Tracking your cycle and possible BFP using RHR - part 2

Hi ladies,

This is for all of us with heart rate monitors who wish to help each other analyse the RHR patterns throughout our cycles.

Early research shows there's a correlation with increasing RHR and BFPs - so let's try and spot some together!

See attached my current chart - at 10DPO my RHR is at it's all time high this cycle and has not started to decline for AF yet. Fingers crossed!

@LS2020 I really like it, it's so easy to use. I know what you mean, it is pricey but I hit cycle 10 and decided I wanted to take more control! Hmm I guess it's quite different to the Ava bracelet as that monitors different things.

Thanks, got the second peak this morning and I reckon I will probably ovulate today. Then back in to the TWW!!

LS2020 · 05/08/2020 08:53

@Fran2020 think I’ll use up my CB sticks next month and give it a go. Yeah Ava looks good but think was £200 and given I have such short cycles, know I must O somewhere in there so didn’t feel worth it?

🤞🏻 For you that today’s the day. I think I’m about 2dpo and sat googling 2dpo symptoms, I will never learn 😂

Juno231 · 05/08/2020 09:14

10dpo and rhr has plummeted! It's funny tracking this alongside bbt though as my temps are nice and high and FF thinks I might be having a triphasic chart which is good. Then I've got RHR telling me AF is on her way 😅.

@Fran2020 that looks promising! Keep us posted!

Does a drop in heart rate in early pregnancy always mean miscarriage? I've just looked at mine and it's dropped 2bpm. I'm 5 weeks 5 days No spotting/bleeding and still feeling sick. Maybe I should take the Fitbit off now if this is normal? Any advice appreciated

SarahTTC2020 · 05/08/2020 09:24

@chrissagcat 2bpm really isn't that much, I'd say normal fluctuation but maybe take your Fitbit off for a while if it's going to cause you stress

@Juno231 I dont know what a triphasic chart is but yeah I would look at rhr and think AF based on that, I really hope it's not! If your temps are still good 🤞

@Mrsi2020 I'm cd26. Fitbit puts my ovulation at cd29 but I reckon it was last weekend 🤷🏼‍♀️ still DTD just in case. I have cycles of around 42 days generally although last one was a random 32!

chrissagcat · 05/08/2020 09:57

@SarahTTC2020 thanks yes I think I will! It was very handy before to see it rise just before I got my BFP though!

Moominmiss · 05/08/2020 10:35

9dpo today. No idea what I expect from my charts anymore. Sometimes they look promising, sometimes not so much. But always the same outcome. I want to stop wearing my Fitbit just so it’s one less thing to scrutinise every month, but I can’t.

mumof23188 · 05/08/2020 11:10

@Fran2020 yay to peak!! Brilliant news about the scan but yes fingers crossed you won’t need it!! Thank you. Think I’m 2dpo today going by the apps and my positive OPK!

@Juno231 oh my god how confusing is that! When is AF due for you? I saw your BBT on the other thread and it looks amazing!

So 2dpo today and I’m on the rise!! Hoping it rises everyday and doesn’t end up static!! Carried on with the OPK’s and levels are going down. When does everyone stop testing?

SarahTTC2020 · 05/08/2020 11:40

@mumof23188 I think we might be same dpo then! Although I'm still going with OPKs for a couple of days because I didn't see a peak (only tested once a day so may have missed it)

mumof23188 · 05/08/2020 11:52

@SarahTTC2020 ah fab. Nice to have a cycle buddy!! How are you feeling? How’s your HR? Think I’m going to carry on for a few days to make sure the levels diminish!

SarahTTC2020 · 05/08/2020 12:11

@mumof23188 yeah I'm feeling the most relaxed this cycle!! Not that dh is on board with regular sex I didn't feel the pressure to be finding exactly the right time and forcing him into it 🙈
HR was lowest ever yesterday, and 1bpm rise today so will hope it continues to rise now 🤞

BabyDust13 · 05/08/2020 12:18

Hey ladies don't know if any of you remember me but I'm back after having a d&c 2 weeks ago after a missed miscarriage.

