TTC 12 months buddies please

Hi,

We have just hit the 12 month mark of TTC and looks like AF is on the way I am on another thread that's really supportive but I do find it disheartening when people get positives on the first couple of cycles of trying. So thought I'd start a thread for anyone around about the year mark. It'll be good to share things and get advice from people who are at a similar stage to me. Im 34 and my husbands 36. We are TTC number 1 x

I’m the same with testing. That’s only the second test I’ve ever taken and only did it as I was 4 days late on a clockwork cycle. I think I will wait until I’m at least a week late before I test again. The only positive is at least something can actually happen and can get that far, that’s what I’m trying to focus on at the minute and a weekend full of treating myself.

@Jilly1988 yes for you it was definitely the right time to test. Its good to know what's going on and definitely a positive that you got pregnant.Hopefully this cycle is the one. Waiting a week after AF would be hard i think because deep down you'd still think chemical with it being so late x

I hope you're doing ok @Jilly1988. I've never had a chemical or anything in all the time we've been trying. I can't imagine what it felt like going from BFP to AF

@Jilly1988 hope your feeling OK but don't feel bad for testing you was 4 days late, and like you say at least you know it can happen, my sister had 1 also a couple of years ago and got pregnant straight away, and my mum told her the same as she told me maybe its are bodys flushing everything out preparing for next cycle, hope its you chance next cycle 🤞🤞
Still no sign of AF I had that spotting 2 nights ago and nothing since, keep getting cramps on my right side nothing bad tho, im now 5 days late going to buy some tests today and have them ready and try and hold out till monday 🤞🤞

I tested at 12dpo today and BFN so guess that's me into month 15 😭

Still a teeny tiny chance ofcourse but more than likely I will get AF on sunday

I don't know what's happening this month, but I am getting a LOT of EWCM. I'm only CD11 and not due to ovulate until about CD17 bit the past two days my cervix has been doing its best. Hopefully this is a good sign for this cycle, is month 20 a lucky one...??

Thank you i really hope so, my pains got worse before but not bad now there like light cramps but all on my right side, does anyone know what these could be trying so hard to not get my hopes up,

@PlanBea do you do opks? Could be that your body is getting ready for ovulation early maybe? Im month 20 too i really hope it is August could be the lucky month 🤞👏

Is there room for another one? Going into month 12 of ttc, getting fed up, my husband has just had a wobble with anxiety for first time lately and I'm a nurse working 12 hour shifts (on a baby unit! 😖) Really fed up but have some good days, it's just so hard to stay positive . Makes me feel a little better there's others in same boat!

AF is on her way started bleeding feel like crying dont know why but this month feels the worst 😢 think i was so convinced this was the month, I really wanna have a month off trying but its addictive
@kerrym87 it really is so hard im just happy I have all the girls on here to talk to makes me feel a bit better where all in it together it will happen for us all one day 🤞

So sorry @Chel93 it SUCKS! I think my AF will be here in a day or two so we can be cycle buddies next month 💗

welcome @kerrym87 sorry you also find yourself here :( this is my 14th month total but my 8th month since my miscarriage and we are ttc number 1. What about you?

Welcome @kerrym87 I’m on my 14th Month. It really is such a tough journey. I’m sure none of us thought we would be here.

Can I join, currently 31. Ttc actively for almost 2 years, in actively longer (no contraception) not actively every month as it all gets too stressful.

Currently on cd19 praying for a miracle before I have to have a hsg (dreading it).

@Annny27 it really does, I hope you get some good news in the next few days 🤞
@Jilly1988 they really are think ive ran out of hope now, just going to wait till my next app with the fertility doctor going to try and stop myself buying any more opks and just have a break

@Chel93 so sorry to hear AF has arrived, it always seems worse when you thought all the symptoms were there and AF comes anyway, feels like you can't trust your body or your going nuts. Take care of yourself and take the time you need to grieve xxx

@Annny27 had implant out 3rd September and had withdrawal bleed within days straight away, so it will be nearly 12 months but only about 8 cycles, in the 9th now. I only have a cycle every 6 weeks most of the time, occasionally 5 weeks so I have less chance than others with shorter cycle to start with. Also think we missed this cycle as it was a week early for the first time in 3 cycles of 42, was on 2 x 12 hour shifts...........it's so hard to be patient! being a nurse i want to go and get tests done! husband also has anxiety right now and is off sick, also sometimes struggles with ED......

