Hi,

We have just hit the 12 month mark of TTC and looks like AF is on the way Sad I am on another thread that's really supportive but I do find it disheartening when people get positives on the first couple of cycles of trying. So thought I'd start a thread for anyone around about the year mark. It'll be good to share things and get advice from people who are at a similar stage to me. Im 34 and my husbands 36. We are TTC number 1 x

@Whilstwewait sounds good! If it helps, then it's great! Was it Chinese or the 5 senses thingy one? There's different types.

Chel93 · 07/08/2020 00:05

@Whilstwewait at least you have the ball rolling now hope everything goes nice and smooth for use and use get your little baby 🤞 im ok thanks got my app on Tuesday and can feel AF coming very crampy thought I would of been late this month with having a later ovulation

claireb707 · 07/08/2020 09:04

Partner has just been told they need another sample from him for SA 😢

Motherofkittens28 · 07/08/2020 09:14

@claireb707, oh no, did they say why?

claireb707 · 07/08/2020 09:15

If they did, he didn't tell me 😢

PlanBea · 07/08/2020 16:36

@claireb707 the forms for my DH say they often need to do more than one SA. I think as well with not doing them on site they're being a bit extra cautious about giving any news. When is he booked in for?

@Whilstwewait that sounds positive! I think I'll look into it for next cycle. Even if it is just for me to feel like I'm being more proactive

I've just taken delivery of "It starts with the egg". I'm so against taking unnecessary supplements but have heard good things about this book so thinking the theory is worth it even if it's just for adding to my diet. I'll let you all know what I think once I've read it!

He's collecting the sample pot and form from gp on Monday and he's booked a drop off appointment for next Friday afternoon (clinic only does appointments Monday, Wednesday and Fridays 8.30-2)

Whilstwewait · 07/08/2020 17:31

@notyetamumbuttrying it was chinese one. I just googled closest place to me that did fertility. She sent me a couple of articles that sound promising

@PlanBea yes give it a go. Nothing to lose. I've been tempted by the book but not given in yet. If it recommends anything for spotting though. Please let me know

@claireb707 oh no that's annoying. It could just be that he didn't get it all in the pot or maybe they messed it up. Im sure if something was wrong they would say what and recommend a retest not just ask for it to be tested again x

@claireb707 oh no that's annoying they didn't tell him why?

claireb707 · 07/08/2020 17:59

Yep when he rang to sort the replacement pot the receptionist said she couldn't see any reason on the notes 🙄

Annny27 · 08/08/2020 08:33

Morning :) 6dpo here and boobs are very heavy from the progesterone so I am confident that my body is utilising it :)

@claireb707 a lot of the time the request 2nd samples because perhaps by the time they went to analyse the sample the sperm weren't the best quality anymore or stuff like that. I wouldnt worry :)

@Whilstwewait you can definitleu still conceive even if you spot, plenty of women do so I would take what she said with a pinch of salt as negative mindset can impact your bodies stress. You CAN conceive and your body is capable 💗

@PlanBea I ordered that book, haven't read it yet, I got the e book version and wish i hadn't because I dont really like reading on a screen 🙈

Fran2020 · 08/08/2020 11:56

@PlanBea Hahaha agreed, if we see some BFPs here I would be tempted to drink it too! Oooh a massage, very nice! I could totally do with one of those!

@notyetamumbuttrying Such madness!

@Whilstwewait Thank you! We shall see what happens I guess. 😬 I've had a few sessions of fertility acupuncture and I told my lady about the spotting and she didn't say that. She did say about getting my body and periods balanced as it will help.

@claireb707 that's annoying that he has to provide another sample but I reckon it's quite common.

claireb707 · 08/08/2020 12:21

13dpo here, did a ic and bfn 😢
Although Temp, resting heart rate and breathing rate all went up today (temp considerably)
Just been out on my bike and felt sick the whole way round and a bit dizzy probably shouldn't have gone but need the exercise

Also my cervix has gone really high up this morning, higher than during ovulation 😮

monikafriedmancoaching · 08/08/2020 19:06

Hi @Whilstwewait
So sorry to hear that. I hear you. I waited and TTC'd for 4 years (wait, that's 48 months...aaahh). It was so hard.
The only advice I can give you (and that I give my fertility clients): be so kind to yourself, take charge of your fertility journey by doing a few simple things that are in YOUR control and get help rather sooner than later. X

Motherofkittens28 · 08/08/2020 20:36

Hey all, just got a message that one of my cousins is having a baby. I know I should be happy for them but I just feel so resentful that it isn't me. Feel like a horrible person right now 😪

Whilstwewait · 09/08/2020 01:04

@Fran2020 @Annny27 yes she said it in a really funny way. I didn't take it seriously at all but it would be great if she did sort out my periods because with my spotting its like 8 days long which is so annoying.

Glad your progesterone seems to be working. Hopefully this is your month. Im still at the boring part of my cycle on day 6.

@Motherofkittens28 aw I know how hard it is. Ive cried over so many pregnancy announcements and now they have had their babies and im still bloody waiting. I cant wait to just feel happy for people loke I used to with no resentment

@claireb707 sounds really promising. 🤞

Morning all hope everyone is coping with this heat!
Been testing away with my CB and this morning I got my Smile CD11. Never been so happy to see a smiley face! First cycle using them so hoping that they help us out!

Annny27 · 09/08/2020 09:38

morning :) I am 7dpo

@claireb707 did you test again today?

@Whilstwewait ahhh when do you usally ovulate? I find the worst part of my cycle is waiting to ovulate as I am somewhat irregular

@Motherofkittens28 I also feel nothing when people I know announce their pregnancy now which I am so sad about. I used to be elated and so excited for people and now i am like meh

claireb707 · 09/08/2020 09:47

Yep 😢 Big blank no on a frer and an ic

claireb707 · 09/08/2020 09:49

I've woken up feeling rough, like I've got a massive hangover but barely drank last night.

Temp dropped only very slightly, heart rate and breathing rate still going up.

Managed to get another 45 mins sleep after waking up initially at 6

But still feel bleugh and very hangover like.

Chel93 · 09/08/2020 10:56

Morning I'm OK AF is due to arrive today but as I ovulated Monday this week I think I'll possibly be late this month my cycle is just a bit everywere because of cp last month, just feeling a bit odd as my nipples are normally a bit sensitive ofter ovulation upto AF but there not this month.
@Hayley19835 so glad you got your smiley face have i use the cb advanced monitor i think clear blue are really good for opk testing,
@claireb707 ive woke up feeling a bit rough but didn't even drink not sure if its just the weather hot and clammy, hopefully these are good signs for you this month then 🤞🤞

It's not that hot here, cloudy and 16 here today
notyetamumbuttrying · 09/08/2020 12:56

@claireb707 ah that's disappointing considering how you feel! How many dpo are you?

claireb707 · 09/08/2020 12:58

14dpo, due today or tomorrow. But not feeling like period is imminent

Whilstwewait · 09/08/2020 15:47

@Annny27 I used to ovulate day 18 without fail for about 5 months in a row. Last 2 months its been day 20 though which feels like bloody forever. Your at that point in your cycle where I start symptom spotting like crazy. Not too long till you'll know either way x