I'm feeling much better and ready to get going again. I just wondered if any of you knew how to find our old post it had a lot of my RHR pics and I've lost all the info since changing from a Fitbit to an Apple Watch and swapping phones

Thanks for any help much appreciated and good luck to you all 🥰

poptypingchef · 05/08/2020 12:52

Hi @BabyDust13 welcome back, I’m sorry to hear this 😞

Fran2020 · 05/08/2020 13:52

@LS2020 Yeah £200 seems a lot but it does look good! Although I guess you don't need to keep buying sticks like you do with the CBFM! Hahaha I seem to google symptoms every month too! I never learn either. 😂

@Juno231 hmm that's interesting! I reckon BBT is more accurate than RHR. But everyone's body is different and sometimes it's not clear looking at either and you can still be pregnant.

@chrissagcat Thanks, will do! I wonder pay too much attention to your RHR now.

@Moominmiss Your chart looks interesting! Could be an implantation dip yesterday. Keeping positive for you!

@mumof23188 thank you! I hope I won't need it but at least it's kind of arranged. Not sure when you should stop the opks. I do 10 as that's what the monitor asks for.

Juno231 · 05/08/2020 14:10

@mumof23188 my LP seems to vary but the median is 12 days so I guess I'll know for sure on Friday! Will have to remember to pack my mooncup so I can still be on the beach/sea without worrying about AF. I think if I were you I'd carry on testing until CD20 just to be on the safe side.

@Fran2020 yeah I'd say overall BBT is def more accurate but I do find it seems to stay high until the very last second and then surprise you with AF, whereas our RHR seems to give us a bit more of a heads up AF is coming. Happy ovulation day to you btw!

BabyDust13 · 05/08/2020 17:07

@Juno231 @Mrsi2020 @poptypingchef thank you. I'm ok it's been a tough couple of months but I'm feeling much better now my family and OH have been amazing.

How are you all? 🥰

I did have a look through the old link but then I thought it's not going to make much difference might as well start a fresh. I'm going to try and just stay chill from now on and not track every little thing but it's much easier said then done 🤣

SarahTTC2020 · 05/08/2020 18:42

Oh @BabyDust13 so sorry to see you back 😔😔 big hugs xx wishing you all he luck for a rainbow baby

Fran2020 · 05/08/2020 21:25

@BabyDust13 I'm really sorry to hear about your missed miscarriage. Sending you lots of positive thoughts xx

@Juno231 Hmmm yeah, that makes sense about BBT vs RHR. I don't currently track temperatures as I don't need anything else to obsess over! 😆 Thank you! I've totally felt ovulation so I know it's happened!

BabyDust13 · 05/08/2020 21:38

@Fran2020 @SarahTTC2020 thanks ladies hope you are well 🙂

Mrsi2020 · 06/08/2020 08:05

I’m good mrs, still here, took a few weeks out as it is all consuming and really something we have little control over! Hope you get your sticky soon.!

This is my rhr today. I think I’m 3dpo today xxx

BabyDust13 · 06/08/2020 08:31

@Mrsi2020 sometimes it's good to have a break from it all. Your chart looks good though

It's so soon after my d&c I'm just enjoying being able to DTD again not really thinking about timings or any thing right now. 2 months is a long time to have no sex think I was starting to get withdrawals 😂

mumof23188 · 06/08/2020 09:04

@Juno231 where are you off to? Hope you have a lovely time. OPKs are getting lighter now so think I’ve definitely ovulated. How’s your HR and BBT looking today?

@BabyDust13 so sorry to hear you had a mmc. Hope you have recovered now and feeling ok emotionally. That must be so tough to go through.

@Mrsi2020 I’m also 3dpo today!

@Fran2020 how are you today?

So 3dpo and on the rise! I’m far to obsessed with my RHR now and it’s the first thing I check when I wake up!!

Omg. Had big post wrote out and went to attach pictures and boom gone 🤬

Feck sake 😂😂
Morning ladies
My charts are weird. I'm only watching this while but even looking back on other months RHR I'd rise up then about 6+ days b4 af arrives it plummets.
I'd twinges and cloudy mucus yest and hoping its implantation related.
1st month tracking bbt and its slightly on the rise.

Everyone around me is pregnant. My 2nd walking partner in a short time just told me the other day she is. So if near by come walking with me, ur sure to get pregnant lol
