Hey! Looks like our thread filled up

@Positivity2019 @Wearenotyourkind @hwotsit @jx0x0

@Wearenotyourkind nothing us women can't handle. It was just like an uncomfortable smear but nothing to faint over how some women were saying it was but then again everyone is different. I didn't feel the dye go in or anything :)
How are you?? X

@Missgoldilocks what amazing news about your mum. You must be relieved. I would love to go to Italy at some point though no hols planned at the moment. Maybe we can get away next year.
I hate it when you are mid way through the month, busy testing and you don’t get the results you’re expecting and boom, you run out of tests. I stopped using tests mid way through this cycle. I’d been testing 10 days and nothing so I decided screw it. Looks like you’ve been covering all your bases thought.

@Wearenotyourkind thanks for the advice about day 21 bloods. If this is another bust cycle I may give the doc a call on Monday. I’ll have my fingers crossed for you getting an extra special bday prezzie this year.

I am currently CD26 and this due on Sunday. However this is according to my Ava bracelet data. Typically I have been starting AF on day 24/25 so I am a bit over what’s normal for me. Not feeling symptomatic for either pregnancy or period and I’ve taken a pregnancy test yesterday and today and both negative. Soooo I’m guessing I’m not pregnant this month and I’m just waiting for the inevitable.

jx0x0 · 12/10/2020 14:38

Hey everyone,

I hope you all had great weekends and are doing ok on this rainy Monday morning.

@Positivity2019 - Any sign of AF yet? Keeping everything crossed you! Defo contact your GP re. day 21 bloods. It's just a simple blood test that takes 2 mins and will be able to put your mind at rest or if there is a progesterone issue they can treat you accordingly.

@Wearenotyourkind - I am glad you're feeling more positive and that counseling is helping you. I find stuff like diet and exercise so helpful. There are so many things that are out of control so it's nice to feel like you're doing something proactive. I found downloading a steps app really helped. I have been doing lots of walking in the parks near me and it's nice to see the distances etc.Good luck with the 21 bloods. Hopefully that will give you some answers about your LP.

@Missgoldilocks - Good news about your mum! That must be such a relief. I hope all goes well for her from here. I am glad you enjoyed your holiday and had a good FW. Jealous you got to go to Italy. How dreamy! Did you have lots of pizza?

@hwotsit - How are you doing? I hope you're ok and navigating your way through your referral. Has your GP managed to sort everything for you?

I got my endometrium biopsy results back and they were all normal. Turns out I just have a thick lining (?) but all the cells etc are normal. Was a big relief. Went for my baseline scan and was convinced I'd still have to go on the pill for a month to thin it out but it was 5mm (previously it had been 9mm on CD3.) So to my surprise it looks like I'm having a transfer this month. Doing a medicated cycle and for some reason these meds are making me feel really emotional / anxious. I can't stop crying which is not like me! Transfer should be in about 10 days though so I don't have to be on them for too long. All feels very surreal. I know I mustn't get my hopes up though, so am trying to remain as neutral as possible.

Love to you all.

Positivity2019 · 13/10/2020 19:31

@jx0x0 hiya, unfortunately AF got me on Sunday, right on time. I was both upset and cried because I was sure I was preggars because it was a 27 day cycle and that never happens and also trying to be upbeat and positive because getting a 27 day cycle is great and hopefully things are improving as far as my cycles go.
I play to make an appointment for the bloods. It’s time for some more action and hopefully we can have some good news on the new year.
You must be buzzing with excitement about your transfer. I hope it all goes well. Make sure to take care of yourself and let us know how it goes.

Hope everyone else is doing fine.

Missgoldilocks · 14/10/2020 10:57

@Positivity2019 sorry to hear af got you :( but glad for the 27 day cycle! This journey is very hard and it's hard to stay positive! I'm going to really try though. Had more news that someone else is pregnant, just feels like there must be an issue seeing as it hasn't happened and I think unexplained is the worst because you can't fix it. Anyway ramble ramble lol I have no idea what dpo I am, I don't feel pregnant I feel pretty normal, but I'm happy and will be spending the day with my friend which will be really nice since I never really see anyone! I hope you're well x

@jx0x0 hey there! Yes lots of amazing pizza with Mortadella pistachio and lemon on it!! Literally the best pizza of my life haha. Hope you're well x

@Wearenotyourkind how are you hun? X

@jx0x0 also hurray for the biopsy results!! That's amazing, you have a lovely healthy lining for that bubba :) hope all goes well for your transfer!! My poor sister isn't really reacting well to the meds for ivf, she went for the pulling of the eggs and only managed to get one which didn't fertilise so she has to go through the whole cycle again, she's very upset plus the doctor keeps telling her she's quirky so she feels it's her fault its not it working now. Fingers crossed this cycle will be better for her anyhow and I await your good news too! :) xx

@Positivity2019 I am sorry AF came. Sending love to you. Great that your cycles are regulating though. That must be a silver lining at least. The is a fresh cycle with new hope so fingers crossed you get your BFP before Christmas. Also great that you're contacting your doctor for blood tests. I always think the more action the better. Be prepared to be pushy too. I have discovered that even with private clinics you have to push to get the tests and answers that you want.

