Hey! Looks like our thread filled up

@Positivity2019 @Wearenotyourkind @hwotsit @jx0x0

@Wearenotyourkind nothing us women can't handle. It was just like an uncomfortable smear but nothing to faint over how some women were saying it was but then again everyone is different. I didn't feel the dye go in or anything :)
How are you?? X

@Positivity2019 I'm sorry to hear you're feeling down. I do totally get it. And there's probably nothing much I can say that will make you feel any better. I've been there. But I understand and I am here for you. This journey for some of us is way more brutal than I ever imagined. I honestly believe you will get there. There is just so much that feels outside of our control during TTC. But it sounds like you're doing amazingly well on the weight loss. I really think this made a difference for me. Have you thought about trying acupuncture at all? I've been having it since September and I believe that has also helped. Counselling also really helped me from an emotional and psychological point of view. Sending you a massive hug ❤️

@Wearenotyourkind your support is greatly appreciated. I feel lucky to have my people around me who are all very supportive but unless you’ve struggled like this to conceive you just don’t really know how it feels and having people here to share their journey, their ideas and even their success stories is helpful and comforting, so thank you.
I’ve not tried acupuncture but I may do some research into it. I’m willing to try anything. I think weight loss will be the biggest thing to help us. I really feel like I ovulated this month. All the symptoms are there, my boobs are so tender already and I would’ve only ovulated over the weekend!

Thanks @Wearenotyourkind. I’ve not been on in a while so missed this message. I have up and down days. Definitely feels hopeless at this point if I’m honest. I’m just plodding on with it all and focusing on decorating my house and sorting my garden and being patient.
I hope you’re keeping fine x

@Positivity2019 I do totally get this. You're doing so well with continuing be patient with it when I know it's so hard after all this time. Great that you have your lovely house and garden to focus on though. How are you doing with the weight loss? If you haven't looked into it yet, I also really do recommend the acupuncture. I'm still having it, but now only once every 3 weeks. I hope you get support from your partner too 💗

@Wearenotyourkind Thank you so much for checking in. How are you keeping?
I was late this cycle, four days, but AF came on Monday and broke my heart. So it’s onto another month of trying. I’m still chipping away at weight loss. I’ve booked onto a clubbercise class with some work chums so that will definitely help with weight loss.
I’m lucky enough that my partner is very supportive. I know this is hard for him too but he gives me everything I need. We are still waiting for another appointment with the fertility clinic. I’m actually thinking to give them a nagging email next week to find out what’s happening.

@Missgoldilocks lovely to hear from you, thanks for the message, hope your fine.
I’m pretty much at the point where I can’t see it happening and it feels like it’s something that happens to other people but not me. It feels like the most distant possibility really. I’m not giving up in any way, but yea, morale is low.
My partner has his examination and tests on the 28th July and then hopefully get results and another video appointment to plan next steps. It’s been slow to get his tests.
Anyway, slowly melting in this heat and enjoying a more relaxed work life as the kids are on holiday.

Ah darling @Positivity2019 it probably doesn't help now, but I honestly felt like that too. I thought it only happened for others and it was just never going to happen for us - with my fibroids, low progesterone and miscarriage. I appreciate you've been trying for longer than us now though. It's so hard not to lose hope - I really get that. I know I don't have any solutions- but don't want you to feel alone in how you feel.

You must be almost ready to pop @Missgoldilocks?!

Hey ladies,

Sorry been terrible on here. I had to take some time out from google / Mumsnet as I found pregnancy a very anxious time!

I had my little boy in July. All good so far. He's very sweet but struggling with the standard sleep deprivation and chaos.

So pleased to see such good news on the thread for many. @Missgoldilocks Congratulations! How you finding it?

Also v happy for @Wearenotyourkind How many weeks are you now?

@Positivity2019 Sorry you've been struggling. Have you got a referral for treatment yet? Big love to you.

@hwotsit How are you doing? I hope all is well with you. Would love to hear how you are.

Much love to all. X

I'm almost 36 weeks. One week left at work . Still feels surreal.

Congrats also @Missgoldilocks ! That's quite a weight. I bet he is one cute chunk.

Still think about you often @Positivity2019 and am sending love.

@jx0x0 congratulations on your little boy. I’m sorry to hear your pregnancy was an anxious time but he is here safe and sound and you can soak up every bit of him.

@Wearenotyourkind not long to go now, you must be super excited. Good luck with the big day/days when it arrives.

My partner and I have started researching having IVF abroad with a view to doing it May time next year. I am still committing to get my BMI down but I am out of patience with the NHS and their unrealistic BMI rules for IVF. My mental health is in ruins and I can’t keep waiting. So the preferred BMI for private is 35 which I find much more manageable so I am aiming for that. Fingers crossed something happens in the meantime but at this point I don’t hold out any hope. So yeah, just the same here. Thanks for the thoughts and the check in. ❤️

Thank you @Positivity2019. I'm mindful that it may be difficult to hear about our updates on this thread. If so, I'm sorry and wouldn't ever want to upset you as we all know how hard it can be. I think your plan sounds good and hopefully has given you new goals to aim for. I totally get the BMI thing. It feels like another stick to beat us with. I'm hoping your partner/family/friends are supporting you well. Are you also getting any mental health support? I found the counselling I had completely invaluable. I started it through work (6 funded sessions) and then continued paying privately. And for me, it was worth every penny. My GP was also great, but I have already been on antidepressants for a number of years. However you need it, I hope you are getting some support 💜

@Wearenotyourkind I am well supported by my friends and my partner is great also. I have been thinking about counselling and may look into this. I have found a company that helps you connect with a fertility clinic abroad and I think they also offer counselling. So that could be a good start. Anyway, I’m super glad to hear how you are all getting on and even though it is hard and makes me a little sad I’m not joining you all yet, I am genuinely over the moon for you all. X

Hi @jx0x0 hie are you getting on?

I had a boy on 16/10 slightly earlier than expected as I needed to be induced due to concerns for his growth tailing off. He's 6 weeks now though and doing well.

Hope everyone else is okay?

@Positivity2019 I think about you often and really hope things work out for you.

Hello @Wearenotyourkind @jx0x0
Can’t have IVF on NHS until I lose weight so we are going abroad to do it next year. I am currently working on weight loss so I have a BMI of around 35 for that. Nothing more we can do. I try not to think about it anymore because I’m just over it.
Thanks for the thoughts and congratulations on your wee boy. Hopefully you’re all doing well. ❤️
