Hey! Looks like our thread filled up

@Positivity2019 @Wearenotyourkind @hwotsit @jx0x0

@Wearenotyourkind nothing us women can't handle. It was just like an uncomfortable smear but nothing to faint over how some women were saying it was but then again everyone is different. I didn't feel the dye go in or anything :)
How are you?? X

Welcome @ACMJ sorry you also find yourself here. How do you feel about the PCOS diagnosis? What's the plan now?

MF1981 · 27/10/2020 14:51

@Wearenotyourkind the meds arrived last Friday so start tablets on Sunday and then if AF plays ball I start injecting a week on Saturday. Had my mock embryo transfer today which was absolutely fine and nowhere near as bad as my hsg.

Welcome @ACMJ. How was your hsg? How are you feeling about the diagnosis? I have PCO but not S

ACMJ · 27/10/2020 15:22

@Wearenotyourkind I feel ok to be honest. I knew something was wrong for years and had several failed diagnosis from different doctors who said I didn’t have PCOS. I got referred to a fertility clinic and they diagnosed me within one scan!! The plan for me now is to start letrozole sometime in December and see if that works and go from there! Very nervous it won’t work!

@MF1981 hello! If I’m being totally honest it was horrible. I didn’t feel any pain during the test and it was over really quickly but when the catheter went in my days Shock. They said everyone responds to it differently though and that was the only bit that caused pain for me the rest I didn’t feel a thing! I’m feeling ok about the diagnosis (see above) and I’m just glad to have answers!

MF1981 · 27/10/2020 15:29

Yeah I feel you - my hsg was traumatic to be honest. Good that you have answers - try and trust in the process and the doctors x

Positivity2019 · 27/10/2020 21:25

@Wearenotyourkind even though it must be disappointing to have to redo those bloods it sounds like you’re feeling positive about your cycle. It’s good that your GP is looking to contact the fertility specialist for advice, that should really speed things up and that must be a relief.
We got confirmation today that we get the keys on Nov 18th so not long to go at all. Feels like there is so much to do. It’s nice to have something exciting and positive to focus on.

@Missgoldilocks sorry to hear that’s you into a new cycle. I couldn’t agree more, it is getting ridiculous. Surely we are due some good news on this thread soon!!

@MF1981 I hope all goes well for you. How are you feeling about the injecting now?

@ACMJ welcome and I’m sorry you find yourself In the same position. July 2019 seems like so long ago now. Glad to hear you have a plan moving forward with your PCOS.

@hwotsit
@jx0x0 hope your both fine

MF1981 · 28/10/2020 07:21

Thanks @Positivity2019 - great news about the new house! Weirdly I had a dream about the injections last night! I think I just want to get the first one done now as it’s become a big thing in my head.

Positivity2019 · 31/10/2020 16:05

@MF1981 yea I am sure it must feel very nerve wracking building up to that first shot. Not knowing what to expect. You’ll be a pro before long, although I hope you don’t have to be at it for too long and this round gives you good success!! 🤞

jx0x0 · 01/11/2020 15:45

I just wanted to log on to let you know I got my first ever BFP this morning. I truly cannot believe it. Praying it progresses ok but for now I'm just over the moon to see two little lines.

I hope you are all having a nice weekend. I would love to stick around on this thread because I have felt so much support from you all. Having just been through the IVF process I hope I can be helpful to those whose are just getting going with it.

Love to all.

X

Wearenotyourkind · 01/11/2020 16:33

@jx0x0 OMG OMG OMG!!!! Congratulations! Absolutely thrilled for you 💗

Positivity2019 · 01/11/2020 21:35

@jx0x0 huge congratulations!!! What amazing news. Good news is long overdue on this thread. ❤️

MF1981 · 02/11/2020 07:26

Aw great news!!!

MF1981 · 02/11/2020 07:41

I took my first progynova tablets last night so my ivf cycle has officially started. I really don’t know what’s coming over the next few weeks but I’m ready for it. I think!

Missgoldilocks · 05/11/2020 16:09

Hey guys sorry I've been quiet I've been really trying to distract myself and probably still will be!
@mf1981 ahh that's great news!! I hope it all goes smoothly for you ❤️❤️how have you found the first week? Xx

So my fertility appointment was brought forward and I had it yesterday, I'm quietly happy that I will undergo Laparoscopy at the end of the month and though it sounds a little off, I am hoping they find small things that could cause issues that they can extract! Instead of "I found nothing" and I'm still in the same place lol
She said I'm at a high risk of adhesions because I had a c section, terminations and copper coil! So she's going to clean me all out and then I should hopefully fall naturally, that's if there are things to be cleaned out. So fingers crossed that it goes well 😭😭 god knows I need it xxxx

I hope everyone is well?? X

So glad that things are moving forward for you @Missgoldilocks. The first few days have been fine - I’m a bit gassy from the tablets but nothing major. Just waiting for AF now and then I can get on with the injections. Just hoping and praying that my clinic doesn’t get a covid outbreak and is able to stay open.

