TTC 12 months buddies please

Hi,

We have just hit the 12 month mark of TTC and looks like AF is on the way I am on another thread that's really supportive but I do find it disheartening when people get positives on the first couple of cycles of trying. So thought I'd start a thread for anyone around about the year mark. It'll be good to share things and get advice from people who are at a similar stage to me. Im 34 and my husbands 36. We are TTC number 1 x

@PlanBea I'm been emotional wreck today feel weird, really sad but for no reason, no appetite, back ache, sore boobs and still got cramping but AF still a no show 🤷‍♀️ I'm going to test in the morning I think maybe my mid cycle bleed has sent my hormones crazy this cycle xx

Got my swab results back from the doctors and apparently I have thrush so have to do use the pessary and cream. So strange as I've not got any symptoms other that sex being uncomfortable the other day! Strange 🤷🏻‍♀️

@Whilstwewait Definitely, I'm really glad the sperm came back normal. Fingers crossed I get a BFP soon!

Morning all, so test is BFN ☹️
I've started spotting this morning and I'm cramping real bad so think AF is probably on her way just taking her sweet arse time about it x

@Whilstwewait thank you for you kind message earlier, I am definitely going yo ask the doc about my consistent short LP, unfortunately its a video consult not in person, I really want to show my BBT chart as I feel this proves something hormonal is going on. Don't know if you can see but I attached my graph for this month. Currently waiting for AF. My temp is really high during period, then drops, then goes back up just before AF arrives. Its like the exact opposite of what should happen right? My scan showed I ovulated somewhere in here

@Chel93 that's really interesting. How did you friend find getting married so soon after having the baby if you know? That's my worry, that I'll feel awful and won't be able to enjoy it. Its taking 2 years to save for so i don't want to be feeling rubbish for it

@Motherofkittens28 she was a bit worried when she got to september but when she had her she wasn't bothered she had 4 weeks till he wedding so she just eat good and we all took it in turns to mind the baby so she could enjoy he night and her auntie stayed in the hotel with the baby, so she enjoyed herself and the wedding was perfect, im sure of it comes to it and you do get pregnant youll enjoy your day if you hava a new baba with use

@Whilstwewait how are you doing? Any spotting yet? I've had nothing and I'm foolishly getting hopeful that maybe AF isn't coming. Its all I can do to not go and POAS!

@Hayley19835 so sorry you had a BFN. You were so patient this month! Hoping next month is the one for you.

@anitaatje33 is the first value on that graph CD1? It looks a bit odd! Your CD1 is definitely first day of red blood before 5pm, right? (Sorry for asking obvious questions!)

@motherofkittens28 you're on CD28 aren't you? You're a day ahead of me. Do you know when you ovulated? I'm 9dpo according to Ovusense and already POAS on an IC this morning knowing it would be negative (saving the FRERs for when I actually have a chance of a positive). I just want to know either way this month!

@PlanBea, yes cycle day 28 today, this is either 15dpo or 13dpo so I'd get a realistic result today I think. I normally start spotting 2-3 days before my period and haven't had anything. I just dont think I can take seeing another BFN, I'd rather see AF. Doesn't really make sense i know.

@Motherofkittens28 no, it makes perfect sense. I'm usually like that, but this month I did some big changes so I'm on edge to see if they've worked. However, I have started having a few twinges this afternoon so I'm now starting to think it'll be AF again

Hi @PlanBea yes the first 7 values of the graph were my full period. Odd isn't it! I wasn't ill or anything and always temp at the same time after plenty of sleep. Starting to think now my thermometer could be faulty

@PlanBea ive been cramping since Monday so I thought that was me out, its odd that nothing has come of it yet. Last month I started spotting on day 21! Twinges apparently can be implantation but all of these "facts" just get our hopes up!

@Anitaatje33, could that be your ovulation the day after your period ends? That can happen I think. I dont temp so I'm not really very up to date with these things though

@Anitaatje33 I've just checked taking charge of your fertility, you can have high temps during your period due to residual progesterone from the last cycle. They are to be ignored when drawing a coverline and aren't an issue. I think the problem might be at the other end, it looks like your body is reacting really slowly to the ovulation and your temps aren't rising until later. Have you got a previous chart to look at to see up to AF's arrival?

@PlanBea what big changes did you do this month out of interest?

@Fran2020 this was our first cycle trying to do SMEP which basically ended up being EOD from CD6 to CD24, I've changed my diet to eat a lot more fish and nuts, and focuses more on eating eggs, leafy greens, berries etc to boost progesterone. I've also mostly come off my NSAID painkillers I take for fibromyalgia, which can cause fertility issues, and done more relaxation/yoga/mindfulness. So it feels like I've put everything into this month, all cards on the table!

@Hayley19835 typical AF shows up a few hours after eventually testing. Have a pampered weekend, take care of yourself, then on to the next one. Its all we can do

@Hayley19835 aw sorry you got a negative and then the witch arrived. Maybe your random bleed was ovulation which would explain the late AF. Hope you're ok

@Motherofkittens28 eeek no spotting thats exciting. When will you test? Im 9 DPO usually spotting by now but nothing. Although this did happen 2 cycles ago and AF arrived so 🤷 she likes to play with me.

@PlanBea I've done the same as u tested last 3 days haha not like me at all just had the urge.

Gynaecology called me today i have a telephone appointment with fertility nurse on the 18th which is great news as i was expecting October. So hopefully wont be too much longer for the HSg and i can ask plenty of questions that have bothered me for months. Its Gynaecology that then refer to fertility clinic in my area so still likely we will pay for private treatment but step in the right direction

@anitaatje33 sorry im not great at charts. Maybe change thermometer just incase makes sense what @planbea said as well