@kerrym87 defo start the checks with the docs, it'll be so worth it! I'm 11 months and having bloods this month. Had day 21s yesterday and will have day 3's next week as my cycles are short. Hubs has got his SA next week too. I'm ready to find out if anything is wrong or it's just taking time for us. I'm hoping the peace of mind will do us both good as we're both getting worried now. Take the plunge, honestly you won't regret it x

Morning, how is everyone? Sorry for my quietness in this thread- been struggling to keep up with them all. I'm approx 10DPO today, I had three tiny splodges of brown in CM yesterday. Not sure when I will test as I don't want the disappointment.... if I'm not pregnant this cycle (cycle 14), I've got to call the hospital to arrange my ultrasound which needs to be on CD5-9 so at least that's planned:

@Motherofkittens28 thank you its so hard isnt it i just feel like my body is playing tricks on me i had a bit of red blood couple of days ago when I wiped then nothing then yesterday all right sided cramps and red blood when I wiped ive had a towel in to check how heavy it is and nothing at all not even when I wipe but got ride sided cramps still just dont know what is going on 😩

So today is our 12 month mark 😢

Partner did his repeat SA yesterday so now waiting for the results. I'm cd6 today so about to start the opk testing again

14dpo today and for those who were wondering about the progesterone and spotting - I have had no spotting this month (today is 14dpo and have had slight brown tinged cm which is expected as AF is due tomorrow) but itw certainly helped as some months i have had spotting from 9dpo :)

@kerrym87 thats really tough :( have you considered home insemination if your DH suffers with ED? There's a few threads about it and might take some of the pressure away :)

@Fran2020 sounds promising if you don't usually have spotting at 10DPO 🤞 have you noticed any changes to your cycle since acupuncture? Good news about your scan though. Be peace of mind for you x

@claireb707 cycle 12 hit me the hardest if its any consolation it hasn't been as bad since. 🤞for the sperm analysis

@Annny27 good to hear the progesterone worked. I'm hoping i can get some prescribed this month. Give myself more of a chance without the spotting. Hope AF doesnt arrive

@Chel93 sorry AF has arrived but good your cycle is regulating after your chemical. Hopefully this month is the one x

@kerrym87 welcome. Sorry you find yourself here but hopefully you get the support you need. As others have said I'd get started with tests just for peace of mind get them booked in for your next cycle

@PlanBea my cycle is being odd as well this month. Think I'll temp from tomorrow so i know for certain. I used to just get 1 peak then ovulate next day but now it seems darker for longer which confuses me

Cycle day 14 for me today. Usually ovulate day 18-20. Did an OPK cycle day 11 and was much darker than i normally get at this stage of my cycle but has got slightly lighter since. Wondering if I'd have had peaked if I'd started testing earlier or maybe I'll ovulate earlier this month and its still building up. Mine are usually blank at this stage.Thinking acupuncture may have made a difference. I hate not knowing. I think I'll start temping again from tomorrow just so I know for sure this month. I have had this once before but ended up ovulating normal day so maybe my body tries but fails earlier in my cycle.

Also got a massive welcome pack through from fertility clinic and as mentioned on here before. Vitamin D and folic acid are the only vitamins recommended. They also recommend no alcholol prior to starting treatment. So im officially day 1 of being tee total. Thought if we are spending possibly thousands I'd rather give myself every chance. So if anyone knows any alcohol free drinks that are nice let me know x

Anyway im rambling now 🤣 hope everyone had a lovely weekend.

Got our fertility follow up from March this Tuesday it's been changed to a phone consult which I'll take if it means it hasn't been cancelled! Will be getting OH's blood results and more info on his US he had I'm so nervous!
Currently CD18 and 6DPO for me so nothing exciting happening here AF will be due next weekend.
