TTC 12 months buddies please

Hi,

We have just hit the 12 month mark of TTC and looks like AF is on the way I am on another thread that's really supportive but I do find it disheartening when people get positives on the first couple of cycles of trying. So thought I'd start a thread for anyone around about the year mark. It'll be good to share things and get advice from people who are at a similar stage to me. Im 34 and my husbands 36. We are TTC number 1 x

Really confused about my bbt this month. Has anyone had anything similar to this? I’ve also had mid cycle spotting/bleeding over the weekend.

I've actually got some news of my own... I also got my BFP! I'm now 17dpo/4 weeks. I'm excited but also terrified. I got a clear line late last week which has been getting stronger. It doesn't feel real yet after 20 months of trying, though but have a doctor's appointment tomorrow, it's a bit quick but I need a medication review now to make sure my usual medication is ok

Good news comes in threes they say, I hope there's another about to pop up in here too!

I wrapped my test up in a jewelry box for DH and said it was an early anniversary present, this one was last week. I'm surprised I managed to wait to tell him but I was in complete shock for at least an hour, I didn't believe it and had to keep checking it to make sure I hadn't imagined it

@Whilstwewait when I got my bfp last year I felt like I had a cold! Think its your immune system preparing for baby

@PlanBea congratulations so happy for you. Its so surreal isnt it after so long. Im 12 DPO today not testing again till end of week don't want to stress over lines

@Jilly1988 looks like the dip could be an implantation dip. I have only temped a couple of months. Fingers crossed x

Massive congrats 🥳 @PlanBea that is wonderful!! I'm 1dpo so I hope to be celebrating mid September. That'll be a year to almost the day of ttc!

@notyetamumbuttrying we can be tww buddies - i had a positive opk yesterday and this morning so probably 1dpo tomorrow!

@PlanBea what wonderful news! 2 BFPs in one month, thats brilliant! Gives us all hope that it can still happen.

@Annny27 good to have a tww buddy! Do you usual dtd 1dpo as well? We never do! Always the days before and ov. I'm now wondering if that's where we've been going wrong?! Although not sure I can coax him round today as had to do that yesterday and not sure I have it in me to try again 😬

@notyetamumbuttrying not its such little chance when you have actually ovulated that I can never be bothered haha. The month we got our bfp we dtd 3 days before ov, 1 days before ov and then the day of.

This month we have gone for everyday in fertile week (well evedyday I see ewcm) so this is the 6th day in a row 🤣🤣😭😭😭

@Annny27 ok, glad to see I'm not the only one then! We did 4 days in a row this time, a day break then went again yesterday, the day of ov. 5 times is the most we've done it the whole time we've ttc which is now a year mid month. It better bloody happen this time 🤪

Thank you for the support everyone. I know hearing about BFPs always stings a bit but if whilst and I can achieve it naturally after so long I hope it reminds you it can happen for any of us. I couldn't have coped with the last few cycles without all the support on here. Infertility is so cruel.

Sure they'll be some more good news on here soon. I'm having some brown spotting. I know its completely normal but its putting me so on edge. Tested again last night still really strong positive. Was a different brand though so hard to compare. Ah wasnt expecting anxiety like this but after it taking so long i can't help it x

Amazing news @PlanBea and this was the month you had been dreaming of it actually happening. It definitely keeps us all positive, I know that seeing both of your bfp’s has helped me.

@Whilstwewait I think that’s supposed to be quite normal. But completely understand the worry. Could you ring your dr tomorrow just for peace of mind?

I have been trying for 1.5 years now .
Had all sort of tests done to ensure everything is normal and it was. And my partner had a normal sperm count too.

Just feel like giving up

@CLaurenx aww so sorry to hear but can totally emphasise! Did you get all the numbers and figures bk so that you could google yourself or share with others on here? Sometimes their term of "normal" could still be low or high in one hormone or the other that you can fix with supplements/diet etc.

@Jilly1988 yes meant to be normal. My 2 friends had it for 4 weeks and had healthy babies. I've not rang doctors as nothing they can do anyway. How are you getting on?

@CLaurenx so sorry you find yourself here as well. When i set up this thread I was so fed up and depressed. It can and will still happen for you though. The next cycle could be the one xx

Morning all. Fiance just delivered his SA so fingers crossed we will hear about referral to the sub fertility clinic with a week!