@Missgoldilocks Your poor sister. That must be very hard. And the doctor calling her 'quirky' is just offensive. Are they trying her on a new protocol this month? I have heard that sometimes changing the IVF medications can get you very different / improved results if things don't work out the first time. Again tell her to be pushy and ask for details of what they plan on doing differently this time.

How is everyone else? I hope you're all staying positive. There is a good podcast called BFN that I have been listening to. It's very informative and nice to hear the experiences from other women.

Love to all. X

MF1981 · 16/10/2020 10:15

All good here. Just waiting really! I start IVF meds with my next period which is due 6th November. I found out that we’re not allowed to try naturally this month so that’s a bit disappointing but I guess we’re pretty much resigned to the fact we’re doing IVF now. Hope everyone else is doing ok x

Wearenotyourkind · 16/10/2020 17:39

Hey everyone. I've had a tearful day. Got my day 21 progesterone bloods back and result is only 14. My understanding is it should be 30+. I've got a call booked with GP for Tuesday, but it literally hit me like a tonne of bricks when I saw the words "abnormal result". I know logically that knowledge is power and it's better to know if there is a problem, so that a treatment plan can be sorted out...but it just felt like another kick in the teeth. But if I have low progesterone, it might explain the miscarriage, short LP, fibroids, weight gain. Anyway, I'll see what the GP says. I feel a bit better now I've had a good cry and sweated it out at the gym.

@MF1981 shame you can't try naturally this month, but won't be long til the IVF meds starts. Keeping everything crossed for you!

@jx0x0 thanks for the podcast recommendation, I'll give that a go. Great news about your biopsy results! How are your emotions now? Feeling any less anxious and tearful? Bloody meds! Keep your chin up.

@Missgoldilocks aw your poor sister, that's awful for her. Some doctors really do have a bloody way with words, FFS! How are you getting on?

@hwotsit hope you're doing okay lovely?

@Positivity2019 sorry AF got you - we really need some positive news on this thread now! Good to hear about your cycle length though, so at least that's something. I would definitely encourage you to ask the GP for the bloods - we've all been waiting long enough now. I lit a candle for our angel babies last night xx

MF1981 · 16/10/2020 17:43

Thanks @Wearenotyourkind - just freaked myself out watching the how to videos for injecting myself. Started panicking about how am I going to do this?!

jx0x0 · 16/10/2020 20:24

@Wearenotyourkind I am so sorry you've had a rubbish day. It must come as a nasty shock. However the up side - it's great that you know now and you can get the right medication to boost your progesterone. I am currently doing a medicated cycle for my IVF transfer because my estrogen was too high - and making my lining too thick. As it's a medicated cycle my natural hormones are essentially shut down so they are also giving me progesterone. I am taking them in the form of pessaries. I have no idea what your doctor will say / I am defo not qualified at all but it may be that you will need to take some progesterone pessaries to get your hormones balanced out. Basically I just wanted to say that although it feels scary to discover there is a problem it's actually good to know. Knowledge is power in this situation. Now you can get the right meds and it will significantly increase your chances of conception. Today was a crap day but you have made good progress!

@MF1981- Don't worry about IVF injections. The needles are so thin you can barely feel them, honestly.

Big love to all.

X

Wearenotyourkind · 16/10/2020 21:27

Thank you so much for the lovely and encouraging words @jx0x0. Reading this has helped no end. Keeping everything crossed for your medicated cycle and transfer xx

You got this @MF1981 xx

Hey all! I was also on holiday over the weekend which was lovely to get away we had an absolute blast!!

@hwotsit sorry you're thinking endometriosis, I thought that too because I have such bad period pains and sickness. I got my tubes checked and they couldn't see anything abnormal, apparently though I think they can see if there is some hidden during a Laparoscopy, so once I finally get a appointment I'll be asking for that to see if there is any too.

