Hi,

We have just hit the 12 month mark of TTC and looks like AF is on the way Sad I am on another thread that's really supportive but I do find it disheartening when people get positives on the first couple of cycles of trying. So thought I'd start a thread for anyone around about the year mark. It'll be good to share things and get advice from people who are at a similar stage to me. Im 34 and my husbands 36. We are TTC number 1 x

Thanks @notyetamumbuttrying.
@kerrym87 its tough, the gents aren't always great at getting things done. I managed to organise it for my other half as I just asked my doctor to send him the form and cup and once it was in the house I nagged him until he phoned the clinic and booked the drop off appointment. We actually had to wait about a month for an appointment so its worth getting on with as he won't have to duck out of work immediately

Jilly1988 · 24/09/2020 20:49

Hi all hope you are ok. Just home from my fertility appointment. He has referred us through for NHS IVF as he said it is coming up to 2 years and to get the process started. I am also being booked in for another ultrasound as he said the bleeding could be from a polyp but it was possibly too small a year ago when I first had an ultrasound. He also said I could try clomid and progesterone pessaries for 3 months to see if it made a difference. Don’t know how I feel about taking them. I do seem to ovulate so possibly the pessaries I would be tempted by.

Annny27 · 25/09/2020 12:56

Afternoon :) cd8 so fertile week is not too far away for me! Husband had his SA on Wednesday so results back next week we think

@notyetamumbuttrying hope the tww goes quickly!

@Jilly1988 I am trying rhe progesterone suppositories for the next few months, I had no real side affects so I'd give them a go and see how they work out :)

@Motherofkittens28 sorry AF arrived :(

@kerrym87 maybe he is worried about the result? I know that's why some people put off doctors visits etc

Anitaatje33 · 25/09/2020 16:33

@anny27 just curious what do the progesterone suppositories do? or for what symptoms are they prescribed?

Annny27 · 25/09/2020 16:48

@Anitaatje33 since my miscarriage i can have spotting in my luteal phase from about 11dpo so it was to see if the spotting was a sign of low progesterone:)

notyetamumbuttrying · 25/09/2020 18:11

Thanks @Annny27 and good luck with the SA results!! Managed to get Dh to order proxceed plus 🙌🏾 he moaned about the price and i said well it's cheaper than private ivf!! He soon ordered it 😂

kerrym87 · 26/09/2020 09:52

Just a quick poll to see if anyone has had this.....so 8dpo and really itchy on arms, looks like hives, had this last cycle but very mild in tww . Had it 3 days out of 4, anyone else had this?

FieldsAndSun · 26/09/2020 10:12

Hi girls,

Can I please join? We’ve been TTC for 23 months and no positive yet. This is my second cycle of clomid. In my previous cycle I spotted for three days before my period started. This happens every month. So this month my doctor prescribed HCG injections in addition to clomid, one as a trigger shot with Suprecur and another HCG shot 5 days later to improve my progesterone level and help with the spotting. Can I please ask the name of the progesterone supplements you ladies are on and how you take them? I’m curious to see if I can do that instead of the injections.

Annny27 · 26/09/2020 10:18

@fieldsandsun welcome lovely and sorry you also find yourself in the plus 12 months club! We are on month 17 me and my DH!

I take the cyclogest suppositories for progesterone :)

@kerrym87 no I have never had that!

@notyetamumbuttrying thanks! We conceived after 4 months last time so I am like 80% sure he has no problems with sperm but you never know do you!

Annny27 · 26/09/2020 10:27

P.s we need to make a new thread before it gets to 1000 messages!! Not too long

FieldsAndSun · 26/09/2020 12:29

Thank you Anny Are you taking cyclogest because of spotting issues? I usually spot from 11 days after ovulation to 14 days after and then fully bleed. Are you also taking clomid can I ask? My doctor said that will help the egg quality which is why I'm taking it also. I really hope this works for us, if it doesnt we thinking of trying IUI

notyetamumbuttrying · 26/09/2020 12:33

@Annny27 I don't mind making a new one when it's time. Does everyone want to give me their test dates and I'll add those to the first msg and tag everyone?

Narwhal88 · 26/09/2020 13:03

@notyetamumbuttrying my DH has been taking proxeed for 3 days now. He says it tastes disgusting but he mixed it with orange juice (not squash) today and said it was much better - just a tip if yours finds it hard to take!
Thanks for making a new thread! My next AF is due 17/10, I never test though.

Anitaatje33 · 26/09/2020 14:08

@notyetamumbuttrying thanks so much! I have a HSG on monday, bloods get tested in my next cycle, currently on CD6

kerrym87 · 26/09/2020 14:27

@notyetamumbuttrying AF due 5/10 for me c

Annny27 · 26/09/2020 16:10

@notyetamumbuttrying perfect :D AF due around 18th October:)

@FieldsAndSun yes, I can spot from 11dpo. My doctor said it shouldn't be a problem and I did actually conceive after 4 months but ended in miscarriage at 12 weeks so he said I shouldn't have a progesterone issue but that I cant harm to use them and see if it works :)

No I a. Mot taking clomid but I have heard it can improve egg quality if you take them even if you know you ovulate

Motherofkittens28 · 26/09/2020 17:57

Thanks @notyetamumbuttrying next AF 22/10 for me

FieldsAndSun · 26/09/2020 19:32

Thanks Anny I hope the extra progesterone works for both of us 🤞
Yes please can I be added, AF due 28/09

Hayley19835 · 26/09/2020 20:22
