but I want to be more prepared for the next. I'm going to get some ovulation strips I think. Any recommendations? Xxx

OP posts:
PinkPlantCase · 26/07/2020 18:12

@beckyBP Hope you aren’t too down OP! At least now you know for sure.

I bought these [https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/B01HFBWQH6?psc=1&ref=ppx_pop_mob_b_asin_title]

Been using these for a few days so far, so obviously can’t comment if they help you be successful 😂 the apps quite good, it stores photos of the sticks and works out a figure for how much LH the stick shows and then plots it on a graph. I think there’s a few brands that do this though.

So far I had 2 day of lowish levels of LH and then today on CD 11 it’s gone down, so hoping it goes up again!

I was reading that there’s quite a broad spectrum of what’s normal for LH so guess I just need to learn how my body goes about it all. I had some really late nights with work this week so have no idea if that impacts things.

Fingers cross for ovulation next week!

Marden11302 · 26/07/2020 18:19

Still no AF, but I reckon tomorrow or Tuesday she’ll be here!
I’ve bought some conceive plus to try for next month, a friend was trying for a while and used that and fell on the first go using it so fingers crossed!

TTCBaby1 · 26/07/2020 18:26

Hi ladies... I’m on cycle day 19 of a 25 day cycle. Had some strange cramping and boobs have been so sore. Anyone else had any symptoms? Trying not to get my hopes up on 2nd month TTC 🙈xx

Meg87 · 26/07/2020 19:12

Hello, hope it's ok for me to join Smile

My partner and I have decided to TTC our first (I can definitely relate to whoever said they were feeling a bit daunted by it all, even typing out that sentence has got me feeling weird! Confused).

I'm on CD7 of cycle #1, so haven't done any active trying... yet..! My cycles have gone a bit weird, too. In the last 10 months they've ranged from 26 to 35 days, with the last three being 31, 34 and 35, so they seem to be getting longer! I haven't got any ovulation tests but with my unpredictable cycles this could be a good idea. I'm just trying to stay quite chilled about it all (though really not succeeding Grin) so I'm reluctant to do too much tracking and monitoring, but let's see how long that lasts!

Plm28 · 26/07/2020 19:14

Can I join :) hi everyone!

Currently on my first cycle after coming off the pill end of June. Using a tracker but being on BC for 10 years I have no clue with tracking periods just yet. I've had some cramping which doesn't feel like my usual period pains, but then this will be my first period off BC.

LemonDrizzle44 · 26/07/2020 19:28

Hi ladies!

This is my first proper cycle TTC. I came off the pill in January. Not been tracking my ovulation until this month. Previously was monitoring EWCM and ovulation pain. My cycles are usually 27-31 days (I think I ovulate CD14-17 usually). Last month had a 36 day cycle so have now decided to track my BBT.

I'm now CD16/3DPO (so have ovulated earlier than I thought. DTD CD12&14, so have my fingers crossed and hope I've caught it. Now I'm symptom spotting like mad. Baby dust to everyone!

beckyBP · 26/07/2020 21:18

Thanks @PinkPlantCase I've ordered some and I've ordered some fertility supplements too 🤞🏽 I know it's only cycle 2 so I may be being excessive but ah well! 🤞🏽 for you! Let me know!

@Marden11302 🤞🏽 to not AF for you!!! That's good to know about conceive plus! I've just spent £50 on supplements 🙈

Welcome @TTCBaby1, @Meg87 , @Plm28 , @LemonDrizzle44

@TTCBaby1 symptoms are definitely a good sign. When would AF be due normally? Have you taken a test or is it too early for you?

@Meg87 you are me a month ago!! My cycles are also quite varied looking back over my flo cycle graph! I definitely said I was super chill about it and now I'm a psycho 😂 I'm CD 1 now of 2nd cycle TTC so I've ordered a load of supplements and ovulation tests. They certainly can't harm can they!

Hey @Plm28 I'd definitely recommend ovulation tests! I think the sooner the better really. Wish I had last month. I used flo and assumed it would be accurate but I've read it can be pretty off!

@LemonDrizzle44 you've got the system down by the sound of things! Well done. Massive 🤞🏽🤞🏽🤞🏽 for you and let us know how it goes. How hard is it to not symptom spot though! 🙈

OP posts:
TTCBaby1 · 26/07/2020 21:24

@beckyBP Tuesday will be my earliest day to test 😬🤞 I really hope this is our cycle, trying to stay chilled but it’s so hard!

beckyBP · 26/07/2020 21:26

@TTCBaby1 it is SO hard isn't it. I don't know about you but the whole thing is still exciting atm. I'm sure it gets very old very quickly!! Xx

OP posts:
TTCBaby1 · 26/07/2020 21:56

Totally... I hope my body is just adjusting to coming off the implant I don’t think I could cope with TWW for years 😭 So much respect for couples that have difficulty conceiving now we know it isn’t so easy for it to happen! xx

beckyBP · 26/07/2020 22:25

@TTCBaby1 you're so right. Pre-TTC the time seemed to fly between periods now I'm like COME ON! It would be so awful to have to wait years and a I really feel for anyone in that position currently. It's crazy how easy you think it'll be growing up and you spend your life trying not to get pregnant.

doublecheeseburgermediumfries · 27/07/2020 12:50

Hi everyone, is it ok to join?

We've been very whatever happens happens for a long while and nothing actually happened so we're going for it this month.

Last month I used the clear blue digits
Ovulation tests to see when my ovulation period is as I have quite long cycles usually 35 day+. I got my first smiley on day 18 and then by day 22 it was gone, I never reached peak! This month I got my first smiley today so hoping that I get a static smiley this time in a few days 😅🤞

Meg87 · 27/07/2020 13:51

@beckyBP Well I'm thinking I might order some ovulation tests now as it will definitely help a lot with planning. Hopefully it'll make the whole thing less stressful rather than more stressful as having the knowledge of when you're ovulating will remove a whole cycle's worth of uncertainty. It was only yesterday evening that I said I wasn't going to monitor/track anything, so that didn't last long! I know that if you dtd frequently enough then that's the best chance of getting pregnant, but DP and I definitely go for periods of several days without, due to tiredness, being busy, just not feeling it, whatever, and I wouldn't want that to happen if I was ovulating! You'll have to keep us updated when you take your tests 😃

Hi @doublecheeseburgermediumfries, what day of your cycle are you on? Out of interest (and as I'm completely new to this!), does a flashing smiley indicate a slight LH rise, whereas a static one indicates it's over a certain level and you're therefore about to ovulate? 🤞 you get your static smiley!

beckyBP · 27/07/2020 15:00

Hey @doublecheeseburgermediumfries of course it is!

Love your go for it attitude! get DTD now as best to do it before ovulation anyway! My fiancé said the other day 'I read it's best to do it three times a day with TTC' I was like yeah I bet you did pal 😏 😂😂