@Wearenotyourkind sorry about your pogesterone levels, the great thing about this though is that they can give you a pogesterone supplement which would allow you to get pregnant :) which would be amazing!! So good luck xx

@Positivity2019 sorry af got you :( but great news for a longer cycle!! Hoping you have better luck this cycle xx

@jx0x0 I think her doctor is going to consult with his panel, but I have told her that if they aren't going to tailor to her she shoukd think about maybe trying someone else who will. Hope all is well with you? X

@MF1981
Hey I think my sisters partner helps my sister with her injections :) justake sure to look at the package and to inject the correct ones! She messed it up first time round lol x

Oh I forgot to add my update hahah well no update really, don't feel pregnant and don't know when af will come. If I ovulated on cd15 it should be here tomorrow but I don't know when i ovulated! I am getting af type pains but they aren't strong really, felt a bit sick yesterday but I always feel sick before af comes so I guess we will see. I would love to get a bfp lol but I don't think I have a high chance of that being the case. It's a sad journey!!

Missgoldilocks · 22/10/2020 14:54

Hope everyone is well onto another month for me also since af came today. This is a bit ridiculous now honestly 😕

OP posts:
MF1981 · 22/10/2020 16:35

Aw sorry @Missgoldilocks - that sucks. I agree it can feel so ridiculous month after month. A girl I work with told me the other day how in March they decided to postpone their summer wedding because of covid and thought they might as well try for a baby in the meantime and now she’s due in January. So she must have got pregnant first time! Seems to be so easy for some people and then here’s us struggling month after month. Feel for you hun x

Missgoldilocks · 22/10/2020 16:47

@mf1981 lol right!! God I was that girl 9 years ago haha now I'm like, womb can you PLEASE do your damn job?! How are you doing? X

MF1981 · 22/10/2020 21:47

I’m ok - meds get delivered tomorrow. Eeekk!

jx0x0 · 26/10/2020 11:22

@hwotsit I'm sorry you've been feeling anxious, especially on your holiday! Have you got your referral sorted now? Make sure you write a list of all the things you want to speak to your fertility consultant about. I found that really helpful. And if you are really suffering with your period pains don't let them fob you off. You deserve answers.

@MF1981 good luck with your upcoming cycle! Have you had your baseline scan yet?

@Missgoldilocks Sorry AF came! I hope you're ok. How is your sister doing too?

@Wearenotyourkind How are you? Have you spoken to your doctor about your progesterone results? I hope you have a plan to move forward with.

I had my FET last Tuesday. Was feeling positive but beginning to worry about my lack of symptoms! I feel the same as I do every month so not feeling too hopeful right now.

Love to all.

MF1981 · 26/10/2020 15:12

I’m a bit confused as to what a baseline scan is to be honest! I had a scan where they did my AFC and checked the shape etc of my ovaries and uterus and then I had my protocol prescribed after that. Is that my baseline scan? Because other than that I don’t have another one until day 5 of my medication and then every other day after that.

MF1981 · 26/10/2020 15:13

Stay positive @jx0x0 - fingers crossed for you x

Positivity2019 · 26/10/2020 19:59

Hello everyone, how are you all doing. I see a few of you have been away on holiday, hope you’ve had a lovely time.
I’ve been busy with packing for my move. It’s kept me preoccupied which has been pretty nice actually. Nae clue what to expect this month but today is the end of my ovulation so I’m sure we’ve done all we can for this month.
I just wanted to let you know I’m thinking of you all, always got my fingers crossed for you all. One day we will have our bambino’s.

Wearenotyourkind · 27/10/2020 14:22

Hi everyone. I spoke to GP about the results of my 21 day bloods. As my last cycle ended up being only 24 days, the test wasn't done 7 days before AF. I did ovulate earlier though and extended my LP by one day, so hoping the increase in vit b6 is helping. So the GP wants to re do the bloods this cycle on day 16 and 21, to check we didn't miss the peak. She said if it's still low, she'll write to fertility consultant for advice on what to prescribe. The GP said hopefully this will mean I won't need to wait ages for a referral, if needed. Anyway, I'm CD10 today, so will start OPKs. Have had to cancel acupuncture this week as we are currently waiting for Covid test results for my husband 🙄 in other news, I turned 35 at the weekend, which is officially horrendous 😭

Exciting time re the house @Positivity2019. Do you have a moving date yet? Great to have this to distract from TTC obsession. Great you're covered for this month though. Really hoping it's a lucky month for you!

Sorry can't help re the baseline scan @MF1981 have you got the meds now? When do you have to start injecting?

Keeping everything crossed re your FET @jx0x0 no symptoms doesn't necessarily mean you're out.

Did AF arrive @Missgoldilocks?? Agree, it's a sad journey for some of us. Hang in there.

Hope you had a fab holiday @hwotsit. Sorry that you had a bad AF though. Any progress re the referral yet??

Love to all 💗

Hi all, I also started TTC In July 2019. I have just been diagnosed with PCOS and had my hsg last week.