How is everyone?

Wearenotyourkind · 10/11/2020 10:49

Hey everyone

How are you doing @jx0x0?

Has AF arrived yet @MF1981? If so, hope the injections are going okay!

I can totally see why you'd be excited about have the laparoscopy @Missgoldilocks. Any investigations feels like a step forward for us at this stage as we've all been waiting so long and it's hard not to lose hope. Was this your NHS fertility appt or private?

How are you doing @Positivity2019? Probably busy sorting things for the house move! Hope it's all going well.

CD24 here and 6DPO, I think. Have been feeling a bit odd, but can't imagine it's pregnancy-related. I had day 21 Progesterone bloods again this cycle - at CD16 and CD20 - results for day 20 came back as 18.7, so better than last cycle, but still not high enough. I've got another call booked with the GP for next week, so hoping she'll get advice from gynae consultant. Still continuing with the counselling and acupuncture. Some days are better than others, which I'm sure is the case for most of us.

Sending love to you all xx

Wearenotyourkind · 10/11/2020 10:50

Hope you're doing okay too @ACMJ

ACMJ · 10/11/2020 11:12

@Wearenotyourkind thank you so much! I hope you all are as well.

It’s all been a bit of a polava this end! My local fertility clinic had transferred all of their nhs patients back to the main hospital without telling anyone! The hospital apparently didn’t even know and aren’t ready for it meaning the treatment we were going to be getting (letrazole) in 3 weeks would be delayed by 4/5 months!!!

We decided to go private but having trouble sorting out that as well as the clinic keep saying they will ring me back and never do. The receptionists know my name now Blush just waiting to hear today but guarantee another day with nothing Sad

MF1981 · 10/11/2020 12:34

Yes AF was 2 days late so started injections last night. I was so nervous about it but my fiancé did it for me and he was brilliant! He’s definitely chief injection giver from now on!

Wearenotyourkind · 11/11/2020 13:51

Gosh @ACMJ that does all sound like a right ball ache! So frustrating that things may be delayed for you if you decided on NHS route. Great that it sounds like you have the option to go private though. Really hope you get things moving soon! Did you hear back from the clinic yet?

Glad the injections are going well so far @MF1981! Excellent work by your OH!

CD25/7DPO here - the waiting game continues...

MF1981 · 11/11/2020 14:14

Thanks @Wearenotyourkind! He’s been so good at doing them and I get a piece of chocolate afterwards so I’m happy!

jx0x0 · 13/11/2020 11:55

Hey everyone,

I'm good thanks @Wearenotyourkind. 6 weeks today according to my app. We have our viability scan at the clinic next Thursday so fingers tightly crossed for that. I am glad to hear you're getting your progesterone monitored. I hope the gynae will give you some answers. I am still taking progesterone pessaries and will do until 12 weeks. My biggest tip, if you get given them, is put them up the 'back door' not the front door. I have tried both ways and back door is 100% less messy! ; ) Also glad to hear you're still going with the counseling, I hope, bit by bit , you have more good days than bad.

@hwotsit How are you? Are you feeling less anxious? I hope you have your referral sorted now. Hopefully you'll feel more in control once you have a plan in place for your fertility tests and answers about your period pains. Sending you lots of love.

@ACMJ Ugh, admin errors that slow down treatment are the most ANNOYING things. I guess people don't realise how important time is to someone who is on a fertility journey!!! Makes my blood boil! I hope you get everything moving soon.

@Positivity2019 I hope all is well with your move. Such a good distraction. We are trying to put our flat on the market at the moment. I am so bad at life admin so it's all quite daunting. Exciting times for you. Keep us updated.

@MF1981So good that you have started your injections. And chocolate afterwards sounds like the perfect reward. Once you're in the swing of it you'll be fine - aren't they a lot less painful than you'd expect them to be?

@Missgoldilocks Good luck with your Laparoscopy. I know what you mean by wanting to find something wrong. It's a weird feeling. If there is something the matter then they can fix it. Modern medicine is so amazing. I feel like I have learn't so much during my slightly frantic googling sessions and grilling doctors, ha!

Lots of love to everyone.

ACMJ · 13/11/2020 12:42

@Wearenotyourkind I know it’s been a nightmare! Yes I heard back after ringing them again 3 and 4 days later! Hopefully starting next week or the week after as they don’t have any letrozole in stock! How are you?

@jx0x0 honestly I felt like such a pain ringing all the time!! But as you say nobody realises how even a month makes you feel awful when you’re going through this you just want answers and for it to be sorted! Thank you! They don’t have any letrazole in stock so they’ve said for me to ring back next week and try to get booked in if they Have any in stock! How are you?

MF1981 · 13/11/2020 13:27

@jx0x0 definitely not as bad as expected!
